In the summer, play golf at the Resort on the Mountain golf course, hike or mountain bike on many trails around Mount Hood and along the Sandy and Zigzag river, fish the Sandy river, or drive up to Ski Bowl for their summer adventure park with zip lining, bungee jumping, and a summer bobsled.STR1016-24 The space This 5-bedroom house is set up with 2 King Beds, 2 Queen Beds, and a set of Full Bunk Beds and a Set of Twin Bunk Beds. The master bedroom has a spacious en suite and gas fireplace. Two full bathrooms are accessible from the hallways. The following rooms are on the main level: King master bedroom with bath, Queen Bedroom, and Queen Bedroom. The second floor has two bedrooms one with a King bed and a second with 2 Sets of Bunk Beds (twin and full) and a loft. The common area has high ceilings with large windows and an open floor plan that lends itself well to cooking and entertaining. The kitchen is spacious and well-stocked. An easy-to-use gas fireplace adds ambiance to the living room. The large TV above the fireplace offers cable, and Netflix can be accessed if guests want to use their personal accounts. High-speed internet is available. Upstairs, kids can play on the foosball table or use board games from the game closet. There are Smart TV's in all of the bedroons. The laundry room has a full-sized washer and dryer, iron, and ironing board. While the house sits in a neighborhood, the backyard looks into a forested greenspace, so it offers privacy. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house, backyard, and hot tub, except for two locked closets in the house and a locked shed in the garage. Our house is in a neighborhood, and our immediate neighbors are all very nice and understand what draws people to the area. They are willing to share their peaceful neighborhood with vacationers. We know this because Clackamas County recently held meetings to determine the regulation of vacation homes in this area. The future of being able to continue to rent vacation homes depends on the ability of vacationers to coexist with full term inhabitants. As such, your friendliness and following of these rules is appreciated: · Quiet hours are 10 pm to 8 am. If you are playing music past that time, please step outside to listen to see if it is too loud for others. · All cars must be parked in the garage or driveway. It should be possible to get 2 cars inside the garage and 4 cars in the driveway in front of the garage. Other rules: · No smoking in the house or garage. Please dispose of cigarette butts safely and appropriately. · The firepit in the backyard may be used only during permitted seasons. In the summer, it is often too dry and dangerous to burn, given the greenspace behind the house. · Dogs are permitted -$50 / dog. Limit of 2 dogs · If anything breaks, please let us know right away. · If anything spills and you aren’t able to clean it up, please contact us right away. There is carpet cleaner spray under the kitchen sink. · No confetti is allowed. It is too time-consuming to clean up. · Extra cleanings, such as having to clean up food and drink spills, marks on walls, carpet cleaning due to stains, etc., will be charged at $50/hour. · Only the number of guests registered is allowed at the house; having more guests will result in being asked to leave without a refund. This is NOT a party house. Note about Covid 19: The safety of our guests is our first priority, so we have made some changes related to Covid. We are no longer booking back-to-back reservations and are performing extra cleaning measures as listed below. We have made numerous exceptions and full refunds related to Covid, but Airbnb has become increasingly difficult to deal with. But to tell you a little bit about the cabin, it has all the essentials a mountain cabin needs: a big river rock fireplace inside, a large covered deck that wraps around the cabin and outdoor fireplace, big French doors that join the living room and outdoors together (during warm weather, of course) and a big spacious upstairs shower, plus a relaxing clawfoot tub for soaking in the downstairs bath. Although it is a "cabin" our cabin combines ambience with convenience. The fireplace provides the cabin feel, but just turn up the furnace and you'll be warm in no time. The open kitchen has a gas range, an icemaker in the fridge, and a dishwasher. It is also well-stocked with amenities so you don't have to bring them. The cabin is nestled in the woods for privacy and has beautiful river or wooded views out all windows. The property abuts the river, but sits up on an upper terrace, providing a little margin of safety for kids. We hope you'll come be our guests and enjoy this beautiful wooded gem as much as we do! The entire cabin will be yours so you'll have it all at your disposal. So make yourself at home. And if any problems arise, we are just a phone call, text or e-mail away if. This is a quiet wooded riverside neighborhood of old and new cabins, not a gated community. It is very private and feels miles away. But follow the path up the river and you'll be at some great restaurants, a coffee shop and bars in just a short walk. It is about an hour's drive from Portland but in the middle of a myriad of recreation options. Skiing is 15 minutes away, 20 if you choose Timberline Lodge where you can ski year round on the Palmer Glacier, or 30 minutes to Mt. Hood Meadows. Fishing, hiking, and biking are just a few minutes away as is an 18-hole golf course. The cabin sleeps 12 based on 2 per bed in each of the four bedrooms and 4 in the bunks. Note that the bunks are listed as a 5th bedroom as people get confused by the listing, but the loft is open to the living room, so can be noisy if you party by the fireplace until the wee hours. We find that more than 8 adults can get crowded, with room for only 10 comfortably around the dining table. So we suggest limiting your party to 8 adults and 4 kids, although you are welcome to have 12 adults if you don't mind sleeping in bunk beds. They are very nice custom built bunk beds that can fit an average adult (our teenagers always sleep in the bunks instead of beds when they have friends over), but they are really intended for kids. Guest access The whole cabin and surrounding 3 acres of woods is all yours. Other things to note We will send you a rental agreement that we ask you agree to prior to your stay. We will need your personal e-mail address so we can send the agreement to you, so please provide that to us when we request it. The internet connection is via Dish and can be slow. You can check e-mails and connect to the web, but downloading large files takes a long time and don't plan on streaming any movies or playing on-line games. Although we hope you'll be out hiking or skiing instead of surfing the web anyway:). We have a television with DVD/Blu-Ray player for watching movies, but it is not connected to television service. Minutes away from restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and the local grocery store. Up to two pets are allowed for a minimal fee. Relax and unwind with friends and family! The space Our home offers an open main living area with five total bedrooms. The primary bedroom (King) is upstairs with an en suite bathroom. Two smaller bedrooms upstairs include one with a full/double bed and one with a full/double, a twin, and a trundle twin. There is also a rollaway twin. There are a two bedrooms on the main level: one queen and a small bedroom with a fold out queen futon/sofa bed. A total of two full bathrooms, one with a jacuzzi tub, both with a shower. Pine Bedroom Also, upstairs, the Pine Room is beautiful and relaxing with a queen size bed and windows overlooking the pond and forest. Fir Bedroom The fourth bedroom is our favorite room in the house. This custom “bunk” room has 4 custom bunks each with their own sconce for cozy reading. Each bunk also houses a trundle bed, making this room comfortable to sleep 8 total. There is also two shelves of new children’s books and two leather chairs to enjoy. Upstairs also has a loft with seating area and wet bar. The upstairs also has a full bathroom with tub. The Outdoor Space The main living area opens to a massive concrete patio with large table, bistro table, lounge chair and hammock. Also, on the patio is a large 6-8 person hot tub with guest flip flops all for your use. From here you can take in the beauty of your private view of the forest and pond. A step from the patio will take you to a bonfire and horseshoe area with Adirondack furniture and a large fire pit with surrounding bistro lights. From here you can walk over the bridge to walk the trails to the creeks, treehouse, pond, island swing or dock. There is a small canoe with oars provided for smaller guests. The private pond is stocked with over 300 rainbow trout. Catch and release fishing is permitted if done humanely as they are our pets. Fish are growing, and will fishable by summer! The space This booking includes four separate areas with short outdoor walks between them: the main/front log cabin, the front/main Airstream, the rear ADU with a nearby detached queen suite, and the rear/ADU Airstream. The seven beds are two kings, four queens, and one queen sofa bed. In the main cabin, the queen sleeping nook beside the king loft is separated by a sliding barn door and is not a fully enclosed private bedroom. There is one upstairs window AC unit in the main cabin, not whole-property central cooling. The rear Airstream climate controls and fans are currently under repair and its water system is being re-verified. Guest access The entire compound is private to this booking. Entry uses four labeled static physical-key lockboxes—one for each cabin/ADU and one for each Airstream. The secure guest portal must display all four matching details. The game room has a mini-split unit that provides heating/cooling for the area. An extra fridge/freezer in the allows you to comfortably unpack your coolers and stay awhile! The open concept living area will allow you to relish quality time together weather you are cooking dinner, playing one of the many board games/puzzles provided, reading a book by the fire or watching your favorite movie on the smart TV (with your login). Plenty of cozy blankets and pillows will make you feel right at home. One level living is perfect for all generations from young to "mature"! The primary bedroom is large with a slider that accesses the deck and private en suite bathroom. Bedroom arrangements allow for 10 people in traditional beds (1 king, 2 queens, 1 bunk bed with full below and twin on top, 1 twin trundle bed best for a child or smaller adult) however we will consider 11 people if you choose to use the pack n' play or inflatable queen mattress provided. Due to Clackamas County STR restrictions a 11 person limit will be strictly enforced and violations could result in penalties. Parties/events are not allowed. Enjoy the warmth that the onsite sauna provides at the house but you also have access to the Mt. Hood Oregon Resorts year round heated pool and hot tub that is just minutes down the road. As a guest of The Warming Hut you will be able to access these resort facilities during your stay free of charge as well as tennis, basketball courts, exercise room, playground and putting green. You must check in at the main lobby and show your reservation confirmation to get your free pass. Location is key and you will find yourself able to walk the many paths that lead around the golf course and find yourself catching glimpses of the beautiful Salmon River along the way. We know accidents can happen! - We have taken great care to place furniture- please no moving/rearranging - Please keep electronics like TVs, lamps, etc. plugged in - Normal cleaning is anticipated but excess cleaning that is needed due to spills, stains or neglect will be charge an additional $50/hr. Cleaning supplies are provided should you find yourself with an excess mess. -Winter storms are part of mountain life, and brief power outages may occasionally occur. Guests can stay warm and comfortable with the wood-burning fireplace, plus we provide flashlights and a gas cooktop for added convenience. Our home features an 85 inch Samsung TV, with a large comfortable wrap around couch for seating you and your crew. We have a large farm house table and a smaller desk in the master bedroom, so you can work/stream without any issues with our 1gb blazing fast wifi internet. We have outdoor seating and a bbq for enjoying the back patio. We also have a fully stocked kitchen ready to be used. Not to mention the delicious local restaurants a short drive away. To clarify this is a 4 bedroom home with 7 beds that can each sleep 2 people. Every bedroom (except one) has two beds inside. Please see photos. Guest access Guests have private access to our home.
