Convenient US Hwy 61 Studio #10 – Work Then Relax

This beautiful barn apartment is located on Bayou Sarah Farms, Louisiana’s only water buffalo dairy. If you're looking to get away from hustle of the city, this is the stay for you! The space is surrounded by windows so guests can enjoy views of water buffalo grazing on rolling pastures beneath century old live oak trees. There is also a nice balcony to enjoy the views. Small kitchen with the basics. We also have a friendly farm dog, tiny pony, and cats- no animals are allowed indoors. The space The barn is situated on a beautiful 52 acre water buffalo, bee, and chicken farm. During most of the spring and summer, wildflowers line the 1/2 mile driveway into the farm. We are a small farm and utilize permaculture and regenerative practices. We do not use chemicals of any kinds on our pastures, in our gardens, or on our animals. All of our meat and milk come from happy grass fed water buffalo who have never been treated with any hormones or antibiotics. We keep bees and have pasture-raised chickens for eggs. In the spring we raise chickens for meat. In may - July we have an abundant organic blueberry orchard from which guests are welcome to pick their own berries and pay by the pound picked. Guest access Guests are welcome to walk on the paths around the farm. Please be mindful that this is a working farm - do not go through or open any gates for any reason. Do not climb over or under fences. Guests are welcome to enjoy outdoor areas of the barn but please do not enter the commercial kitchen space below the apartment. Guests are welcome to purchase farm products! call or text about available products. Inquire when booking about : A breakfast made by the farmer with most or all products raised here on the farm! Other things to note This is a wonderful place to escape the fast paced life of the city. Do note that we are 15 minutes from the town of St. Francisville. The apartment is on the second floor, so climbing stairs is a requirement. We do have a second Bnb, a studio unit, if you’d like to travel with another couple, you can book both! We encourage guests to leave their phones in their car if possible and enjoy connecting to nature! Listen to the birds, Re-connect to your natural roots!
