It is facing outside of the front door+parking area. It records continuously 24/7 of all movement for security purposes. There is no cameras in private areas or inside bedrooms. Laundry- Full sized HE washer, dryer, and laundry sink. Yard- Relax in the large outdoor space! Propane grill Parking- Paved flat parking for 4 vehicles only. Unfortunately wildlife have prevented us from being allowed this service. Trash just be takes to Clean Bear Sites. It’s an easy drive up and drop area. If traveling in summer. Like most homes in Big Bear there is no AC. Fans are provided. If traveling in winter, we highly suggest purchasing trip insurance! We have a strict cancellation policy and will stand by it. Winter months can be challenging with snow, ice, road closures, and other things. Cover yourself by purchasing the trip insurance. We hope we answered all your questions. No parking in street or yard Parking is only permitted in the driveway, designated parking spaces, and garage. This includes trailers. The maximum number of vehicles permitted is on the exterior sign. No amplified music 24/7 Amplified music is not permitted to be heard beyond the property line 24/7. Close your windows to avoid music carrying beyond the property line. Head inside at 10:00 p.m. Noisy outdoor activities and spa use are prohibited from 10:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. (There is no spa) Take your furry friend with you. Take your dog with you so they do not disturb surrounding neighbors. You will find that Big Bear Lake is very dog-friendly! Take trash to dumpster locations Trash needs to be taken to a local dumpsite. For those guests who have come to party and disrupt the peace and tranquility of the neighborhoods, there are costly and severe consequences. Stone Arch Cabin is a cozy two-story mountain home located on a peninsula in Big Bear Lake. The home includes a game room with pool table, a hot-tub, and a cozy fireplace. It is furnished and decorated in a contemporary lodge motif and set back on a large, treed lot close to the lake and town area. A 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive to dining and shopping in the village, and a five minute walk to the lakeshore. Plenty of parking and space for family gatherings! Animals- We only allow a maximum of two trained dogs with non refundable pet fee. No other types of animals are allowed no exceptions. If bringing a service animal please provide the appropriate information and let us know they will be joining upon booking. Pet fee does not cover damage or extra cleaning required due to negligence. Cleaning Fee- nonnegotiable. This covers clean linens, cleaning of bathrooms, kitchen, floors, basic balancing of spa chemicals, and basic care of the home. This does not cover left trash, excessive messes, cleaning dirty dishes. The home has deeper clean items that happen 2-3x a year. Early check in- No guarantees will be made. We send the code when the home is ready or at 4pm, whichever comes first. Do not show up to the home until given the code. This rushes the cleaners and tends to ensure something is missed. Late check out- No guarantees. This is based entirely on the cleaning team’s route. It is only granted night before checking out. If you’d like to guarantee checking out later, book another night. This allows you to stay a whole night or leave at any point during your reservation time. Please note, we do charge if you delay the cleaning teams by not vacating the entire property, not just the home. The cleaners will not knock to let you know they are there. Please be respectful of their time and any guest checking into the home after you. Snow Removal- We have a snowplow on call during winter. Please be patient as they are on their own route. Our plows come out after a storm when 4+ inches fall. We do our best to shovel the entry to the home. Decks are not guaranteed to be shoveled. Shovel and a small bucket of salt is provided in the home for your convenience. The home does have 2 cameras on at all times. They are checked periodically to ensure occupancy and car limits are adhered to. The cameras view all access points of the property. No refund will be made for cancellation due to weather, road conditions, acts of nature, mechanical failures, electrical failures or malfunctions with spas, TVs or other equipment, or for sighting of insects, rodents, or other animals. Kitchen has large oven two sinks. Seating for 12 at dining room. Due to low lake level, water is 200 yds away. Lakefront only at full capacity. Max 10 adults/12 total including children. Abuts park with zipline and baseball fields and dog area right in back to the left. Lake is to the right. The space Fishing Bear Cabin is located on Eagle Point near Meadow Park. It has a comfortable, open atmosphere with real log construction, with windows looking out onto the lake and terrific kids play area in the back. Our kids have grown up visiting the cabin, so we have outfitted it for kids of all ages. There is a wooden fort with a corkscrew and bumpy slide, climbing wall and swings. It is surrounded by rubber playground mulch. There is a playroom upstairs with Thomas train sets, coloring and other toys. We have a pinball machine, ping pong, and a cabinet full of games. Note that the pinball machine needs frequent repairs so it may not be functional during your visit. There is a large deck for observing the lake and birds of prey that fly nearby. The house is usually peaceful and quiet, except for sounds from the park and baseball field about 200 yards from the back fence. The cabin is solar powered. There is a 7 person, 110 jet spa on the deck. We have a two gas grills and one pellet smoker. Gas is provided. Bring your own pellets. There is ample seating on the front porch and walkway and back decks. The grounds have fresh berry bushes and fruit trees to pick from during summer. Big Bear and our home in particular are intended for family visits as opposed to parties. Parties are not permitted. Amplified music is not permitted anywhere outside. If the hot tub is working, it can only be used from 10am until 10pm. We cannot promise it will be working as it can sometimes take a few days to get parts if a heater or pump goes out. Guests who violate these restrictions will be evicted for a first offense. We hope for snow during winter. Refunds will not be granted based on road conditions. Guest access Luis or Cecelia will meet guests when they arrive, or guests may complete a virtual check in with Paul the owner. Please let us know your intended arrival time and confirm while on the way. Other things to note Please respect the neighbors by not playing music outside. City ordinances prohibit amplified sound outside. Please play devices only inside. Please return toys and games to their original location. There is a very small room near the front of the house that we keep locked. It has our private items. Please also stay out of the two rooms and cupboards in the garage, and the small storage area under the stairs, where we also have private things and supplies. We keep ping pong balls and paddles in the garage. Big Bear has a great zoo to visit. Power often goes out in the mountains. Usually it gets restored fairly quickly, but this is part of mountain life and unfortunately, we will not grant refunds for power loss outside of our control. The city restricts our cabin to 10 adults and no more than 12 guests in total. Guests must agree to inspect the cabin upon arrival and advise if there are conditions such as cleanliness or damaged items requiring attention. The cabin gets heavy use, so items need frequent repair and replacement. If you find something is not right, please give us the chance to make it right. Luis and Cecila work hard and complete a checklist at each cleaning, but sometimes things get missed and if this happens our guests must advise us during their stay so we can have a chance to get them corrected. Access to the home is moderately steep so a snow-capable vehicle is strictly recommended to get to the house during those times. A 4x4 vehicle with high clearance and snow tires and possibly chains is ideal for snowy and icy conditions. All-wheel drive vehicles are ok if the snow is not deep. Cal Trans requires the use of chains on vehicles during storms so be prepared and consider the conditions and your risk level or contact to host to move or cancel your booking. WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS - The mountain areas receive severe winter weather especially in between the months of October- April. This may make driving conditions difficult and dangerous and access to our house an issue for those not prepared. The highway and side streets are plowed upon county availability so be prepared to have travel restrictions. Access to the home is moderately steep so a snow-capable vehicle is strictly recommended to get to the house during those times. A 4x4 vehicle with high clearance and snow tires and possibly chains is ideal for snowy and icy conditions. All-wheel drive vehicles are ok if the snow is not deep. Cal Trans requires the use of chains on vehicles during storms so be prepared and consider the conditions and your risk level or contact to host to move or cancel your booking. Other things to note You will be asked to sign a Big Bear Good Neighbor Policy prior to your stay. There is NO AC for this cabin. Refunds will not be given for no AC. No amplified sound is permitted outside at any time. Indoor sound cannot be loud enough to be audible at the property line. Use of outdoor activities is prohibited from 10 pm - 7 am. This home accepts an occupancy of 12 but only 10 adults. Please note, all persons (including infants, children and visitors) at the home are counted towards the total occupancy of the home. Guests cannot exceed the permitted occupancy at any time. Winter weather warning- From November through March, all vehicles are required to carry chains in their vehicle. (May be okay with 4 wheel drive depending on weather) Property Appearance: Vacation rentals in Big Bear are for the most part, second homes for the owners. Therefore, some furniture or decor may differ from what is pictured because the owners needed or wanted to replace something. Professional photos are expensive and we can not re-photograph the rental every time something is changed but we do maintain the listing content with any notable furnishing changes especially related to sleeping arrangements. (Over 1/3 of an acre) Plenty of usable flat areas both in front and back of the home for exploring and outside play. The front concrete area is an entertainer’s delight, faces mountains and ski resorts so guests can enjoy amazing views and star-filled nights. Stargaze from our brand new 7 seat Jacuzzi hot tub. Natural gas concrete fire pit with wrap-around seating. S'mores anyone? Outside sectional sofa lounge area for relaxing in the fresh mountain air. Outside dining table (seats 12). Gas / propane, charcoal, and wood pellet barbecues are permissible with proper briquette disposal. DO NOT EXCEED THE STATED OCCUPANCY: Do not exceed the stated occupancy at any time during your stay, including temporary visitors. NO PARTIES ALLOWED. DO NOT EXCEED THE VEHICLE LIMIT: The maximum number of vehicles permitted to be at the property at any time, including temporary visitors, is on the exterior sign. NO PARKING IN STREET OR YARD: Parking is only permitted in the driveway, designated parking spaces, and garage. This includes trailers and recreational vehicles. NO MUSIC OR OTHER SOUND AMPLIFICATION 24/7: Amplified sound and music is not permitted to be heard beyond the property line 24/7. Sound amplification is permitted indoors, as long as the sound cannot be heard from neighboring properties. Close your windows and doors to avoid noise carrying beyond the property line. QUIET HOURS BETWEEN 10 PM TO 7 AM: Noisy indoor and outdoor activity, including use of the spa / pool, is strictly prohibited after 10 PM and before 7 AM. Remember to close your windows and doors to avoid noise carrying beyond the property line. RESPECTFUL PET MANAGEMENT: Be courteous to the neighbors. If your dog is prone to excessive barking, take them with you when you leave your rental. When in public, please make sure your dog is leashed and under control at all times. You will find that Big Bear Lake is very dog friendly! TAKE TRASH TO CLEAN BEAR SITES: All trash need to be taken to one of the city’s local trash sites (visitors will be asked to show proof eligibility, such as a rental contract), or trash must be placed in a Big Bear Disposal issued trash receptacle located on the property. Do not store trash outside. Clean bear site trash locations are 41970 Garstin Drive and 39690 Big Bear Boulevard. CONSEQUENCES: Unfortunately, a few of our guests refuse to extend common courtesy and neighborly behavior toward the guests and residents around them. For those guests who have come to party and disrupt the peace and tranquility of the neighborhoods, there are costly and severe consequences.
