Lake life plus wooded privacy! Get the best of both worlds! Big Twin Lodge sits on the bank of Lake Louie (aka Louie’s Pond) on 6 private wooded acres. And just across the street, guests enjoy a slice of beach and a dock on Big Twin Lake. One mile up the road, access a network of ORV trails. Our 1973 built home sleeps 10. Three and 1/2 baths means no waiting! Large, well-stocked kitchen. Spacious rooms for gatherings, and lots of quiet nooks for peace and quiet. Laundry on premises. The space (Read photo descriptions for more details.) Our home is two story, with a walkout basement. It is 3000 sq. ft., carpeted and cozy! The entire south side of the home, facing Louie's Pond is equipped with screened, 3-season and 4-season porches - 700 Sq Ft in all! There are several large gathering areas, and many small nooks and spots to get away for some solitude. The kitchen is in the center of the home and open to one eating and sitting area. The table here expands to seat 8 or more people. Adjacent to the kitchen there is access to the upstairs 3-season porch. Three tables and numerous chairs make this a great spot for casual meals and family games. There is a whole wall of windows looking out over Louie's Pond and the mature forest that surrounds the home. Just off this porch is a screen porch replete with swing! To the right of the kitchen, there is a large formal living and dining room. Dining table has several leaves to accommodate large groups. Living room is arranged for conversation and for TV watching on our new 50 inch smart TV. The entire room has door walls and floor to ceiling windows on three sides, so you will feel like you're immersed in the woods all around the home! Gorgeous views await you regardless of what time of year you visit! On the left (east) end of the home is the master suite, with library (with sofa bed) and the upstairs master bedroom/bathroom. The master bedroom has a brand new king bed, and its own 4-seasons (that means heated for year round use!) porch. You'll feel like you're perched in a tree house as you sip your morning coffee and enjoy the panoramic views! Downstairs (walkout basement level) there is a second master bedroom, also with a brand new king bed. It has an en-suite bathroom with tub/shower combo. Around the corner is the third bedroom with a queen size bed with memory foam mattress and adjustable head. The bathroom for this bedroom is just around the corner in the hall. This third bathroom has a shower stall (no tub). There is a separate family room downstairs where you can kick your feet up, play some games, and be a little rowdier. There's even a piano! The kids may want to bring their video game consoles to hook up to the Roku-enabled TV in this family room. There is also a sofa-bed in this room. Beyond the family room, running the length of the house on the south side, there is another very large 3-season porch that we have converted into a sleeping porch! While this won't be useful in the coldest months (it's NOT HEATED), it will be the favorite place to sleep for 4 lucky people, spring though fall. In the warmest months, sleep with just the screen doors closed and let the crickets serenade you to sleep! (Is this what they call "glamping?") This porch has two twin beds on one end, a double bed on the other, and a lovely seating area in the middle. (Please note - this room lacks privacy, both from the family room and from the outside. However, our location is such that neighbors won't be a privacy issue. When sleeping here is too cold, there are two sofa beds indoors to accommodate these guests.) Also downstairs is a downright dreamy laundry room! Large washer and dryer are available for you to use, and there are two work tables where you can fold, sort, store your beachwear in the summer and your snow gear in the winter. There’s also an extra refrigerator for overflow or beverages. Guests also have access to our 1 car garage, which gives easy access in any weather to the house via a covered porch. Our newly widened circle drive accommodates your ORV trailers and makes getting in and out a breeze. Park your ORVs in our garage if you like, because you can just ride them down the road to access miles and miles of trails! Aside from the home, guests get access to a private slice of beach on Big Twin Lake which is just across the street from the house. Its just a short walk, or if you prefer to drive, there is room to park your car there. A boardwalk takes you to the beach where you have access to a boat dock (public launch about 2 miles away), two kayaks, picnic table, chairs, storage shed for beach gear, and a lovely private section of the beach. Guest access Any areas that are off limits are locked, so guests can roam the home freely. Our garage is available for parking 1 car, and is attached to the house via a covered porch. The home is on 6 wooded acres that guests are free to explore. (Boundaries are laid out in guest book at the home.) A short walk down the driveway and across the street leads guests to their private slice of the beach on Big Twin Lake. Guests share the boat dock there, and have access to two kayaks and one parking spot if needed. Other things to note ~Nightly pricing is for 10 guests. The ultra clear lake is down 75 steps and a hill on the property. The Lodge is equipped with everything you need to make you feel right at home. . A large dock, fire pit, picnic table and patio furniture will meet all your outdoor needs. The Lodge is stocked with games and puzzles for all your family fun. The space We are located on the AMAZING Bear Lake in Kalkaska MI! This allows for great fishing, boating, kayaking and swimming. We are within a 1/2 mile of endless ATV and snowmobile trails. We offer plenty of parking for multiple vehicles and trailer. The Lodge also has a 30 amp breaker for your RV if needed. In the spring and summer we offer kayaks as part of the rental and you are welcome to upgrade to use a 20' pontoon boat that we will have ready and docked for you! There is also a fire pit and grill onsite to help enjoy being outside in the summer. Jump on your side by side or quad to ride through the nearby trails. You will not even have to load them up to get to the trailhead as there is access in our neighborhood Come during the fall to enjoy the unbelievable color! You can warm up around an outdoor fire or use the woodstove in the living room. In the winter there are endless options to have fun! If snowmobiling is not your thing there are countless hills to sled down, you could go ice fishing or just curl up by the fire and play a game! Enjoy our cozy cabin that is 300 feet (shared access) from All Sports Manistee Lake. Sands Park is just a short walk down the road with a beach, playground, boat launch & pavilion. All seasons fun with miles of ORV trails to ride on near by. Perfect location for day trips around northern Michigan, or just relax on beautiful Manistee Lake. The space Cabin has 250 feet of main living space. Need to be able to walk up steps. Cabin has a TV and DVD player but no cable or satellite service. Cell phone reception is generally quite good in this area (except T-Mobile) We have a deck outside with a table and chairs and a fire ring with camp chairs for evenings around the fire. Guest access Whole cabin to yourself, yard, shared private lake access and public park/beach. Other things to note We have a dog cable and food and water bowls for pets.

Our log cottage on beautiful Blue Lake in Kalkaska County Mi is a wonderful place to stay. If you like peace and quiet this is the place for you. You will hear the loons calling through out the day. The cottage sits on 100' of lake frontage. Blue Lake is an all sports lake that also connects to two other lakes-North Blue to the North and Little Blue to the South. ATV trails and snowmobile trails are just down the road from the cottage. The area also has many golf courses, wineries, and casinos. The space Our Log Cottage on Blue Lake is a very quaint cottage. From the minute you enter the entryway you will love the beautiful log details through out the cottage. The cottage is very clean and every room pretty much has a view of Blue Lake. Provides a great setting for 2 families, an extended family, or a large group (with perhaps men in 1 cabin and women in the other) to come together as a common group, but still have some private space! The space THE SPACE: Each cabin has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a living room. Thus, between the 2 cabins there are 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and sleeping space for up to 11 adults (6 at Forrest's Cabin and 5 at Vivian's Cabin). Other things to note PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: 1) NO AIR CONDITIONING: Please note that the property does NOT have air conditioning. You will need to ride the power line to Mancelona to get to the main trail. A person (resident and nonresident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. The trail permit enables snowmobilers to ride state-designated trails and thousands more miles of public roads and on public lands (where authorized). It is valid for one year, which begins Oct. 1 and ends Sept. 30 of the following year. State-designated trails are open Dec. 1-March 31 and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground.   Space: There are 2 buildings: The Main Lake house and the Bunk house.  Televisions: There is a 40” TV in the bunk house and a 43” flat in main home. Both televisions are Smart TVs. You can sign in to your Netflix or Hulu account and enjoy your favorite shows and movies. This is truly an amazing vacation rental property as it is an incredible combination of being in nature while still staying in very beautiful, modern, and comfortable accommodations. The space THE SPACE: This vacation rental home is situated on 13.5 private acres of jack pine forest in northern Michigan. The property extends to Goose Creek, which is a beautiful, serene, and slow-moving creek that eventually flows into the Manistee River. The creek is great for kayaking and canoeing and the slow speed of the water allows guests to easily paddle either upstream or downstream on the creek. Don't have a canoe or kayak? Four adult kayaks, a child's kayak, and a canoe are included with the rental! The kayaks and canoe are located at a private deck on Goose Creek that is on the property and the kayaks and canoe can be easily moved in and out of the water using the deck. There are also three-quarters of a mile of private trails on the property for hiking, ATV riding, and/or snowmobiling! In addition to the private trails on the property, the vacation lodge is located close to a wide variety of public hiking, ATV, and snowmobiling trails in the area. In terms of the vacation lodge itself, it features three bedrooms (two on the second floor and one on the first floor), two full bathrooms (one on each floor), two living rooms (one on each floor), a gorgeous kitchen, a dining area, and a covered carport. The lodge also has a second story deck that faces Goose Creek and a first floor patio below the deck, also facing Goose Creek. There is a high-end gas grill on the second floor deck along with a fire table and outdoor dining! There is a picnic table on the first floor patio. The lodge also includes two outdoor fire hearths for having outdoor fires with s'mores! (Note that jack pines are particularly susceptible to forest fires, so outdoor fires are only permitted in the outdoor fire hearths that are provided.) Inside the vacation lodge, the lodge has modern amenities to provide wonderful comfort year-round while relaxing in the beautiful nature of northern Michigan. The lodge has a gas forced-air furnace for staying warm in the winter as well as central air-conditioning for staying cool in the summer. The home has satellite Wi-Fi and on both floors there are smart televisions with streaming. The kitchen is very modern and includes an electric range, refrigerator, microwave, and a dishwasher. There is also a laundry room with a washer and dryer. The vacation home is beautifully decorated throughout with a lovely nature theme. Most of the living space, including the kitchen, is on the second floor. The property then went up for sale and was not available for rent for several months. Grill out & enjoy a bonfire with friends at this wooded vacation home located in the Lakes of the North Vacation Community! The cabin is a few minutes walk from state land, ORV trails, and the NCT Hiking Trail. Bellaire, torch lake & Gaylord are 30 minutes drive for any activities, shopping, and items you may need. Well behaved dogs are welcome also ($35 fee). The space The home has 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and a small workspace with a desk and computer chair. The 2nd room has a full bed and the last room has 1 twin bunk bed. Between the 2 guests rooms is a small jack and Jill bathroom with a door leading to to each room. The living room TV has access to Netflix and prime video for guests to use. The speakers in the living room also have a blue tooth adaptor, just pair your device and enjoy! Guests can find Adirondack chairs and tables on the deck to enjoy your morning coffee or hangout while grilling dinner in the summer sun :) For the fur babies, I keep 1 cable leash attached to the front porch near the steps so our pups can hang out with us without the risk of wandering. The back yard is also fenced to let the pups wander about and do their business. All basics items left at the home are available for guest use. My goal is for you to feel like you are walking into your own cabin! Items available: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair spray, hair dryer, flat iron, curling iron, bug spray, sunscreen, band aids, first aid cream, coffee, ketchup, mustard, foil, plastic baggies, tupperware, all cookware, grill utensils, crockpot, griddle, waffle maker, and so much more. If a guest uses the last of something I ask them to please let me know so I can plan to re-stock. That being said, sometimes guests forget to let me know so it may take a few weeks to be notified and re-stock certain items (this rarely happens with the help of my cleaner checking as well, but it can) . Plan to bring the items that are very important for your stay and if you forget, know there will most likely be something available for you. Window AC units and grill will be guaranteed between Labor Day and Memorial Day. Outside of that timeframe, these items may be available depending on the forecast for spring and fall months. A guest is welcome to request the items for spring and fall and I will accommodate if I am able. Guests can request a guest pass to access the beach and clubhouse to use the pool and hot tub for $6 per person per visit. Guests can pay at the clubhouse when they visit and all guests over the age of 18 must bring a valid ID to enter. Here there is an easement to the lake, shared with their neighbors. You will need to walk on the grass, between 2 other homes. There is no sandy beach area on this side of the lake.   For your own boat, there is a public boat launch at Sands Park (2.8 miles, on southwestern side of lake.) This is a beautiful, family and dog-friendly chalet on wonderfully pristine Cub Lake between Kalkaska and Grayling. The home features a huge multi-level deck with lakeview and a new year-round spa / hot tub on the deck with a view of the lake. Also includes private lakefront with a dock, raft, bonfire ring with chairs, 4 kayaks, 3 paddleboards, a canoe, and a pedal boat! Works both as a great family or small group vacation home as well as a wonderfully romantic getaway for couples! The space THE SPACE: In summary, this is a family-friendly property in a very quiet and family-friendly neighborhood. It is meant for QUIET enjoyment of the home and its environment. If you are looking for a place to party and/or you anticipate being loud during your stay, we kindly ask that you book elsewhere. Inside, the home is filled with beautiful original artwork created by the property owner. The chalet has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and sleeps up to 10 people. (We only permit a maximum of 6 adults though.) Three of the bedrooms have queen-size beds and the largest of the 4 bedrooms is set-up with 3 twin-size beds. One of the bedrooms is on the first floor and the other 3 bedrooms are on the second floor. There is a bathroom on each floor. The cottage does not have air-conditioning, but all of the bedrooms have fans in them. The cottage has a nice cozy living room with a large flat-screen television and a wood fireplace. There is a cute kitchen which is fully stocked with a good supply of cooking and dining utensils, which are all available for guests to use. There is a small laundry area with a top load washer and dryer near the kitchen. The cottage also has a cute dining area (next to the kitchen and living room), with a dining table and seating for 6 people. The vacation home is beautifully designed around Cub Lake, with the living room, dining room, and two of the four bedrooms all having views of the lake. Two of the cottage's bedrooms open up to a lovely second floor balcony that has a wonderful view of Cub Lake. The home also has super-fast high-speed Wi-Fi from Spectrum with up to 1000 Mbps speed! There are 5 televisions in the home, with each bedroom having its own television. All of the televisions are equipped with live-streaming from Roku that includes Hulu live-streaming, Pureflix, Netflix, and Disney+. The home has its own well for water, but it does have a water softener that softens all of the water. Outside, the home has a huge multi-level deck with a nice view of Cub Lake and lots of seating and space for outdoor dining. There is a GORGEOUS NEW 4-PERSON HOT TUB / SPA on the deck that has its own view of the lake and is available for use year-round. There is also a gas grill and a picnic table on the deck. Cub Lake is a "no wake lake". Pontoon boats and small fishing boats are allowed, but other motorized boats are not. Jet skis are explicitly prohibited. This makes the lake particularly great for kayaking and paddleboarding! As previously mentioned, the chalet has its own private lakefront with a dock, raft, 4 kayaks, 3 paddleboards, a canoe, and a pedal boat, all of which are available for guests to use! Guests are also very welcome to bring their own pontoon boat and/or non-motorized watercraft and use the property's boat dock for mooring. Cub Lake is great for kayaking and canoeing and there are also bass, bluegill, and perch in the lake for fishing. There is also a very nice fire ring with chairs on the private beach for having bonfires and s'mores on the beach. In the winter, Cub Hill is great for sledding with kids and adults being able to sled from the deck down to Cub Lake on the hill. Please note that sledding at the property can be quite dangerous though, so please follow the rules for sledding that are included with this listing. Guest access ACCESS: Guests have full access to the entire house. The only space that is locked off for storage of the owners' property is the garage. Other things to note PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: 1) TRASH AND RECYCLING: There is a "bear-proof" container for trash at the property. It is along the main road. Trash pick-up is usually on Tuesdays. Please note that there are bears in the area, so precautions with trash must be taken. Do not leave any trash outside unless it is in the container by the road. Also, to avoid mess and smell, only use large, strong, black bags for trash. Please only put tied bags of trash in the container since loose trash will not be picked up by the trash company. For recycling, please take any recycling to the nearby recycling bins at the Bear Lake Township Community Center near the intersection of Bear Lake Road and M72. 2) GARAGE: The chalet does have a detached garage, but this is not available for guest usage. 3) DRIVEWAY: The end of the driveway is marked with reflective stakes. Please do not drive past the reflective stakes as the drain field for the property is located just past the stakes. 4) AIR CONDITIONING: Please note that the property does NOT have air conditioning. Guests are allowed to sled on the hill AT THEIR OWN RISK. * Do not sled on the hill AT ALL If the hill is icy or excessively fast. * Do not sled on the hill unless the lake is fully frozen. * You must wear a helmet while sledding. * Ride your sled only in a seated position. DO NOT SLIDE DOWN THE HILL HEAD FIRST! 8) PET RULES: * We allow up to 3 dogs. More than 3 dogs is strictly prohibited. * Pets other than dogs are also strictly prohibited. * Dogs must be on a leash at all times when outside. They are also not permitted on the property of any of the neighbors. * You must clean up any pet waste. * If you are bringing 1 to 3 dogs, please make certain that the dogs are included on the reservation and that the pet fee is appropriately paid accordingly. 9) RULES FOR FIREPLACE: * There is a wood fireplace in the living room that guests are welcome to use. * Please make certain that the flume is open while using the fireplace so that smoke goes up the chimney appropriately. * We do not provide firewood. * Please only burn firewood in the fireplace. Do not burn any paper, plastic, trash, glass, or metal in the fireplace. 10) RULES FOR BONFIRES: * Do not have bonfires if there are any kind of fire warnings for the area. * Please make certain that any bonfires are fully extinguished WITH LOTS OF WATER FROM THE LAKE before leaving the area. * Do not move the bonfire ring to another location. * Before having a bonfire, please check the state map on Michigan's DNR website to see if fires are currently allowed or not. Only have a bonfire if they are currently permitted in the area. * Do not leave trash in the bonfire ring 11) RULES FOR DOCK, RAFT, AND WATERCRAFT: * Do not misuse the watercraft or horseplay with any of the watercraft. * Do not run on the dock. * There is no diving from the dock or from the raft (i.e. do not go into the water headfirst from the dock or the raft). * Do not transport any of the watercraft to any other location other than Cub Lake. 12) AGE REQUIREMENT: All guests must be at least 25 years old or accompanied by a parent / guardian. 13) MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: We allow a maximum of 6 adults. Including children, a maximum of 10 people are allowed. 14) WATER HEATER / WATER SOFTENER: The water heater and water softener are located in the closet of the first floor bedroom. Thus, the closet of the first floor bedroom is basically not available for use. The water softener and water heater can both make noises while they are running and this may occur during the nighttime hours, so light sleepers would probably prefer one of the upstairs bedrooms. (As an alternative, the pedestal fan in the first floor bedroom can be used as white noise to block the sounds from the water heater and water softener.)

Very large, cozy cottage on Little Twin Lake, which is one of the cleanest/clearest lakes in Michigan! The property is situated on a large wooded lot (over 1 acre). Located only 30-40 minutes from Traverse City, Boyne Mountain Resort, and Gaylord. 20 minutes from Torch Lake and Bellaire. 15 minutes from Shanty Creek Golf and Ski Resort. The location is great for 4 seasons of outdoor fun. The cottage includes a huge deck overlooking the lake, a large dock, 5 kayaks, a rowboat, and a pedal boat! The space Although very large, the cottage is cozy and traditional in style. It comfortably accommodates large groups of family and friends. The first floor has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (both of the main floor bedrooms have their own attached full bathrooms). The second floor has 3 bedrooms and a full bathroom. All beds (memory foam) and bedding are fairly new. Property also includes high-speed WiFi, 3 live streaming TVs, horseshoe pits, cornhole, basketball hoop, and an EV charger. Note: Maximum of 10 adults allowed. Maximum of 15 people including children. There are no personal items or clutter in the cottage, yet there are several amenities for guests to use during their stay, including: All bedding, plush bathing towels, shampoo and conditioner, body wash, beach towels, water cooler, dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, 2 pressure cookers, crockpot, blender, griddle, pots and pans, toilet paper, paper towels, BBQ grill and utensils, toaster, microwave, Keurig coffee maker and K-cups, dog bed, dog kennel, etc. The cottage is heated with central forced air heating and has central air conditioning. Bedrooms #1, #2, #3, and #4 have ceiling fans. Guest access Guest have access to the entire cottage, with exception of two private closets. There is a large garage/barn by the road that is not accessible to guests. The pontoon boat is also off limits. Maximum of 10 adults allowed. Maximum of 15 people including children. Other things to note Little Twin Lake is a no-wake lake, which means watercrafts can have motors, but they cannot travel at high speeds that will create a wake. Big Twin Lake across the street is an all-sports lake. Both lakes have a public boat launch. The WiFi is super fast and reliable. There is a whole-house automatic generator, so a loss of power in the area will not impact your electricity needs. There is a water cooler, but you must supply your own water jugs (5 gallon max). Common with cottages, many neighbors sleep with the windows open and sounds carry very loudly in the lake area. Please help keep everyone’s experience a pleasant one by obeying the quiet hours (10:00 pm - 8:00 am). There are several golf courses in the area. Too many to list! Also, not far from several wineries! The cottage is in Michigan's snowbelt, which means the winter months are great for skiing and snowmobiling. Ski resorts in the area include Shanty Creek/Schuss Mountain, Boyne Mountain, and Crystal Mountain. The trailhead for snowmobiling is within a mile of the cottage. The area is beautiful for fall color tours and also great for birding and morel mushroom hunting in the spring!
