Little three bedroom two bath house .5 miles from downtown Pine Mountain. We are working on fixing up the house as we can. It is a work in progress. It is an old house.Please only book if you are easy going as this is not the Hilton. The road is a bumpy gravel road to get to the house. The neighborhood is friendly and safe but not a fancy neighborhood so if you are uncomfortable in not wealthy neighborhoods you may choose to stay somewhere where you'll be more comfortable. The space There is a neighbor on each side. There is a washer and dryer. There is a 4 burner stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, hot water boiler, toaster, and small instant pot. The coffee maker has a reusable filter. Any paper or plastic items (other than toilet paper and paper towels, of course) you should bring if you prefer them. We do have reusable plates, cutlery, spatulas, etc. Trash pick up is Thursday. We are in the country and clean for bugs, etc, before guests, but it's an old house, and there may be the occasional insect. Guest access Little back yard, full kitchen, living room, three bedrooms, two baths, wifi, tv, etc. Other things to note Please enter the correct number of guests when booking your reservation and disclose any pets. we are pet friendly with a $50 pet fee or a $200 refundable pet deposit.

Farm Charm is a great way to describe this house and the surrounding area. Its a country setting with plenty outside room for children to run and play. The porch is a great asset with, rocking chairs, picnic table, barbecue pit for grilling. Inside is decorated with a morden flair. All beds have new comfortable mattresses in a very spacious size room. The fully stocked kitchen is perfect for cooking for your family. However, many guest dine out and visit Calloway Gardens. The space We provide the following items for recreation: Board games for family time. If you love to walk or do yoga outside you have many options because there is plenty of space to move as you desire. A list of items for the kitchen can be found in the caption under the picture of the Kitchen. We provide an adequate supply of paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags and cleaning supplies . Finally, as a bonus we have a kids room with a supply of toys to keep them entertained. There are full time residents living nearby and do not wish to be disturbed. Recommendations for activities and food are in the Welcome Book on the coffee table. The space This cabin is on 1.1 acres and borders FDR State Park to the West. Custom built in 2008 the accommodations are lovely and well appointed. There is a king bed and spa tub, a queen bed in the guest bedroom, and a full and two twin beds in the loft. There's a wood burning fireplace with large two-story windows on either side for views of the lake and pines beyond. Outdoors you'll find a private dock, swing, firepit, and electric grill on the deck. Guest access You, and no more than six pre-approved guests, have complete access to the entire home, yard and lake for fishing or just relaxing (no swimming is allowed). Other things to note There are to be no more than 7 'pre-approved' guests on the property at any time for any reason. If you are traveling to Callaway Gardens, attending a graduation at Fort Benning, visiting FDR state park, or the Little Whitehouse, we hope you'll consider Toad Hill as the place to stay. "Toad Hill" is our vacation house. It is a two story, craftsman style custom built house. It was built for family gatherings, It is furnished with comfy furniture and nice linens. The space The home is approximately 20 years old, It has a front porch and front deck. The porch and deck have furniture and the deck has a small fire pit. The living room has two sofas, chairs, fire place and tv. The kitchen was built to accommodate multiple cooks with two stoves and two sinks. There are plenty of dishes. There are three master suites with king sized beds, and one bedroom with a queen sized bed and twin-sized sleeper/sofa. One bathroom has a shower/bathtub, one has a walk in shower and one has a large tub. There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer We hope that you will enjoy some of your time lounging on the sofas, watching Direct TV or enjoying the many DVD's that we have. We are happy to say that we have had fiber optic cable installed so that you can stream your favorite tv program. You may want to just sit and watch the fire in the fire place. It's a warm friendly inviting space. Fishing is good in the pond if that is your interest. You can play bad mitten in the back yard. The house is situated in fifty acres of natural woods. The house is approximately forty five minutes from Ft. Moore, thirty five minutes from, Columbus and twenty minutes from Callaway Gardens. Guest access You are encouraged to go anywhere on the property you choose except for the owner reserved space. This is a room upstairs that is locked and is just over the kitchen. As you explore the property please remember that you are walking in unrefined woods. There may be holes to step in, old barbed wire fence in the ground. Be careful. Other things to note There is a tankless hot water heater that assures a continuation of hot water but there is a considerable delay upstairs for the hot water to reach the taps. There are no closets. There is internet and cell service. We are happy to say that we have finally gotten wifi that is capable of streaming your favorite program. We are delighted to join this century.

The historic Hardaway Cottage is a very special place. It was built in 1933 on the grounds of the Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute for Rehabilitation within walking distance of Roosevelt's Little White House. This park like property is bordered in the back by the FDR state park. You are two minutes from downtown Warm Springs, but given total privacy on this unique property that is ADA compliant on the first floor of the home. The space This Georgian style house built at the height of the art deco movement include a unique sun porch, large deck out front and traditional fire pit. It would be perfect for a small wedding, family reunions, wedding showers, or a family vacation. Guest access Guests can take a free tour of the historic Roosevelt institute that played a key role in the treatment and cure of Polio. The grounds are a beautiful place to walk or hike. There is a large area on the property for grilling and picnicking. You are five minutes from a trail head of the FDR state park (wolf den falls) that is considered one of the most beautiful hikes in Georgia. (Park headquarters are 25-minute drive.) Downtown Warm Springs has lovely shops, restaurants and an ice cream parlor. Other things to note There are three buildings on the property; the main house, the office/garage, and the historic servants quarters cottage. The servant's quarters cottage is rented to a local police officer. He acts as our security, and makes sure our property is safe and secure. Parties and events need to be approved in advance and may incur extra fees.

I built this cabin in 1989, this property has a lot of history, it was part of the land that my father in law acquired from the Roosevelt program, I believe that was in 1932, he was one of the few original settlers. we have 25 acres we are in process of making walking trail that will wind back and forth through the entire property. will be a good chance of seeing all kind of wildlife including deer turkey, squirrels and all kind of birds. UPDATE. JUST TO LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT BECAUSE OF THE CORONAVIRUS WE AT THE ROOSEVELT ARE MAKING EXTRA EFFORTS BEYOND OUR REGULAR ROUTINE OF THOROUGH CLEANING AND SANITIZING. AFTER CABIN HAS BEEN CLEANED WE GO BACK AN RE SANITIZE BY SPRAYING WITH GERM KILLER. ALSO I AM FORTUNATE IN HAVING MY OWN CLEANING LADY THAT ONLY CLEANS MY HOUSE SO GERMS ARE ARE NOT SPREAD FROM OTHER SOURCES. I WANT A CABIN CLEAN ENOUGH THAT I WOULD NOT BE AFRAID TO STAY IN IT MYSELF.
