The space This home was built in 1971. It sits over a spring fed stream that runs through the property year round. This property offers total privacy from neighbors and noise, aside from the sound of flowing water which can be heard throughout the house. This home is a few miles from downtown, even though the surroundings make it feel like a million miles from nowhere. Pick up the Leelanau bike trail and ride into town, while wineries, hiking trails, and beaches are all within easy reach. The Leelanau Bike Trail runs near by the house. Simply turn right out the driveway, cross Bugai road and continue down about 1/3 mile or so and the bike trail crosses Cherry Bend Road. Turn left to travel up and explore beautiful Leelanau County, turn right to pedal into Traverse City. Guest access This is our home, and we welcome you to it! We do keep our personal belongings on site. We have one room reserved for our belongings and the rest of the home is yours to enjoy. The basement and garage doors are also locked. Our 3 bd/2 full bath home sits in a quiet neighborhood at the base of Leelanau County. We are minutes away from Traverse City, wineries, breweries, multiple beaches- including the Sand Dunes, Leland Fishtown, Empire, Suttons Bay, and many hiking and biking trails. After enjoying the sights of Northern Michigan come back to retreat and recharge in the privacy of your own home. Have a drink by the bonfire in the backyard, grill some food, stay up late and stargaze. Make Memories Here. The space This house was tastefully updated to capture the beach cottage feel of the area. It has 2 living areas, each with a smart TV. Between the living rooms in the L-shaped open floor plan is the kitchen and the dining room table that seats 8. All 3 bedrooms have queen beds and a closet. The primary bedroom has an attached bathroom with a tub and his and her sinks. A washer and dryer are available for guest use. Beach chairs and towels are available for guest use. We try to provide as much as we can to make it a relaxing experience for you. We hope you enjoy your stay! Guest access This full home has private free parking, free laundry, pin pad key access, back deck with table and chairs, fire pit and grill. Other things to note We allow the guest to control the temperature of the home. Please do not leave the windows and doors open if the AC is on. Our neighborhood is very walkable on the street: There is a large walking loop, figure 8 loop, and steep uphill loop. Please drive slowly and watch for children. Decor is subject to change. The Backyard has 50 foot hardwood trees that sway and promotes relaxing, large bonfire pit is available, wood, fire starter & matches are provided in a red canister on back deck. There is no fencing in the backyard dogs are free to roam in a safe setting, poop bags provide and a small trash for the waste is provide on the back deck. Come along on our daily tours, where you may gather fresh eggs for your breakfast and help feed the hens. Then visit the pigs, calves and sheep by walking with us over the creek bridges and up into the green pastures. At BuckWild Farm, we are pleased to offer you some of life’s simplest and sweetest pleasures. The space The space available to you is the entire lower level of our home (The kitchen is shared for seasonal canning from the garden.). The private entrance is a yellow door at the rear, and overlooks our own valley to the south. You can enjoy your morning coffee on the patio chairs and take in the view. Your simple rooms are cozy but not fancy. We welcome children and have playthings, games and books for them to enjoy. We also have a collection of fun board games for all ages. But outdoor fun is our specialty! There are wooded trails that wind through our 19 acres; 3 bridges over the creek; deer, water bugs, frogs, wildflowers, and swing set, plus a giant tree swing, and a zip-line for Littles. (Parents must accompany children please.) Lovely Lake Leelanau is nearby and visible from our road should you take a walk, however the public access is about 3.5 miles away by foot, bike or car. The TART trail (Traverse Area Recreational Trail) crosses our road 1/8 mile away. Our “flerd” is a mix between a flock and herd, including 2 young steers 6 sheep -newborn lambs in April 2026 Piglets in May 19 hens and Spring chicks Friendly farm dog Wild Apple orchard, large vegetable and berry garden and fenced pasture. From March to October, you and your family can participate in egg-gathering, and feeding and caring for the animals and land. Therefore, anyone who is under the age of 13 must wear a lifejacket when in the water, anyone using any of the provided watercraft (row boat, kayaks) must wear a lifejacket, and all youths under the age of 13 must be with a supervising adult when near the water. Fire safety is equally important. Therefore, please make sure to keep children away when having a campfire, keep flames lower than 3 feet, and be sure to fully douse the flames when you're finished with your fire by dumping a full gallon of water on the fire/coals until they are completely dark.

2 bedroom 1 bath in Leelanau county. 8 miles to downtown Traverse City, and 15 miles to sleeping bear dunes, Empire, and Leland(fishtown). The rental has air conditioning in the living room and bedrooms. The essentials are fully stocked so no need to run to the store because you forgot something: Laundry detergent, dryer sheets, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, coffee,spices, oil for cooking. The space One bedroom has a closet and shelving for storage and a queen size bed. The other bedroom has a closet for storage, a life fitness treadmill, and a queen size bed. The living room couch is extra wide and bedding will be available for people.. Kitchen comes fully furnished with everything needed for cooking. The living room has a 65 inch television hooked up to a bluetooth capable sound bar and WiFi covers the whole house. Wifi is fast being fiber optics. But there seems to be 1 to 2 outages a month due to fiber being new to the area. There is a propane grill on the deck. Guest access Guests have access to the entire main floor of the house-Kitchen, living room, dining area, bathroom, 2 bedrooms, and laundry room. Basement, attached garage, detached garage, and pole barn will be locked due to personal property being stored there. There is a gas grill, and fire pit that can be used. The back of the property will have a pole barn and personal belongings such as boats, trailers, etc. stored outside so please stay away from that area. Other things to note 1. There is a propane grill on the deck for you to use. If you use the propane grill. Please don't move it next to the house as the heat will ruin the paint. 2. Wifi login and password is on the router that is on the desk in living room. 3. Living room remotes are labeled on back cover for TV, sound bar, DVD player. 4. This rental is fully stocked with all the essentials. So you won't have to run to the store once you get here because you forgot toilet paper or dish soap or whatever else. Items fully stocked are: Laundry detergent, dryer sheets, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and spices and oil for cooking. 5. There is a fire pit in the yard for you to use. You will likely need to bring your own wood. If there is wood by the pit, feel free to use it. There are self serve firewood stands all around the area. 6. If you check in on Friday you'll have to bring the trash cans up to the house from the road as trash gets picked up Friday morning. If you are staying here Thursday night I ask that you take the trash cans to the road. I'll send a reminder message Thursday afternoon.

See guest interaction for details of shared access. Home has air conditioning in the living room and bedrooms. The space One bedroom has a closet and shelving for storage and a queen size bed. The other bedroom has a closet for storage, a life fitness treadmill, and queen size bed. The living room couch is extra wide and bedding will be available. Kitchen comes fully furnished with everything needed for cooking. The living room has a 65 inch television with a bluetooth capable sound bar and WiFi covers the whole house. Internet is fast being fiber optic. But there seems to be an outage 1 or 2 times a month due to the fiber optics being new to the area. There is a propane grill on the deck and a fire pit at the end of the driveway. Guest access Guests have the entire main living quarters of the house to themselves-Both bedrooms, bathroom, living room, dining area, kitchen, and laundry room. The Basement, attached garage, detached garage, and pole barn will be locked. I stay in the camper next to the attached garage. I will likely be working on something inside the detached garage or right outside the detached garage. I may get something from the basement or attached garage during daylight hours. I access the basement or garage from the entry way/laundry room that has a door separating it from the main living quarters of the house. There is a gas grill, and fire pit that can be used. One end of the property will have a pole barn and personal belongings such as boats, trailers, etc. so please stay away from that area. Other things to note 1. There is a propane grill on the deck for you to use. If you use the propane gril. Please don't move them next to the house as the heat will ruin the paint. 2. Wifi login and password is on the router that is on the desk in living room. wifi is fast being fiber optic. However, there seems to be 1 or 2 outages a month due to the fiber optics being new to the area. 3. Living room remotes are labeled on back cover for TV, sound bar, DVD player. 4. This rental is fully stocked with all the essentials. So you won't have to run to the store once you get here because you forgot toilet paper or dish soap, etc. Items fully stocked are: Laundry detergent, dryer sheets, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and spices and oil for cooking. 5. There is a fire pit in the yard for you to use. You will likely need to bring your own wood. If there is wood by the pit, feel free to use it. There are self serve firewood stands all around the area. Please don't start a fire if it is windy out. 6. If you check in on Friday you'll have to bring the trash cans up to the house from the road as trash gets picked up Friday morning. If you are staying here Thursday night I ask that you take the trash cans to the road. I'll send a reminder message Thursday afternoon.

Other things to note Please Note: All guests staying at this property must be 25 or older unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. This will be verified after booking confirmation. A damage waiver fee is required by Golden Swan for each stay. For this property, the fee is $129 and provides our guests with accidental damage coverage up to $2000. If the amount of damage exceeds this, or if the damage is found to have occurred with malicious intent, Golden Swan retains the right to seek damages beyond that amount. High chair and pack n play available upon request for an additional fee. There is a non-refundable credit card processing fee applied to all reservations.
