This glass-fronted sauna provides incredible views of the hillside and firepit. * HOT TUB: A 4-person hot tub is located off of the main deck at the rear of the house - The hot tub overlooks the firepit and expansive woods and nature. * COLD PLUNGE: For heat/cold therapy lovers, we have included a stock tank that can be used as a cold plunge. This is ideal for use within sauna sessions, or as a cool refreshing dip in the summer. The cold plunge can be filled with fresh, cool, well water using the garden hose. This does not include a chiller and water temperature will be dependent on outside temperature and/or the temperature of ground water. *Please note that the outdoor cold plunge may not be available at times in the winter months due to low temperatures - please check in advance for availability as it all depends on whether outdoor fresh water can be provided to fill it or not. * FIREPIT – Year-round. Bring your own wood. Surrounded by string lights and forest views. *YARD – Peaceful wooded grounds perfect for nature/birdwatching, or outdoor games. Guest access The Hilltop Chalet is located within a non-gated rural community - the final road to the Chalet is gravel. Speed limits on these roads are 25 mph or less (less is better). Guests will be required to sign a "short-term lease" for the duration of your stay. These will be provided to guests following booking and prior to arrival. To complete this paperwork, each guest must provide a copy of your drivers license. Guests will be given access information that will be good for the duration of your stay. Guests will have full access to all of the property with the exception of 2 locked storage/linen closets. Heating/AC: High-efficiency heat pump for year-round comfort + Pellet stove for ambience in the winter months. Quiet rural community. The house is located on a gravel road. Car recommended. If you are looking to have a more isolated experience, then this place is not the best choice for you (Your happiness and enjoyment are very important to me, so I really want the best match for your break). With that said, the property has tons of trees, lots of birds, deer, sometimes turkeys, squirrels, sometimes black bear sightings, and is on Saw Creek. There are plenty of recreational options at the community amenities (pools, tennis, and gym, all within minutes and included) and the Pocono area (the Delaware Water Gap National Park is ten minutes away). All bedrooms (and the sleeping nook) have ceiling fans. We are just minutes away from Bushkill Falls, Ziplining, Shawnee ski resort, hiking and biking trails, horseback riding, and so much more. Saw Creek has 5 outdoor and two indoor pools, tennis and basketball courts, gym, and its own private restaurant. Guest access House has large decks, front and back, with a partially screened in section. There is also a tree-filled yard. Unauthorized use will result in a $1,000 cleaning, inspection, and damage fee. - Smoking traditional cigarettes or pipes of any kind is strictly prohibited inside the home. A $300 remediation fee will be charged for violations. - We adore four-legged companions, but we ask that you leave the grounds as beautiful as you found them. Failure to clear pet waste prior to checkout will incur a $150 removal fee. While smoking inside is strictly prohibited, you are welcome to smoke outside on the property where a designated ashtray is provided for your use, though we kindly ask that you dispose of all trash completely to keep our sanctuary beautiful. It is on the south side of the house giving you unsurpassed mountain views.For your outdoor enjoyment there is a patio table, chairs and umbrella.There is also a gas grill if you would like to BBQ during your stay. The fully equipped kitchen boasts all new stainless steel appliances,granite countertops,and a spacious work island with seating for two. There is one full bathroom with toilet, tub and rainhead shower. All linens and bath towels are provided. There are three bedrooms and a pull out sofa in the living room. All beds are dressed with foam toppers for your comfort and the full size futon bed has a 10” memory foam mattress!! Guest access Guests have access to the entire property, the lake, the playground a few houses down as well a private hiking trail which starts at the playground and continues up the ridge line (across the lake) and ends in a maintained picnic area at the other side of the lake. The entire home is available to guests with the exception of the following: • a locked closet in the bunk bedroom. That is privately used to store the host's items. • Utilities area in downstairs bathroom is locked. • Storage Closet for Cleaner's items is locked but washer/dryer side remains open for guests that need. • The outside shed is also locked but water related items like floats (based on availability) and fishing poles will be left out upon request. Other things to note Because this cottage is also our second home and due to recent issues in the area we are not accepting newly created Airbnb profiles. Special exceptions can be made at our discretion. -- TRASH - service is Friday evening. Bins located by the street next to our driveway. Always bag garbage and lock the bins and garbage shed when done. PETS- You're free to walk around with your dog but they must be on a leash at all times. There is abundant wildlife here as well as other dogs in this neighborhood. Guests will need to bring their own firewood for the fireplace. If any wood is available outside this may be used for the outdoor fire pit but we advise guests bring their own in case there isn't seasonal wood available. For longer stays, if you require laundry service or towel replenishment (for a small fee), or use of washer/dryer (free), please let us know in advance. The road to our cottage (while beautiful) is not paved, during icier months it is advisable to use a vehicle with 4 Wheel Drive. Upstairs and Downstairs Living areas are controlled with the silver remotes located in each room. Sun icon = Heat Snowflake icon = AC. The upstairs and downstairs living room units are connected to wifi and have eco settings which may default back to a comfortable temp range (68-72 degrees) during prolonged periods of heavy usage. If you encounter an Error Message it usually is because one unit is set to heat while the other is set to cool. All units need to be on the same mode to function. Please note the Bunk bed room does not have a split unit system, it has a space heater and can be outfit with a window fan in the warmer months if desired. If you are staying for more than a few days, additional chlorine is available for the hot tub in the cabinet downstairs next to the mini fridge. Please cover the hot tub when not in use. The cover folds up and can be placed to the right of the tub. While there are adult life preservers for use, we require that life preservers for CHILDREN be purchased by guests. We take pride in making sure our home is super clean! Our home is located near Bushkill Falls, Shawnee Mountain Ski Please note, there is an additional charge of $30 per person per night for groups over 6 people. Guest access You will have access to the entire home as well as the beautiful yard along with 3 decks and multiple seating areas. Other things to note Our home was built in 1987. It has had all new flooring installed, brand new bathrooms, and the whole house has been freshly painted. Being that the home is 35 years old, there are some imperfections, like a few windows are a little difficult to open. The kitchen counter top is the original counter top. It is in good shape, so we opted not to replace it just yet. Please note you must be 21 years old to book a stay with us. Our home is in a gated community. Our community does require that all guests be registered to gain access to the community. We will ask for a list of all the guests full names. We also need to list any drivers with our gate to gain access to the community. Please note that we do have a fire pit. If there has not been a lot of rain the community may decide to do a burn ban which would prohibit the use of the fire pit. This is beyond our control. To compensate for this we have purchased a lovely fire table that you could use instead. You would still be able to use the grill and the fire table in the event of a burn ban. We will not issue refunds for burn bans, or closing of any community amenities due to rain or any other unforseen circumstance that is beyond our control. **Please note that there is a ring doorbell/camera mounted on the front door that does record any movement in the driveway and anyone coming in the front door. **
