Review of Somewhere.com

Our team at BNBCalc hired a marketing assistant through Somewhere.com to fill a role and was let down badly. The person they placed with us, Phoebe, turned out to be working a second job at the same time she was supposed to be working for us. When confronted, she admitted she hadn't been doing the work she was being paid for — while continuing to collect paychecks.

This is exactly the kind of thing a staffing and vetting service is supposed to catch and prevent. I paid Somewhere.com to source and screen a reliable candidate, and instead I ended up paying for hours that weren't worked and time spent unwinding the whole situation. The lack of accountability once the problem came to light made it worse.

I can't recommend Somewhere.com based on this experience. If you're relying on them to vet people you'll be paying and trusting with real responsibilities, be aware this can happen.

The people I worked with were kind and professional. Out of the 3 candidates I interviewed, 2 were poor and 1 looked decent. Now looking back at her resume, I think a lot of experience she listed was fake or grossly exaggerated. Her deliverables seemed to be AI generated and not human-reviewed.

We had a one-star experience with Somewhere.com. We paid them $10,600 and they refused even a partial refund. I'm someone to only write positive reviews whether it's a restaurant or local business, but I want to help others make the bad decision of hiring Somewhere.com.
