How do I change my email or login method?

Last reviewed Oct 8, 2026 by Jeremy Werden

Short answer

Your BNBCalc sign-in email and phone number lock in Settings once they're set. To change one, email [email protected] with your current sign-in and the new email or number, and keep signing in the old way until support confirms. If your account has only one of the two, add the other in Settings → Account Info.

Changing your sign-in email

Open Settings → Account Info and you'll see your email address grayed out. Once an account has an email, it's locked there, so the change goes through support:

  1. Email [email protected], ideally from the email address you sign in with now. If you're signed in, you can use Settings → Support instead, which attaches your account details for you.
  2. Include your current email and the new one you'd like to use.
  3. Keep signing in with your current email until support confirms the change.

Once it's changed, your old email no longer signs you in. If you used Continue with Google with the old address, that link is removed too, so sign in with the new email afterward. Receipts and billing emails go to the new address from then on.

If you can't get into your old email or phone

If you've left a job or lost a phone number, you can still ask for the change from any email address. Email [email protected] with:

  • the email or phone number your account uses now;
  • the new email or number you'd like;
  • if you've paid for a plan, the last 4 digits of the card and the date and amount of a recent charge, so support can confirm the account is yours.

Changing your phone number

Phone numbers work the same way: once your account has one, it's locked in Account Info. Email [email protected] or use Settings → Support with your current number and the new one, including the country code. The old number stops working as a sign-in once it's replaced.

Changing the email shown on your reports

The email on your shared and printed reports is a separate setting, and you can change it yourself. Contact email in Account Info starts as your sign-in email, but you can edit it at any time and click Save. It only changes what appears on your contact card in reports (when Show your contact card on reports you share is on), not how you sign in, so don't be thrown when the "Successfully updated info." message appears while your sign-in email stays the same.

Adding a second way to sign in

If your account only has an email address, or only a phone number, you can add the other yourself:

  1. Open Settings → Account Info.
  2. Enter the email address, or the phone number with its + and country code.
  3. Check the spelling carefully, because it locks once saved and becomes a way to sign in.
  4. Click Save. You'll see "Successfully updated info."

From then on, you can sign in with either one, and both reach the same account. If that email or number already has its own BNBCalc account, it can't be added here, so email support to combine the two accounts. Keep in mind that signing in with an email or number your account doesn't have opens a separate account instead.

Can I sign in to BNBCalc with both an email and a phone number?

Yes. If your account only has one of them, add the other in Settings → Account Info and save. It then becomes a second way to sign in to the same account.
