Welcome to the Cambridge Lake House in Wisconsin!

Classic 3-Season Cabin/Cottage with wrap-around screen porch & views of beautiful Lake Ripley. Cottage has limestone fireplace, and knotty pine paneling. Use of shared sand beach (1 mile) and shared fishing/swimming pier, (1/2 a block) away. Lake Ripley is a clear 420 acre lake, with an average depth of 44 feet. Enjoy a cup of morning coffee, or the sunset and a glass of wine on the pier benches, or in the rockers on the screened-in porch. The space Guests will love the classic lodge feel of this place, with mid-century furnishings, 2 story limestone fireplace, wagon wheel light fixture and knotty pine walls. Favorite spot for all is spacious wrap around screen porch, with views of Lake Ripley. Seasonally, the porch has a full-sized futon and roll-down canvas awnings for shade and privacy. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has twins. There are two window AC units, three ceiling fans and 2 other fans for your comfort. For Spring and Fall, there is an upright heater, portable oil-filled space heater, and fireplace. Spring & Fall nights can be chilly, so dress accordingly. Both bedrooms have handmade quilts, reading lamps and local artwork. Bath has large, tiled in shower, and new dual flush toilet. Kitchen has a full sized fridge, four burner stove, microwave, toaster and blender. There is a gas grill next to the porch. We are close to bike and hiking trails, paddling opportunities, wineries, brew pubs and restaurants. UW Madison and all the capitol city has to offer within a 30 minute drive. Jefferson County has quaint downtowns and quirky, fun eating, drinking and entertainment establishments. Guest access Entire 2-bedroom cottage; Great room, screen porch, yard with fire pit, Adirondack chairs, gas grill, full kitchen. The unique setting is a fun combination of tranquility and activity felt with an in-town location. The pottery/arts community of Cambridge includes a public beach park, restaurants, shops and the CamRock trails for hiking/biking. Spring-fed Lake Ripley has a no-wake rule before 11am and after 7:30pm, allowing for kayaking, fishing and sailing on quiet waters during those times. The space The home is located on Lake Ripley, where summertime is busy with boating activity on the water. While off-season is quieter, there are plenty of people still living and working in the area. Guest access Experience lakefront living in a one bedroom unit with your own private entrance, allowing for complete privacy. You will also have access to this beautiful yard, 86 feet of shoreline and dock located on Lake Ripley. Other things to note Enjoy restful nights relaxing in the spacious living room and sleeping in a king size bed. A microwave, small refrigerator, coffee machine, and toaster oven are provided in the kitchenette. TV and Wi-Fi, of course. Beach towels, hairdryer, and basic toiletries are provided.

You’ll be driving past YurtCation (about 300 feet past YurtCation) to get to YurtSimple. YurtCation is 20’ in diameter and YurtSimple is 16’ in diameter. Wood and charcoal are provided. You may cook on the indoor wood stove top, or visit any number of great restaurants 2 miles away. You can even order pizza delivery The space A yurt on a semi-private lake. Off the grid. Think luxe camping. Yes, it’s furnished with a comfy bed and super cozy wood burning stove. You can hike on the property and even see Icelandic horses. Or you can bike/hike at Camrock. Canoe provided. BBQ provided. Guest access Porto potty. Lake. Hiking trails. Other things to note YurtSimple launched 10/10/21. This new site is in addition to YurtCation which has been up and running since 10/10/18. YurtSimple is about 300ft up the same driveway from YurtCation. There are a total of two yurts and two homes that have access to the same 17 acre lake. Each yurt is off the grid and has their own queen-sized comfy bed, wood stove, Weber grill w/charcoal, fire pit, firewood, fresh water, canoe, and clean Porto Potty. Pets love it. Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun. The four bedrooms will comfortably sleep up to eleven people with everyone getting their own twin bed; the home can accommodate up to twelve guests with use of a bunk bed. Have fun on nearly 700 square feet of gaming, quilting, crafting, scraping creation space with 11 individual tables. The creative space is set up in its own wing so you can have fun without disturbing those who go to bed early or sleep late. Trails/bike/walk Other things to note Cam rock county Park is located in the eastern Dane County along the banks of the Koshkonong Creek, between the Village of Cambridge and the historic Village of Rockdale. This 575-acre park boasts three shelters, play equipment, hiking trails, a canoe/kayak launch, mountain bike trails, cross-country ski trails, and a prairie restoration. For fun in the winter, visit the sledding hill (near Shelter #3). For summertime fun, visit the natural playground (near Shelter #2). This playground was designed by GRG Playscapes and features natural wood elements that inspire imagination and play for all ages and ability levels. Whatever you’re looking for, you can find it all in this beautiful and tranquil getaway. Vacationers can enjoy skiing, biking and exploring the gorgeous CamRock trail system. Lake Ripley, the sparkling gem of Cambridge, is loaded with fish for summer fun or ice-fishing. Shop our adorable downtown, with a thriving art scene. Our quaint little town is a slice of heaven in a busy world. The space With plenty of bedrooms, and two living areas, everyone can be comfortable together or enjoying different activities. There are two bedrooms downstairs with a family room and three bedrooms upstairs with an open floor plan Kitchen, Dining and Sitting Room adjacent to the deck. Guest access Guests have private access to all areas of the home, patio and yard. The garage is a storage area for the owners. Nightly base rate is for single occupancy. Fees apply for additional guests. There are two access points to Lake Ripley. The closer one is the private beach, ShorePlace. It is about a 1000 ft walk from the house, past the ShorePlace playground. It has a swimming area and some chairs. The second option is Lake Ripley Park. It is a public beach about 1 mile away; the cost is $5 per adult, $2 per child. The park has shelters, bathrooms, and playground equipment. There is a public boat launch on Island Lane, info available at lakeripley dot org. There is no guest access to a private pier. Other things to note Nightly base rate is for single occupancy. Fees apply for each additional guest for the duration of the stay. Guest Fees double if added after the start of the reservation. A $500 Event Fee per day will be charged for any unauthorized daytime visitors. We are always looking for ways to improve the house. Please don't hesitate to make suggestions.

Lake Ripley Getaway

YurtCation is an off-grid getaway with lake frontage and nature trails. There is another yurt about 300ft up the same driveway. There are a total of two yurts and two homes that have access to the same 17 acre lake. Each yurt has their own queen-sized comfy bed, wood stove, Weber grill w/charcoal, fire pit, firewood, fresh water, canoe, and clean Porto Potty. The yurts are about 80 feet from the lake’s ordinary high water mark to comply with zoning. We are fully permitted and have many repeats. The space It’s a Yurt. On a deck. 80 feet from a lake with access including SUPs, kayaks, and a canoe. Surrounded by woods with farmland nearby. Guest access Canoe, SUP, hiking trail, Camrock Park Trails. Other things to note June, July, and August are prime Lilly Pad months. There will be some open water but not a lot during this time of year depending on rainfall. Most people over-pack. We provide firewood, charcoal, fresh water, pots and pans, and drinkable water. There’s a Jackery battery pack that’ll run the lights and a fan plus recharge your cell phone. Cell reception is excellent although you might choose to unplug. Depending on the season the frogs and cranes could be noisy. There are active farms in the area and you may hear gunfire from hunters. There’s no hunting on the 43 acres that includes the yurt. You might see the neighbors, your yurt hosts, and/or the Yurters at YurtSimple out enjoying the lake. Let us know if you would like a horse visit and we’ll ride on over with a member or two from the herd. YurtCation has moved about 50 feet from its original location in order to comply with Shoreland Zoning Rules. The good news is that our yurts are now fully permitted.

Unwind from a long day in your stylish, queen-sized private bedroom with huge walk-in closet, large private bath and private sitting area—all on the second floor! Five-year old home is located in quaint Cambridge, WI— centrally located to more than 10 Madison area hospitals. Perfect for the traveling nurse professional! No guest pets or male renters! The space My home is a duplex built in 2020 and has approximately 2200 sq feet with 4 bedrooms, kitchen, dining area, living room, 3.5 baths, laundry room, full finished basement and a two-car garage. You will be able to park in the driveway or in the garage, depending on the size of your vehicle. Guest access All common areas are shared, including the quartz countertop kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry room, finished basement with exercise equipment and 2.5 baths. During your stay I live on the premises and stay on the first floor, so I am very available for a chat. You will have most of the second floor to yourself. I occasionally use the office on the second floor and am open to sharing it with you if you would like access to the desk, printer and double monitors. I work full time during the day from home three days/week. Other things to note My block is very quiet and has friendly neighbors who chat when they see each outside, often willing to help each other for small things. I love animals and have a Goldendoodle and two rescue cats! They are very friendly and will not be in your personal areas (your upstairs BR, bath and TV room-sitting area), unless you invite them!
