The home has no air conditioning however it sits at 8600 ft so it very rarely gets over 80 and the home stays in about the 70s even on the hottest. The temperature stays about 40-50 degrees at night even in the summer. The main level boasts an open kitchen, wood-burning fireplace, half bath, and a spacious dining area for 8. 75in smart TV, laundry, and comfy seating are also provided. The second level features a master bedroom with a king bed, walk-in closet, and a small deck with seating. Bedroom 2 on the second level has a twin bunk over a queen bed and a small game area. Bedroom 3 offers a king bed with mountain views and a walk-in closet. The lower level includes bedroom 4 (king), a kitchenette, full bathroom, and a cozy living room with smart TV. Humidifiers, fans, and heaters ensure your comfort. You are not likely to miss A/C at Starry Peak due to the 8000 ft of elevation. WiFi and Smart TVs are available, with AT&T and T-Mobile cell service. In rare instances, WiFi may be unavailable. There is a fully equipped kitchen, games, indoor gas fireplace, plenty of room for the whole family, and a propane grill on the porch with views. Please note: there is a short walk from the parking area to the steps that is a natural land slope. There is no ramp down to the steps. Permit: STR-22-191 The space This is a wonderful space for those wanting a true Rocky Mountain getaway. Please read all sections carefully before booking to make sure it's the right fit for you :) 4WD is recommended year around, but is mandatory September 1st through May 30th. High clearance is mandatory--you will be on dirt roads which are sometimes steep, and if the weather is extreme small ruts can form in the mountain roads. This beautiful home is located on Starr Peak, just off the Peak to Peak Highway, between Nederland and Black Hawk. Amazing views at a high elevation means steep roads, 4 wheel drive requirements October through May, and a chance you will have to slip on the ***snow shoes*** for the short walk from the parking area to the front door. The snow shoes are located next to the propane tank, in the parking area. Please note: this property is no smoking, indoors or outdoors, and no fires. Your accommodations will feature an outdoor hot tub, a fully-equipped kitchen, a propane grill, well-appointed bathrooms, a laundry area, spacious showers, a desk/chair for working, and cozy queen beds in the 3 bedrooms. Upstairs you will find games, including darts and air hockey, and 3 twin beds for the children. -1000 sq feet, 3 bedrooms, family room with 3 additional beds. -Games provided in the upstairs family room. -No outdoor fires, and absolutely NO smoking, incense, or vape pens. Weather can be unpredictable, and the winds may be severe. -The road going up the mountain is VERY steep. -4-wheel drive is *REQUIRED* September 1-May 31st. -If you come during the winter, we ask that you have experience driving in the snow. Winter weather can be unpredictable and we want our guests to be safe. -When storms come, we pay a driver to clear the parking are, however you may need to do some shoveling on the steps and walkway. -The county maintains the private dirt road, and they plow between 6 am and 11 am, normally. -The winds often create snow drifts, so you may have to deal with the aftereffects of Rocky Mountain snow/winds during the winter months. ELEVATION It's important to note that the higher altitude means thinner air, which can affect your physical well-being. 9,100’ is extremely high elevation! Please be mindful of the potential challenges and exertion that may come with residing at this elevation. If you are coming from sea-level, we recommend you be in decent physical shape. Your body can take up to 3 months to adapt to altitude; it’s not something that happens quickly. You should also drink more water than when at sea level; it’s extremely dry in the Rockies. INTERNET -Starklink is extremely fast, but there is no cell service at the cabin (Except for a fleeting AT&T one-bar when the wind blows right 😆) -You must enable “Wi-Fi Calling” on your phone to make calls or receive texts. -“Wi-Fi Calling” is a separate setting on your phone. It is usually turned off by default. -You may need to add “Wi-Fi Calling” to your phone’s plan. -Pro-tip: turn on Airplane Mode, then turn on WiFi, and WiFi Calling to force your phone to use Wi-Fi Calling. Propane grill, pots, pans, lids, dishes, toaster, a drip coffee maker, stove top water kettle, microwave, dishwasher, dish clothes, kitchen towels, pot holders, can opener, wine openers, gas range, knives, cutting boards, colander, mixing bowls, etc. BATHROOM -There are bath towels/wash cloths provided. -The shower has shampoo and conditioner; usually Pantene Pro-V or Dove. -The body wash is usually Suave or Dove. -There is a washer and dryer, but please limit the use of these as much as possible. The cleaning company will wash towels/sheets. (The well is shallow so delicate water consumption is required. Thank you!) -Gain laundry products. Guest access You'll have full access to the entire house, with just a couple exceptions: there are 2 small locked utilities closets for cleaning and maintenance supplies. Other things to note • No smoking of cigarettes/vape pens anywhere on property. NO tobacco use anywhere on property. • An indoor air quality detection system is in place. • Please be peaceful and considerate guests; our neighbors are like family, and respecting their peace and privacy is our top priority. • Please limit to 1 load of laundry per week. The well is very shallow, so delicate water consumption is required. • No food dumped or left outdoors. It WILL attract local bears. • Park in your own private area, just uphill from the house. • There is a naturally sloping walk to the front steps. There is NO RAMP to the porch/front door. • Snow removal in the parking area is contracted with a local provider, but shoveling may be necessary throughout your stay. • 4-wheel drive and high clearance is required September 1st through May 31st. • The dirt roads are well-maintained, but some roads leading to the house are at a steep incline. • There is an abundance of wildlife in the yard: moose, bear, bobcat, mountain lion, mule deer, ground squirrels and chipmunks. Some animals can be dangerous; please do not approach any wildlife. Guest access The entire house and property are available for your use. There are 2 locked closets for maintenace personnel, but there are other closets available to hang your clothes.

Thorn Lake, right across the road, is stocked with trout every year and offers some spectacular views while you test your angling skills - catch and release only. We also offer a canoe so you can row around the lake and soak it all in. Between Golden Gate Canyon and Rollinsville, you’ve got some of the best hiking in the state anywhere from 2-10 minutes away. Eldora is a short 20 minute drive away and offers great skiing without the headache of dealing with I-70. And if you’re in the mood for a fun night out, Nederland is only 15 minutes away and the casinos are a 10 minute drive down 119. If a longer drive doesn’t bother you, Boulder, Golden and Evergreen are all around 30 minutes away and offer great food, entertainment and activities. There are a few other homes that are nearby but on 1.7 acres you will be able to enjoy the surrounding views with peace and tranquility. The home itself has been renovated and is designed to have everything you need for a relaxing stay. The house itself is designed with an big open floor plan and lots of space for you and your whole group to hang out together without feeling cramped. With 3 stories and a large patio and yard, there is plenty of room for families or groups to spread out. PLEASE NOTE: 4WD or AWD vehicle is necessary to access the property safely during Winter and early spring months, you must have an 4WD or AWD vehicle for our neighborhood snowpacked roads. Main Floor: The main floor consists of a spacious kitchen, open living room, dining room, 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom. Kitchen: Perfect for those that love to cook, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need to prepare wonderful meals! All new appliances including a double oven, induction stove, large refrigerator and freezer, and microwave. Blender, toaster, waffle maker, ample pots, pans, baking sheets, mixing bowls, and cooking utensils are all fully stocked as well. Cooking spices and basic cooking oils are also fully stocked! And of course having a cup of coffee out on the deck while enjoying mountain views is the best way to start the day - a coffee machine big enough to make a pot to share and a french press are there, with coffee stocked and ready to go! Living Room: Large comfortable couch and oversized arm chair allow for plenty of room for your whole family or group to gather around the woodburning fireplace and TV. The property does not have land-line phone service. ***Winter Access*** Winter mountain weather can make roadways challenging at times. The driveway is short but slopes uphill to get out. Even when roads and the driveway are plowed, snow can compact creating icy surfaces. Two-wheel drive vehicles may experience difficulty during and after winter storms. Four-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicles are typically not necessary but are recommended between November and April due to unpredictable weather and road conditions.

Retreat to the A-Frame on 12 secluded acres surrounded by big mountain views! Soak in the lux cedar hot tub enveloped by aspen & pine trees. In the quaint town of Rollinsville find a craft distillery, brewery and coffee shop just a mile away from the cabin. Drive 15 minutes to Ski Eldora or drink, shop and dine in the funky town of Nederland. Wander the property's private trails or adventure to any of the stunning trails just miles away. The A-frame was made for gathering, rest and exploration. The space The cabin is a beautiful A-Frame suited with 4 king size bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. One of the bedrooms is an open loft which is above the living room and adjacent to the primary suite. On the main level you will find the kitchen, dining, living room, two bedrooms, a powder room and a full bath with a bath tub. NOTE: Although we are pet friendly (1 pet), we do charge a flat fee of $200/stay. Guest access Guests will have access to the full cabin, garage and 12 acres. Other things to note While the A-Frame is just 10 minutes to town it is located in a true mountain community. Service can be limited but we have Starlink! Although we are pet friendly (1 pet), we do charge a flat fee of $200/stay. The wildlife (while sometimes rare to see) call this area home. This area does have moose, fox, mountain lions and bears. The home is accessed by a very well maintained dirt road, and during the winter we have a plow service. Guests must have a car as ride share is not available. Guests must have all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive in the winter, and it is still recommended in the summer. While we would love to host families the stair railing has large spaces which a child could fall through, and the deck from the primary suite also could be dangerous for children as the railing are low has large space between the balusters.

He will walk around the back side of the house to the hot tub and does not need access to the house. With 3 bedrooms that can sleep up to 6 people, Cabana Cielo is an adult version of your childhood treehouse! Private office available for stays of 30 days or longer. 30 minutes to downtown Golden or Boulder. The space This home is quiet. It has fiber internet, smart tv's in the bedrooms and the ground level that all have all major streaming apps available to login. Netflix is paid for. It does not have a TV in the main living room. We do have a private office that is available for stays of 30 days or longer. Guest access You will have access to the entire home, except; the office (don't worry, there is still dedicated work space in the loft); the unfinished basement area; two loft closets; the boiler room and the garage. Other things to note There is parking for up to 5 vehicles. Please only park in the upper portion of the driveway that is closest to the home. There is a pullout half way up the driveway, please do not park there. If you're staying in the winter months we recommend an all wheel drive vehicle and/or good snow tires to get up a couple of steep spots. The space Our luxury mountain cabin is a high-end yet comfortable destination that feels remote while being in the Front Range, and has incredible access to Colorado wildlife, the outdoors, and nature in general. The 3B/2Ba home has a two car covered garage and all the modern amenities you would expect from a 5-star hotel! All beds have brand new, high-end mattresses and luxe eucalyptus sheets, and the home is fully stocked with everything from towels and toiletries to basic cooking  (and grilling!) utensils. If you smoke outside you MUST dispose of your butts properly. DO NOT FLICK THE BUTTS! We live in a fire hazard area and that one careless act could cost a whole neighborhood. 420 activities inside should be limited to the main bar area, common area downstairs, and bathrooms. No 420 activity is allowed in the carpeted couch area of the main floor or the bedrooms. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in keeping the furnishings nice while enjoying a cool vibe. You are always welcome to tip our cleaning crew with excess supplies! The road to the house is a private road shared by neighbors only.
