The other lower level room is a "den" with double bed (no attached bath or closet). It has glass French doors on two walls with stained glass accents. ADA ACCESSIBLE The lower unit is ADA accessible: - paved parking is level with front door - wide hallways and doors - roll-in shower - seats in showers NOISE The home is nestled in the trees along Hwy 900, a high traffic road between Issaquah and Renton. Expect to hear cars and trucks pass by day and night from inside, but also enjoy the sights and sounds of mother nature all around you. See photos for proximity to the street. LOCATION Being on Hwy 900 means you won't spend extra time driving through neighborhoods or city streets to get to your destination. From the house, zip right onto this scenic road and hit the freeway, town or trailheads within minutes. Note that commute hours in the morning and late afternoon create heavy traffic on this road, I-90, and main roads in Issaquah, so plan accordingly. Outdoor enthusiasts will find two ski resorts less than an hour away, as well as boating/swimming, miles of cycling, running, fishing, downhill biking, destination hiking and even paragliding just down the road. Water toys and boats can be parked in the open space to the right of the house. Issaquah has a charming shopping area called Gilman Village as well as restaurants, live theater and local shops along Front Street. BOOKING ALTERNATIVES It was remodeled to be booked as one large house, OR as two separate and private units on each level. The space Wandering Wombat Cottage has three bedrooms and a private loft space which comfortably sleep eight people (loft space has no door but is away from the living area). The recently renovated house has a full kitchen, two bathrooms and laundry facilities. The house is a perfect set up for two families, as it has two queen bedrooms and two bedrooms with 2 twin beds in each. The kitchen has a full sized refrigerator and freezer, dishwasher, oven, cooktop and Keurig coffee machine. We provide all the necessary items you should need to cook proper meals including knives that actually cut! Coffee, tea and a few other staples are provided. Gorgeous tree and mountain views. Guest access Guests will have exclusive access to the whole house. Free parking for up to four cars is also included. The house has a rear deck which is a nice place to hang out. Other things to note Our house is located on busy Front Street which puts you in the heart of the action and although the house is set back from the road and protected by trees, there can be some traffic noise outside the cottage. Inside the house feels private and quiet. The cottage is old and the ceilings upstairs are low. Upstairs bedroom not recommended for anyone taller than about 6 ft. Both bathrooms are downstairs and one is accessed via the downstairs master bedroom. Cleaning service during your stay is available for $180. The house has a Ring doorbell camera which helps us monitor the house while we are not there for your security.

You will have 3 bedrooms in the house (1 king, 2 qn/full), and in the DADU you have 1 king open lofted room with a sleeper sofa. It can sleep up to 9 people comfortably. Guest access The main access is from the driveway. There is an entry way between the units to the main house and the entry way to the Getaway to the right. They say it's nicer than what photos reveal. The space The entire home to yourself! In this home located in a quiet suburban neighborhood, you'll enjoy the outdoor living room and patio fireplace. Amazingly comfortable king size bed in a 5 pc masters . We got asked multiple times where we bought this bed. Three more BRs with comfortable queen beds and closets. Fully fenced large backyard and part of it is rubber chips ground. The indoor space is bright and airy, with a large living room and dining room that flow as a fantastic gathering space. The kitchen is fully equipped and food delivery apps provide plenty of options for delicious fare. For the business travelers, help yourself to the high speed wifi, printer, and office area equipped with a monitor for you to plug into. Versatility, comfort, clean and quiet. Guest access You have access to all common areas of the home; some storage areas like the garage, pantry, and a few closets and cabinets are used for storage and will be locked off, we ask that you please do not try to open any cabinets that are marked accordingly. Two cars may park on the driveway; other cars may park in the cul de sac. Uber and Lyft to and from the freeway can be around $20-35 USD (depending on other factors). Typically, when we go on a night out on the town in Downtown Seattle, we take an Uber with a group of friends and the drive is only about 20-25 minutes. Other things to note Sorry, this property is not taking reservations from guests who do not have their review from previous hosts posted on their account. For long term guests (2 weeks or longer), we like to pay a weekly visit inside the house to water the plants. During this time we can also change bed sheets. We coordinate the time and day of this visit with the guests and the maintenance/cleaning crew. We usually take out garbage bins on Mondays and put them back on Tuesdays. Soak up the Pacific Northwest forest vibe in our cozy 3-bedroom retreat. Our place is surrounded by big mossy trees and bordered by a beautiful stream with waterfalls, yet we are right down the street from the grocery store, restaurants, a movie theater, and other shopping. It's a hidden sanctuary in the middle of town! Issaquah is perfectly located to easily access beautiful hikes, lakes, and mountains in one direction and the Seattle city life in the other direction. The space The house is a manufactured home, about 1000sqft total. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The Master bedroom has a King bed, an armoire, & an ensuite bathroom. Bedroom #2 has a twin-over-full bunk bed with a twin trundle pullout underneath. Bedroom #3 has a twin-over-twin bunk bed. Both bathrooms have a standup shower only, no bathtubs. The main living area has 2 couches and a 55” smart TV. There is a dining table that seats 6 (outdoor dining also available on the covered deck). There is a full kitchen stocked with everything you should need and a washer and dryer in the unit. The back deck runs the length of the house and is covered with clear plastic so you can still see the beautiful surroundings and let the sun in but be protected from the rain. There is a BBQ grill for guests use and string lights hung to create a cozy ambience in the evenings. The house is on an acre of beautiful green yard and gorgeous trees. Hang up the provided hammock in between the front yard trees and enjoy a relaxing swing. There is another smaller guesthouse on the property that is also rented out year-round (sleeps 5). If you’re interested in booking both, please reach out to us. Please note: There are a few areas in the backyard that have an unfenced dropoff down a steep hill, as well as deck/platforms with very low railings/benches. We raised our small children here with no problem but if you are worried about safety, please note this and keep a close eye on your children. Our property goes all the way down to the stream and there are some rugged trails that lead down to the stream from behind the house (in between the house and the guesthouse). Please feel free to explore but please take care when doing so. We have a lot of wildlife! 😊 Guest access Guests have access to the entire larger home on the property (there is another smaller guesthouse also on the property) as well as the back deck that runs the length of the home. Guests from both the house and the guesthouse share access to the yard and the trails down to the stream. Other things to note You are welcome to explore the unfinished trails down to the stream but do so at your own risk. Children should be accompanied by an adult. Watch out for wildlife - deer, coyotes, bears, and owls have been spotted. This guesthouse is not suitable for parties or events; they are not allowed on the property. There is a smaller additional dwelling unit on the property that is also a short-term rental and we expect guests to be considerate of that. If at all possible, please don't book for other people as it makes it hard to communicate with the actual guest and hard for them to leave a review.
