Take a break from the hustle and bustle at this Hartwell lakefront, quiet retreat. Located on the back of a quiet cove with very few boats coming through, giving you the ability to paddle board and kayak. Located just 6 miles from Clemson, it is a great place to stay for game weekends and graduations. The home has room for large groups and/or family gatherings, with a split floor plan. In the spring and summer, you can easily tie up your boat to the dock. Easy walk out from home to the dock. The space The primary bedroom has a separate bathroom with two vanities and a king bed. This is in the upper level of the house. The main level has three bedrooms, two with queen beds and one with a triple bunk bed. There is a guest bathroom next to the bedrooms. The lower level is another primary bedroom with a king bed, futon and adjoining bathroom. The home has two kayaks and one stand up paddle board. Also a variety of floats, including 4 person island float. There are board games, and a shuffleboard for any rainy days Guest access Access entire home, with exception of locked closet in primary bedroom. Other things to note There are six life vests in the garage, for guest use. To open the garage door, open the door off the kitchen that goes to the downstairs bedroom, and there is a button on the inside of the wall. When in the water, it is important to understand that swimming, using kayaks, and all other water equipment, should be done at your own risk. When swimming, using the kayaks or any other water equipment, you accept full responsibility of the risk and dangers associated with swimming and use of the water equipment. When the lake is full pool, i.e. 660 feet, there is a little over 6 feet of water at the front of the dock. Please make sure to look at the water levels before booking. The water is highest from mid-March until mid-July. In mid to late July, they begin draining the lake, to feed other lakes. As the lake level goes down, there is less and less water at our dock, ultimately going dry in October/November. Google "Lake Hartwell water level" and you can see the chart with the daily water level, and historic water levels for the prior two years.

Enjoy the covered back deck overlooking the wooded slope leading to the covered dock and private boat slip. Perfect for family vacations, lake weekends, fishing trips, and Clemson game day stays with family and friends. The space The cabin is located just 5 miles from Clemson University. It sits on a quiet gravel road shared with a few private homes, offering a peaceful and relaxing setting. The road has a 10 mph speed limit, helping keep the area calm and safe. Currently, Lake Hartwell is significantly lower than normal due to drought conditions. You may still be able to swim, but the water level is too low for boats to reach the dock at this time. During the Clemson school year, you may notice a white pickup truck parked at the back of the driveway. This is the owner's son's personal vehicle. He will not be staying at or occupying the cabin. Clemson golf course is across the lake. We are PET FRIENDLY with a max of 2 dogs. There is a $75 pet fee. Read the house rules concerning pets. The space This house is cozy and easy to live in: no froo-froo! Hardwood floors, simple "vintage" furnishings; no marble or granite. There is a deck on back of house; deck in the backyard with steps to dock. Bring your boat or see about using our kayaks. We are one cove away from the Clemson Marina. We are behind The Flats. This is a quiet neighborhood with one close-by neighbor. We ask that you respect their privacy. There will be a gas grill in the yard to use with a propane tank. There are 6 beds (3 twins, 2 doubles, 1 queen) and one queen sofa bed. This 70 year old house is recently (2019) renovated with almost all new floors, tile, carpet, appliances and bathroom fixtures. Guest access You'll have access to the whole home, decks, and the dock at the lake. Though the house is not located directly on the water, our private dock is only a 1-2 minute walk from the home. House is located in a private community yet only 2.5 miles to Death Valley and Clemson. Enjoy a walk down to the lake or relax on the back deck. WIFI is included with access to Hulu and Disney+. Kid friendly as well. Property is also within 1.2 miles of Oconee Airport, 0.7 miles to a dock, 1.5 miles to the grocery store, and less than 1.3 miles to Y beach public parking (avoid game day traffic if you are coming in for football). Close to everything in Oconee, Pickens and Anderson Counties. The space You will enjoy the quiet neighborhood while you are in the house but realize you are close to Clemson University if you are in town for an event or seminar there. Also right on the county line between Oconee, Pickens and Anderson counties so great access to any event you may be attending in one of these places. We truly want out place to feel like home to you while you are here. There are probably a few scuff marks on the wall that maybe my kids put there or someone else’s did when they were visiting. It isn't going to be perfect. But see we have tried to make our place as affordable as we can to as many people as we can coming to the Clemson area. I think if you will look at some of the other prices of comparable places in our area you’ll see that. We want our place to be affordable to the family coming to visit their kid at school, to the man who is coming to take a fishing trip with his son, to the nurse or pastor coming to temporarily serve our area, and to anyone and everyone in between. The number one thing we are told about our place? It felt like home while we were there. That is always our number one goal. So if completely modern décor is what you need, we may not be the rental for you. Our 3 bedroom house is located on Lake Hartwell and is just a 15 min drive to Clemson University. You can enjoy access to the dock and beach which are a quick golf cart ride away. We have paddle boards on the dock and kayaks, coolers, bagged ice, fishing poles etc upon request. Off the back of the detached garage there’s a furnished screened-in deck with a grill that overlooks the end of the cove and fire pit below. The space We have a pontoon boat available to rent- it’s $300/day for a multi-day rental and $350 for a single day rental. Weeklong rentals are also available. We are pet friendly and don’t require a pet fee. The house is located on a gravel road in a quiet cove. We have a community 6-slip dock with a slip available for you to dock your boat during your stay. You can also use the bench and ladder off the end of the dock as well as paddle boards, kayaks, noodles and floats. There’s a golf cart that comes with the rental that you can take to the beach/dock or it’s a short walk. Guest access The entire house is yours to use as well as the fire pit, back deck with grill and carport. We maintain the detached garage for personal storage but you are welcome to park in front of it. Other things to note In addition to the three queen beds we have two fold away beds to accommodate up to 8 guests.

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place to Clemson University. This 1 bedroom apartment over a detached garage was built by my dad in 1979. It has a lot of charm with an old wood stove in the corner of the living room. Surrounded by lots of trees, you will feel like you’re in the forest while only being 3.5 miles from campus. There is currently no WiFi at this property, but working on getting it set up. This is taking a lot longer than expected. Sorry for the inconvenience. The space The Airbnb is separate from the main house. You will enter via the outside stairs. Other things to note Make yourself at home and let me know if you need anything or have any questions.

The living room has a smart TV and electric fireplace. The love seat pulls out into a bed and can fit two little ones or one adult. There is a 6' x 6' porch area with two chairs that look out onto the lake. You'll have access to a 20 x 10' dock, but water levels vary throughout the year. The Friendship Boat Access is 3 minutes from the property. There is a fire pit and seating at the lake's edge stocked with firewood and marshmallow sticks. If you have little ones, we can provide a pack 'n play, highchair, and toys. If you have pups, we can provide food and water bowls as well as a dog bed and crate. Guest access Access is to the self-contained apartment above the detached garage as well as dock and fire pit area. Other things to note We have two 55-pound dogs that live in our main house. Crash is 14 and Bella is 7. Crash barely leaves the couch, but Bella takes her security job seriously and may bark at the window or from our back porch to alert us the guests have arrived. They are both sweet and love to meet new people.
