I'm not getting my login code. What should I do?

Short answer
First, check that the email address or phone number on the code screen is right, and look in your spam or promotions folder. Then wait for the 20-second timer and click Resend code. If codes still don't arrive, contact BNBCalc support through the form at bnbcalc.com/support, which works without signing in, or email [email protected].
Work through these in order
Most missing codes turn up after one of these checks, so it's worth going through them before anything else:
- Check where the code went. The code screen reads "We sent a code to" followed by your email address or phone number. If there's a typo, click Use another method to go back, then enter it again. Be careful here: an email or number BNBCalc doesn't recognize quietly creates a new account instead of an error, so if you sign in and see no saved properties, sign out and try again with the email or number you normally use.
- Look in spam, junk and promotions. Login emails sometimes land there, especially on work email accounts with strict filters.
- Wait, then resend. Resend code unlocks after a 20-second countdown. Codes can take a moment to arrive, so give the first one a little time before asking for another.
- Use the newest code. If you asked for more than one, use the code from the most recent email or text. An old code may show "Code expired, please request a new one".
If you see "Too many failed attempts"
That message means the code was entered wrong too many times. Click Resend code and type the new code carefully. You're signed in automatically as soon as you've typed all 6 digits.
If you sign in with a phone number
Check that the country code next to the number is right, because the picker starts on the US. Then make sure your phone isn't blocking texts from unknown senders, since some carriers and spam-blocking apps filter them.
Trying another way in
If your account also has an email address or a phone number on it, you can sign in with that instead. If you once entered an email at checkout while signed in with your phone, for example, that email usually signs you in to the same account. When you're not sure what's on your account, contact support rather than guessing, because an email or number your account doesn't have opens a new, separate account.
Still stuck?
Contact support through the support form, which works without signing in, or email [email protected]. Make sure to include the email address or phone number you're trying to sign in with, so support can find your account. If you've lost access to that email or phone altogether, How do I change my email or login method? explains what to send instead.
Frequently asked questions
Why does BNBCalc say my code expired?
Login codes only work for a limited time. Click Resend code and type the new one. If you asked for more than one code, use the one from the most recent email or text.
Can I sign in to BNBCalc with Google instead of a code?
Yes, if your Google account uses the same email address as your BNBCalc account; Continue with Google then opens that same account. If you signed up with a phone number or a different email, Google creates a new, separate account instead.

How does logging in to BNBCalc work?
You log in to BNBCalc with Google, or by entering your email address or phone number and typing the 6-digit code BNBCalc sends you. There are no passwords. Each email address and phone number is its own sign-in, so using a different one creates a separate account rather than opening your existing one.

How do I change my email or login method?
Your BNBCalc sign-in email and phone number lock in Settings once they're set. To change one, email [email protected] with your current sign-in and the new email or number, and keep signing in the old way until support confirms. If your account has only one of the two, add the other in Settings → Account Info.

I paid, but BNBCalc still asks me to upgrade
Usually you're signed in to a different BNBCalc account from the one that paid, or your plan doesn't include that feature: the Calculator plan doesn't include Markets. Check Settings → Billing for your plan. If it isn't there, sign out and sign back in with the email you entered at checkout, or email [email protected] for help.
