Bright and spacious basement apartment in a beautiful 1925 craftsman bungalow. A great courtyard and back yard are yours to enjoy - gazebo, gardens, & BBQ. Extremely convenient downtown location with easy access to freeways for mountain ski areas! Pets are not allowed. We work hard to provide an allergy-free environment for our guests indoors, as well as beautiful garden space outdoors. The space Private entrance, off-street parking, and 1100 square feet of whimsical space. The master bedroom is large with a king bed. The second bedroom is smaller with two single beds. The living area is quite nice with a large couch, TV with Netflix, cable TV, a DVD player, surround sound speakers, books, and puzzles. Wifi is available. The kitchen has a new refrigerator, gas stove, and kitchen table. The bathroom has a tub/shower and was recently remodeled. Washer and dryer are also available in the unit. The ceilings are a little low as it is a basement unit. No pets are allowed. We work hard to provide an allergy-free environment indoors for our guests. Guest access The unit is the entire private basement apartment as described above. Guests are welcome to enjoy the courtyard & backyard complete with gazebo, gardens, chicken coop, & BBQ. You're welcome to collect/enjoy eggs & vegetables (season dependent). The cottage-style gardens are intentionally a little overgrown & full in the summer & fall. In the summer, the gazebo grows in with honeysuckle to create a cozy little retreat so it appears a little wild, but charming. Other things to note We have 4 cats that live on the property. If you have severe cat allergies, please find another spot to stay as we don't want any of our guests miserable. If you see any of the cats in the yard, they may try to go inside the basement unit with you, but please don't let them in as we try to keep the unit free of pet dander. There is a chicken coop in the backyard. You are welcome to eggs & anything from the garden when in season.

The space This beautiful and modern loft stands out from your typical backyard guesthouse with its sleek and modern interior, while its exterior still blends in with the charm and character of our historic neighborhood. With a focus on creating an open and inviting space, light pours in through oversized windows and skylights, while vaulted ceilings help create a warm and relaxing space for solo travelers, couples, and families alike. The couch also folds out into an additional queen sized bed for groups larger than 4. A full sized laundry area with washer & dryer, brand new heat pump and HVAC system, as well as on-demand water heater complete the space. Please note that you may hear a garage door open and close throughout the day, as the loft is located in the 2bd floor above our garage. We provide sound machines in each room to help minimize any disturbance this may cause. Additionally, an office located adjacent to the stairway is used by my husband during the day, so guests can expect to occasionally hear muffled voices during work hours. It is a “jack-and-jill” bathroom situated between the two bedrooms. Guests must walk through one of the bedrooms to access the bathroom. We love sitting on the porch to enjoy sunsets behind the uniquely designed power substation across the street. We found it reminiscent of the Art Nouveau stylings of the classic film Metropolis. Of course, we did our research and studies indicate that EMF levels at the edge of a substation boundary are often similar to or lower than those found in a typical home. We have security cameras on the front porch and side of the house to ensure the safety of our guests and their property. Guest access Guests have access to the entire home, including a secured backyard and screened-in porch. Other things to note Although the home is not inherently unsafe, it is unsuitable for the elderly or children. For instance, there are many breakables throughout the house, at a child's reach. There are stairs leading to the front door with no railing. And when getting in and out of the clawfoot tub, there's nothing to hold on to. If you feel these conditions will not compromise the comfort of your stay, we welcome you to book with us! We have a zero-tolerance policy for parties. Most guests find the space peaceful and comfortable. If you are highly sensitive to noise or expecting hotel-level silence, this may not be the best fit. The apartment is accessed via interior stairs from a private side entrance. The stairs are somewhat steep, so please consider this if mobility is a concern. Separate fenced side-yard included, great for dogs. Seasonal bonus: grape vines wrap the property and guests are welcome to enjoy them. Little Green Sugarhouse House

Cozy basement apartment on neighbor-friendly street near the University of Utah. Just 7 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City and only 30 minutes from ski resorts. Sleeps 4 comfortably. WiFi, parking, near trax line, and laundry facilities available. The space This unit is in the best location. So close to public transportation and the University of Utah. It is so easy to get around and only 7 minutes from downtown. Parking is a little tricky, but we have one parking pass for you during you stay. Only one vehicle is recommended for your stay. 20-40 minutes from many major ski resorts. We have two bedrooms for your stay with 3 total beds. Main bedroom includes an extremely soft and comfortable QUEEN SIZED BED. You won’t want to get out of bed but we hope you do because Utah is a beautiful place to explore. The other bedroom has a twin size bed with a twin pull out. It also has a desk in case you need to work during your stay. Full kitchen and one bathroom. The laundry is located in a shared space with the upstairs unit, though they do not use that system as they have their own upstairs. This is a basement unit - I have family that lives upstairs with grandchildren visiting every once in a while. You will hear noise up above and from the back yard during the summer. We do try to be quiet after 10pm, but I want you to be fully aware that you will hear noise. We have white noise machines in each bedroom to help as needed. If you ever have concerns, please reach out. No parties and no guests. Guest access The entire apartment and laundry area. Other things to note A huge reminder that this is a basement unit. You will hear noise from above. I have white noise machines in each bedroom to block out some noise at night time as needed. If you are hoping for a completely silent stay, you may want to consider a different location.
