The dining room has a large open window to take in the views and the farmhouse table has bench seating on both sides (easily accommodates 8-10 people). The living area connecting to the kitchen provides sectional seating and a 65" LED Smart TV. There are games, puzzles, and toys provided for family members of all ages to enjoy. There is a full-sized highchair, and a rubber booster seat provided to assist younger family members in enjoying mealtime. On the lower floor, along with the three bedrooms, there is a second family room with 65" LED Smart TV and a wet bar with mini fridge. There is a convertible sofa (full sized mattress) in this room if needed. The side door - coming up from pool - leads you through the laundry room and to the half-bath. Perhaps the best feature of this plan is the outdoor space off the back of the house overlooking the pool and offering great views of the ocean. The lower deck is perfect for those that wish to get out of the sun and enjoy the ocean breeze while reading a book or snoozing the day away. The front decks off the street-side of the house give visibility to the intracoastal waterway. A crow’s nest gives vacationers great views of the Holden Beach bridge, boats on the waterway, and some amazing Atlantic Ocean sunsets. After a morning at the beach everyone will love the large private pool (14x30) to cool off. The large wooden deck is perfect for sunbathing or just hanging out by the pool. The custom-built tiki bar has a sink and mini-fridge, and the hot tub is a great place to relax after dinner in the moonlight. An outdoor shower with hot and cold water is also located in the back. There will be a minimum of 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and hand soap. 1 roll of paper towels, dish soap, several dishwasher pods, laundry detergent/pods, trash bags and cleaning products provided. Extra coffee maker is located under wet bar sink. Extra blankets and pillows are located in each bedroom closet. Fire extinguishers, blanket and first aid kit provided. From the Holden Beach Town Website: All tents must be taken down on Holden Beach, NC, by 6:00 PM nightly. All beach equipment, including tents, must be removed from the beach strand between 6:00 PM and 7:00 AM. If these items are left on the beach during that time, they will be considered abandoned and disposed of by the town. Guests may want to bring their own beach chairs , beach/pool towels, and items to ensure there is enough for each guests. Guests are welcome to use any beach/pool essentials/items that are at the home. After use, make sure the sand is rinsed off items and they are stored back in outdoor shower. Kid beach/pool toys are stored in storage bench in front of the outdoor shower. Pool is NOT heated! Make sure all pool umbrellas are down if it gets too windy and during the night. In addition make sure pool gate/shower door/doors to home stay closed at all times. Please store all pool items/floats in outdoor shower. Pool will be cleaned on Saturdays and Tuesdays or Wednesday. There are 2 charcoal grills provided in designated grilling/lounge area. Guests are responsible for supplying charcoal. Absolutely NO grilling on decking or underneath house. Secure grill covers while using and cover back before check-out. Fire extinguisher and fire blanket are underneath kitchen sink & downstairs hallway closet. First-aid kit is located in cabinet at wet bar. Please make sure that outside lights underneath home, pool/decks & music are turned off 10pm-8am. We can park at least 4-6 cars in the double driveway at the house and public beach parking is paid by an app — see signs but quick walk from the house for free ! Holden Beach and this home provided everything we were looking for in a family vacation spot. The sweeping ocean views provided by the home, private beach access, elevator, backyard pool, and immaculately maintained coastal interior will make you feel as if you have found your new favorite place on earth. The space The Scotch Bonnet is everything you want in a family vacation home on the beach. Sitting in the swing on the porch you feel like you are Ocean Front. The ground floor provides easy access to the backyard pool which is equipped with pool floats and water toys, a surfboard bar, outdoor grill, and plenty of comfortable pool side seating. The house may be entered from the ground level by interior or exterior stairs and/or elevator providing for easy access from the beach or pool. Upon entering the 1st floor, guests will immediately notice the attention to detail in every space. This home was designed to be a true home away from home and is well loved. The main floor boasts 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms (2 King Beds, 1 Queen bed) as well as a full laundry area. The Scotch Bonnet is located a short distance to the Holden Beach bridge, but far enough away to avoid the traffic. Ice cream, coffee, Intracoastal, tennis/pickleball courts, concerts in the park, turtle watch programs, weekly tie-die shirts for kids/adults, boat/kayak launch are all within walking distance of the home. Additionally a biking/walking path runs most of the island and is located directly in front of the house on Ocean Blvd. There are several local boutiques and surf shops that we frequent. Most of these are located just across the bridge. We recommend checking out Provision Co., Mankins, The Scoop, Mermaid's, Patronie's, Inlet View in Shalotte or Lou Lou's for local eats. Saltwater Shanty and Beaches n' Cream are our choice for local ice cream. There are also several businesses that provide fresh caught seafood and vegetables if you choose to eat in for the night. Lockwood Folly County Club nearby offers golf for the golfers in the family. Additionally, Shallote is only 15 minutes a way and offers several good restaurants and a local arcade/bowling alley. Calabash and Southport are only 30 minutes away by car with many food and shopping choices in quaint beautiful coastal environments. Myrtle Beach and Wilmington are an approximate 45 minute drive. Finally, beach walks always provide sea treasures on Holden and are a favorite activity of our family. Don't forget to leave a message in the mailbox on either the east or west end. Please keep in mind that the heater only runs when the pool pump is running and typically the pump does not run at night due to time schedule. *Please note, pools will NOT be heated November 1 - March 31*. If you want us to attempt to heat the pool during this time we can for a cost of $75 per day for your entire stay, but once again, we cannot guarantee the pool water temperatures due to the dependency of the weather and air temperatures. The pool and/or spa is private and unattended, so swim at your own risk. All children must be supervised in the water at all times by an adult. No food, drinks, alcohol, glass, etc are allowed in or around the pool. Pools are serviced regularly, however please keep in mind that due to the tropical nature of the island, it is not unusual to find unexpected debris and sand in the pool. The kitchen offers a double oven, a toaster oven, and both a traditional drip coffee maker and a Keurig for coffee drinkers. There is bar seating for 4 at the kitchen peninsula and seating for 5 at the dining table which offers ocean views from the large windows.  There are two living areas, the main space offers a 2 couches and a chaise lounge chair for everyone to gather together around and relax, play games, or watch TV on the flat screen. The second living area has a comfortable chaise lounge and a flat-screen TV and access to the patio. On the top level, there is a private reading/writing nook with a desk. Please keep in mind that the heater only runs when the pool pump is running and typically the pump does not run at night due to time schedule.  *Please note, pools will NOT be heated November 1 - March 31*. The first bathroom is also located in this room and is equipped with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom is across from the first bedroom.
