Feel free to fill the fridge with goodies from Oleson’s grocery store, stop for those quick last-minute items at Bridge Street convenient store, take in a movie at Charlevoix Cinema or enjoy a delicious meal at either Terry’s and Villager Pub all within a 3-minute walk away. Take a 4-minute stroll and enjoy a cool ice cream treat from the Dairy Grill, a nice, upscale meal at Grey Gables, boating at the Marina or head to the center of town and East Park where all the summer concerts, festivals and fairs are held. Located on a large, quite lot under mature trees with a small patio for grilling and a fire pit to cozy up to at the end of the day. There is an attached two car garage converted into a game room. One queen bedroom downstairs. The upstairs primary bedroom is large and full of light with a king size bed and a toddler size day bed. There is a TV as well as a walk in closet. The additional upstairs bedroom has a full size bed. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and windows that open to let in the cool summer breeze. There are two full sized bathrooms, one upstairs with a tub/shower and one down with a full size walk-in shower. Towels, Shampoo and Conditioner, and hairdryers are provided. The cottage kitchen is well stocked with a 12 cup drip coffee maker and tea kettle. We do not have a dishwasher but do provide paper products if you choose to keep things simple. Of course there are cleaning supplies and drying racks for doing dishes at the house, we hope you will enjoy the simple task and gratification of washing dishes. Plenty of room inside for gathering, games, and meal time. The open floor plan on the main level offers a comfy seating area, new smart TV (Netflix provided) small cafe table, and dining space near the kitchen for everyone to enjoy. The garage has been converted into a hang pad with ping pong table and TV. There is a beach wagon and beach towels. Outside there is a small patio and grill as well as a private fire pit. Welcome to the Blue Door House! In this centrally located, stylish house in Charlevoix, you’ll be able to unwind from work and school stress. The Blue Door House is only a 5 minute walk from downtown Charlevoix (3 minutes if you speed walk) and 10 minutes from Lake Michigan (where you can witness the most beautiful sunsets). The neighborhood is absolutely peaceful and safe. There’s a large backyard that’s perfect for late night campfires and lawn games. The space The blue door house was established on Air B&B in 2021. My husband and I saw this house last year and fell in love with it and bought it with plans to renovate it. When chatting with our neighbor soon after we found out that it was built in the 1890s. I had this idea to add accents of that era to the house while making it functional and comfortable for our guests hence the tiled flooring in the bathrooms and the kitchen While many updates to the house were completed, the Overall structure of the house has not been changed hence including steps which are narrow and steep and slanted roof line. Please be careful climbing up/down those stairs and hang on to the railing. This house is a work in progress, and we are constantly improving the facilities like addition of fireplace(electric) and new furniture like custom dining chairs and decorations. Off the beaten path but in the middle of everything. This Escape townhouse property features 3 bedrooms, and 2 full baths. A short 15 minute walk to downtown Charlevoix or Lake Michigan Beach for some fun in the sun. The main floor has a full kitchen, living/dining room, one bedroom with a queen bed, the second bedroom has two twin beds, a full bathroom and main floor laundry. The lower level is described in the next section. The space The upper level is described in the previous section. The lower level - finished basement has a conforming bedroom with two twin beds a large egress window, a 2nd full bath and a family room with a wrap around couch, a futon, a card table setting (work space) , a 2nd TV and an air hockey table. We have a great shared backyard for relaxing after a long day of enjoying Charlevoix. It features a fire pit, a swing, picnic table and a gas grill. This home has a fully equipped kitchen, cookware, linens and towels, 2 TV’s, high speed WiFi internet, and the Air Hockey Table. The floor plan is very spacious for you to enjoy your Charlevoix Escape. Guest access The rental unit is one side of a side by side townhouse duplex. The sound insulation is very good between the two units. The lot is about 1/2 acre. You’ll be able to park 2 cars side by side or 4 stacked in your driveway. Additional temporary parking in the public street. The backyard is very quiet and is shared with occupants of the other unit. The backyard has (also shared) a gas grill, a picnic table and a fire pit with chairs and a wooden swing. Other things to note Tents, RVs and campers are not allowed on the property. Built on a knoll that inspired its design sits a house of stone overlooking Lake Michigan, its architect Earl Young called it home for over 30 years. Young designed and built this mushroom house and he chose the best spot in Charlevoix to do so! You will feel like you’re at a private retreat on your back deck up two stories high. See the sky changing colors from the front window and hear the lake rolling too, 2 gas fireplaces, tile work and Young’s original dining table! New AC in July 2026! The space The reviews speak for themselves! The most beautifully finished mushroom house. Original unaltered design. Guests describe it as a living work of art. Across the street from Lake Michigan Beach with the famous red lighthouse where you can walk everywhere!!! Boutiques, restaurants and bars are all only a couple block walk. Parks are close by at the beach and library. As our guests have said: "completely ideal setting". The house is a work of art, a gallery that sits on one of Charlevoix’s highest bluffs. A house unlike any other you have seen. This is the final house Earl Young built for himself and his wife Irene after he mastered the art of building with stone. There are many unique details that Young added throughout. It sits in a U shape with one bedroom (two twin beds) and its bathroom on one end of the U, and two bedrooms (one queen and one king bedroom) with a bathroom in between on the other end of the U. The queen bedroom is a walkthrough space to get to the back king bedroom. The back deck is private, sheltered from the wind and 3 stories above the street as if it’s hovering in the trees! We offer our guests all that you need during your stay to make it as relaxing and worry-free as possible. I'm extremely OCD/germaphobic, so my definition of clean is a bit unrealistic. But this place was truly SPOTLESS, and absolutely perfect in every detail. The home is stunning, and truly extraordinary...a genuine living piece of art and history. Every inch of the home is pristine, and very well set-up for an easy and relaxed experience. Everything is so thoughtful, the Nespresso, fully stocked with every flavor imaginable and sugar/sweetener, pretty much everything at your fingertips. The king bed is CRAZY comfy, as are the pillows and blankets. Sparkling clean, but lush and soft and just delightful. Really nice towels, sheets...every amenity is high end. The decor is gorgeous - streamlined but rich and elegant and just lovely. The location is unreal. You are truly within a few feet of the water, but protected by a wooded area, so the walk to the beach is minutes. It is quiet and insulated, for a genuinely peaceful experience. You can walk down Park Avenue to several lovely restaurants for carry- out or dine-in, steps from the most charming little downtown area, but distant enough that it's downright bucolic. The highlights of the home are the beautiful fireplace and the outdoor deck area. The fireplace puts off so much warmth, the room is enormous, but so well laid out, it manages to be open and expansive but also cozy. On our one rainy day we just had a movie marathon in that lovely, restful, snug room...precious family time. The back porch is just charming, with a very unique design, cozy and private but picturesque...simply gorgeous. The value is extraordinary, this home is spacious and comfortable and just so special. It feels like the quality of the original 50s materials, but somehow with no wear and tear. It's quality + clean + artistry = magic. Other things to note Why Charlevoix? And, Lake Michigan is around the corner! The space The whole house is yours! There’s so much space inside and out for your whole group!! BRAND NEW CENTRAL AC INSTALLED. You will feel refreshed when coming back to a cool house after a hot day at the beach and each bedroom can control their own temperature!!! We have a huge living room with the leaded glass window and extra large smart tv. The Arhaus couch doesn’t want you to forget movie night after you catch the Lake Michigan sunset. This room is able to be a kids or adults only room with its wood panel doors that can add privacy from the rest of the house. The front door opens to the family room with the gorgeous fireplace and brand Article leather couch. This room is open to the dinning room with a Restoration Hardware farmhouse table. The kitchen is updated with new stainless appliances and a gas stove for easy cooking. Everything you need is provided, even a Vitamix. Of course the Keurig and k-cups too :) We have a 12-cup maker as well. The laundry room is right off the kitchen with full size machines and that’s where you’ll find all the beach towels and second refrigerator too. Located in the historic Pine Point neighborhood, this cabin, nicknamed “Pinecone Cabin”, boasts modern amenities while blending into the forest, letting you enjoy the relaxing pace of “Lake Life”. You’re only a short walk from the neighborhood sandy beach, and only minutes by car or bike to downtown Charlevoix! The space Make yourself at home! Enjoy step-free access up a ramp to the main floor, where you’ll find two queen bedrooms, a twin bedroom with private bathroom, a second bathroom, living room, dining room, and a full kitchen. A spiral staircase (with built-in baby gates) leads down to the walkout basement, where there is a queen bedroom, two twin daybeds in the family room, and a bathroom. Each bedroom includes a smart TV, connected to the home’s WiFi. With three bathrooms, there’s plenty of space for the whole family! Outdoors, you can BBQ, enjoy the screened in porch, play in the spacious front yard, and roast marshmallows around the fire pit. Guest access You’ll have the whole house to yourself, including two driveways with space for four cars. One driveway is paved and is located in front of the garage. The second driveway is gravel, located in front of the house. The right side of the garage is available for your use as well, and provides ramp (no-step) access to the main level of the house. Other things to note The basement is walk out/daylight, and can be accessed either from the outside or via a spiral staircase inside. There is one queen bedroom and two day beds in the basement. The main floor is accessible by steps or a ramp that makes access easy for everyone! There are two queen bedrooms and one twin bedroom on the main floor.

The space There are 3 bedrooms with 1 full size bed, 1 queen size bed and 1 king size bed. A king is in the Master bedroom which also has a half bath attached. Each bedroom has a full closet with hangers. We also have a work space in the bedroom with a queen. There are two sofa pull outs in the living room. We do not have an oven - we have a miniature toaster oven, a toaster, a microwave, and stove top. Our fridge is a slim fridge (not full size). There is a back up fridge in the garage. As of right now (2025) we are undergoing some minimal construction-which is why the fireplace is not usable. Wi-Fi is spotty and not always reliable in our area due to the 15 acres it sits on. The best way to enjoy - unplugged. The only air conditioning is a unit in the living room it is a mini-split. We love animals and feel strongly that they are apart of our families. With that being said they are an extra add on to your reservation. If you choose to bring an animal it must be leashed the entire time while on our property. We have wildlife living in our backyard and we want to make sure our domesticated and wild animals are safe. You must keep your animals leashed the entire time while it is outside. If you are to leave the property and your dog stays, they must be crated. We do have a pet fee as our little furry friends do a lot of shedding and track in paw prints that require an extra good scrubbing. Thank you for understanding! Guest access House - does not include basement. We have a long driveway with a circle at the end. Cars may be parked in the driveway and 2 cars may park in the garage. Other things to note Smoking Policy: Smoking is NOT allowed in the house or on the premises. Parking Policy: Vehicles may be parked in the circle drive only. Vehicles may not be parked on the grass. Pet Policy: Up to two house-trained dogs are permitted. Additional pets and other types of pets require prior approval from the homeowner ("Host"). Guests are responsible for cleanup of all pet refuse (doggy bags provided). Pets are not allowed on furniture at any time. Pets shall not be left unattended indoors for an undue length of time and shall not be left outdoors when guests are not on property. Pets should be in a crate while guests are not in the home. Guests are solely responsible for their pets while on premises. Host is not responsible or liable for anything that happens to guests animals on their property. Party and Event Policy: Small gatherings of no more than 12 people are permitted with prior approval from the Host. Guests and their invitees must be reasonably quiet during the day and quiet after dark, and must not drink irresponsibly or allow underage drinking. Guests must respect the property and the neighbors. Guests are solely responsible for themselves and anyone they invite onto the premises. Guest Occupancy: The maximum number of guests is limited to eight (8) people. Additional guests may not stay overnight at the property without prior approval from the Host. Check-out Procedures: Guests are expected to follow the check-out procedures, which are provided prior to arrival, as well as at the house. These include things that will help our housekeeper and house manager prepare for the next guests, such as starting a load of laundry and a load of dishes, and taking out the trash. They also include safety measures like locking the doors and returning the keys to the key holder by the door. If you are opposed to this, please let us know in advance and we may be able to arrange for an earlier departure with fewer obligations. Rates and Payment: Rates are subject to change prior to reservation confirmation. All payments must be made through Airbnb. If Guest arrives later than the reserved arrival date or departs prior to the reserved departure date, any nights not stayed will not be refunded. Use of Household Items: The property is furnished and includes many items for Guest use. Household items are not to be removed from the property. Host's personal items in storage are not to be used or removed from the basement or garage. The property, furnishings, and appliances must be kept in good order. Furniture may not be moved from its original location. No alterations or repairs to the home or furnishings may be done by the Guest. Security Deposit: A security deposit of $200 is required upon reservation. This deposit will be fully refunded if damages have not occurred and there is no cleaning of an unusual nature required after Guest's stay. Routine and usual cleaning after check-out is included in the rental rate. If additional cleaning expenses or expenses for damages must be incurred to restore the property to its condition at the time of Guest arrival, the amount necessary for said restoration will be deducted from the security deposit, and the balance, if any, will be refunded. If costs for cleaning and/or damages exceed the amount of the security deposit, Guest will be billed for actual expenses incurred. Damages and Cleaning: If the premises appear dirty or damaged upon check-in, Guest must inform Host immediately. If spills, stains, or damages occur during Guest's stay, Guest shall inform Host upon checkout. If such damages require immediate attention in order to prevent further damage or in order for Guest to use and/or enjoy the property amenities, Guest must inform Host immediately so that reparative action can be taken. In the event the Host cannot be reached by phone to report damages or concerns, Guest shall notify the housekeeper (contact information provided at the property). Waiver of Liability: During the time Guest utilizes the property, Guest shall remain solely responsible for themselves, their pets, and all their invited guests. This includes any damages to the property, building, furnishings, and household items, and any personal injuries or illnesses that occur. Guest agrees to indemnify and hold Host harmless in such regards. Host is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft of personal property owned by Guest. Phew! Are you still awake?
