Do you offer team or group plans?

Last reviewed Oct 7, 2026 by Jeremy Werden

Short answer

Yes. Anyone on a BNBCalc Calculator or Markets plan can create a team for free in Settings → Team and invite people. Each member takes a seat billed to the owner's subscription. Extra seats on the same plan as yours cost less than your own, while the first seat on a different plan is billed at that plan's full price.

Who can create a team

If you're on the Calculator or BNBCalc Markets, you can create a team and pay for other people's access. Creating the team doesn't cost anything by itself; you pay for the seats your members use. (If you're on an older Calculator price, though, creating a team moves your own subscription to the current price.)

  1. Open Settings → Team and click Create Team.
  2. Enter a Team Name and click Create.
  3. Click Invite Member, enter the person's Email Address and pick their Membership Type: Calculator or Markets.
  4. Check the Price for New Member, then click Send Invitation.

The invitation shows as Pending under Invitations, where you can resend or cancel it.

How seats are billed

Each member takes a seat on the owner's subscription. Extra seats on the same plan as yours cost less than your own; on yearly billing, for example, an extra seat costs 25% less than the plan's full price. The first seat on a plan you don't have yourself, such as a Markets seat on a Calculator owner's team, is billed at that plan's full price.

As for timing, on a paid plan a seat is charged to the owner's card immediately, prorated for the rest of the billing period, when the invitation is accepted, not when you send it. The owner's invoice shows each seat and its exact amount.

Removing a member doesn't refund the rest of their seat's period. Their seat stays available, so the next person you invite to that same plan can take it at no extra charge until the end of the current billing period, and an empty seat stops being billed at your next renewal.

Joining a team

Invited members get an email with a link. They need to sign in with the same email address the invitation was sent to, and the link expires after a week. Keep in mind that someone who already pays for their own BNBCalc plan can't join until that plan has ended, so in that case it's often easier to invite a different email address.

What members can and can't do

Members get the full plan their seat is for, and each one works in their own account: they see only their own analyses, not their teammates'. They can't change billing, though. Their Billing page reads "Managed by team owner", and upgrade prompts tell them to "contact your team admin", meaning the owner.

A member can leave at any time with Leave Team, which moves them to a free account straight away. Members who leave or are removed go back to a free account with no analysis credits.

Canceling a team plan

Owners cancel by sending a Cancellation Request from Settings → Billing → Manage subscription, which goes to the BNBCalc team. When the owner's plan ends, every member's access ends with it. How do I cancel my subscription? covers the rest.

Frequently asked questions

Can I join a BNBCalc team if I already pay for my own plan?

Not until your own plan has ended. Canceling stops it at the end of the period you've paid for, and you can join the team after that. If you'd rather not wait, ask the owner to invite a different email address.

Do BNBCalc team members share analyses?

No. Each member sees only their own analyses. A team shares the plan's access and its billing, not the work inside each account.
