The 2 bathrooms were recently remodeled with tile (pictures to be updated).  The kitchen has a double oven and granite counter tops.  The exterior deck overlooks the pool from the second floor.  There is a television in the living room and the king bedroom.   There are free washers and dryers on site.

Welcome to the Secluded Getaway cottage! Our home is conveniently located between the Kalamazoo River and Lake Michigan, making it the perfect spot for access to both beach and town. Enjoy the quiet neighborhood, close access to outdoor activities and the friendly deer which wander through the yard around dusk and dawn. The space This dog friendly, 3 bedroom, 2 full bath home is the perfect spot for families, couples or small groups. The cottage comfortably sleeps 10 adults, all in beds. The main bedrooms feature queen sized beds. The bunk room has built in bunks with two queens on the bottom, covered by XL twin beds on top. Two bathrooms are located on the main level of the home, off the bedrooms. The modern kitchen has almost anything you would need for cooking- pots and pans, dishes, glasses, coffee mugs and other kitchen essentials. A highchair is also available for the little ones. Grab a cup of coffee with the convenience of a Keurig and a travel mug and stroll down to the beach for an early morning walk or to watch the sunset over the big lake. Please enjoy the home, but please treat it with respect. This is our vacation home that we are happy to share with you and others. Amenities for your enjoyment Beach items are available for your use while staying at the cottage. You will find kayaks, beach cruisers and other inflatables as well as a beach bag and small picnic cooler. Please return these when you are finished using them. Games are available for your use while staying as well. Board games are located in the closet off the hallway and lawn games are stored in the shed. Again, please return these when you are finished so that others can enjoy them in the future. The downstairs area is a wonderful refuge for a rainy day or evening, complete with air hockey, foosball, ping pong and pool tables. There is a gas grill on the back patio as well as patio furniture. Feel free to use the grill but ensure that it is cleaned prior to leaving. Other items to note Pet fees: A $75 pet fee for one dog, $100 for two, will be added to the reservation after booking. We love furbabies but no one likes to see remnants left in the yard. Please kindly pick up after your pooch. Cleaning fees: A $195 cleaning fee will be added to the reservation after booking. Please take any garbage accumulated during your stay out to the trash bin located at the top of the driveway. Please leave all used towels in the bathrooms and dirty linens on unmade beds. Please load any used dishes into the dishwasher and start the cleaning cycle prior to leaving the cottage. If you used the gas grill, please ensure that any food residue is burned off and cleaned with the wire brush. Please turn off all lights, close any open windows and lock the digital lock on the front door prior to leaving. Guest access You will be given a code for the front door on the day you arrive. The main floor bedroom has a queen bed. The two upstairs bedrooms each have 1 queen bed and 1 twin bed. There is 1 bathroom on the main floor and 1 bathroom upstairs. Comfortable living space, Wifi included, ample outdoor space for lawn games, chef’s kitchen, breakfast bar, washer/dryer , outdoor grill, and parking for 3 cars. Beach essentials (chairs, umbrella, beach towels, sand toys, cooler, etc.) are available for our guests’ use as well. *NEW* 1st Floor main house bathroom remodel completed in June 2026! There is an optional, private, gated Guest Cottage (Photos under "Additional Photos") on the property for larger parties. It sleeps up to 4 with its own full bathroom and dedicated kitchen. We're just a quick walk, bike, or drive to to the beach, hiking trails, or downtown Saugatuck and Douglas. Our home is styled after a Modern Cabin vibe, but still staying true to its history as a cabin getaway built in the 1940s. BED/BATHS: The house offers a large primary suite with king bed and bathroom with a walk in shower and jacuzzi bathtub. Upstairs in the loft is the ideal getaway for a couple or family to feel up in the trees with a king bed and trundle twin bed. Located right off the kitchen is the third bedroom with a queen bed and twin bunk beds, perfect for a couple or all the kids. LIVING: The open concept living and dining room has a massive couch that can hold everyone staying, large Samsung Frame TV, wood burning fireplace, and long dining table that can hold up to 8 people. KITCHEN: The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you need to cook an amazing dinner. From dishes, cups, wine glasses, silverware, bakeware, cookware, basic appliances, olive oil, salt and pepper, and spices, you will be ready to start cooking from the moment you arrive. The kitchen also has a bar counter top on the island with seating for 4 and small breakfast table with seating for 6 to enjoy a nice morning breakfast. OUTDOORS: In the large front yard there is plenty of space for yard games and running around, with a fire-pit ready for roasting s'mores. The fenced in backyard is perfect for relaxation with a lounge set, dining table, and the star of the show, a brand new as of Summer 2025 6 person hot tub open year round. If you're staying during June, look out for the Mulberry Tree in the Backyard and feel free to pick and eat some. PARKING: In the front of the house is a long drive way that has parking spaces for 3 cars; two in the parking area and one in front of the garage. EV CHARGER: We have a Level 2 Enel X Juicebox 40-amp electric vehicle charger with a J1772 plug available for use during your stay. It also has a small, shaded deck on the main floor, with a table and 2 chairs, a perfect spot for breakfast. The upper deck is great for laying out in the sun (it faces east for the morning, rising sun), or relaxing at night. The coffee maker is a Keurig that has a single cup option and a full pot option. We stock ground coffee for our guests but feel free to bring your own and you will need to bring your own K-cups. The interior accommodations are brand new as well. No boats or trailers are to be parked at our rental properties. Tents of any kind are not allowed. There is parking for 3 cars in front of cottage. Do not park in the garage. 4.) Do not move the furniture. 5.) Each cottage has a maximum number of guests that is listed on this contract you must verify that it is correct. That number is not to be exceeded - this includes children and adults. For fire safety, we are required to limit the number in each home. If additional people are found to be staying at the cottage the entire group will be asked to vacate with no refund. Inflatable mattresses or alternative sleeping other than pack n plays or cribs are not allowed.  6.) A dog is permitted with written approval and payment of pet fee. No more than 1 dog not over 75 pounds. Pets must not be left unattended at anytime. Repetitive barking will lead to early departure without refund. If a pet is on the property without permission then there will be a $500 fee and it will be required that the owner board the pet immediately. You are required to pick up after your pet.  7.) Damages are to be reported during your stay. Weddings and formal events are NOT permitted on our properties, if there is found to be a formal event on the property the entire group will be asked to vacate the property with a no refund.
