The cabin does come with games, there is a pool table, foosball table, and air hockey. The cabin is also in an area that is very close to the Big Bear Village (shops and restaurants), the golf course, the Big Bear Alpine Zoo, and many other sites! We are happy to recommend places as well. • Do you have a barbecue grill? Yes, there is a BBQ grill ·Should we clean the cabin ourselves? The cabin is professionally cleaned after every stay. The cleaning fee that is charged goes directly to the cleaners themselves. • What do we do with dishes and soiled linens? The linens, towels, etc. may be left in the bathtub in the bathroom. Dishes, silverware, etc. need to be cleaned, dried, and put back into the cabinets. There is a $25 fee for any dishes that the cleaners have to wash and put away. • When will I get my security deposit back? Security deposit is handled through Airbnb and is just a hold they place on the card for 48 hours after check out. • How do we get keys to the cabin? Once you have checked in at our office, you will receive a code or lockbox with a key to access the house. The key will be returned to the lockbox when you leave. • When is check-in and check-out? Check-in is 4:00 p.m. on the first night of your rental, and check-out is 10:00 a.m. on the morning following your last night’s rental. A $50/hour charge will be added to any check-outs after 10 am that is not pre-approved. • What if I need to get hold of someone about the cabin? Message us on Airbnb or give us a call. We try to respond immediately to all Airbnb messages. • Does the cabin have stairs? Yes, there are a few steps to get into the cabin. There is also a second level so if you want to go upstairs there is a set of stairs to go up to the second level. Five bedrooms on the main level with kitchen and living room so not necessary to go upstairs unless you want to. • Do I need snow tire chains to get to Big Bear? During the winter months, carrying chains on you is almost always required, unless your car is a four-wheel drive. Storms may be unpredictable, and therefore it helps to have them. Additionally, during the winter months, the CHP may stop you to see if you have them and ticket you if you don’t. You can check chain requirements and road conditions at Caltrans. com. • Thermostat Adjustment: Due to the increased heat load, the fridge’s thermostat may take longer to detect that the interior temperature has risen above the set point. As a result, the cooling system might run longer than usual to bring the temperature back down to the desired level. VISIT LIKE A LOCAL: If you extend your visit beyond the weekend, you will see the large amounts of litter and trash left behind by visitors. Here are some tips to help you and your family preserve our natural playground for the next generation. LEAVE NO TRACE: Simply put, whatever you take into the forest, bring back out including broken sleds. DON'T LITTER: There are dumpsters located at all trail-heads and picnic areas. If a bin is full, find another. Animals will tear bags open and spread trash throughout the forest. KEEP OUR COMMUNITY PET-FRIENDLY: Please remember to keep your dog leashed and always bag your pet’s waste, placing it in a dumpster. Leaving your pet’s waste in a bag on the side of a trail is littering. CONSEQUENCES: Unfortunately, a few of our guests refuse to extend common courtesy and neighborly behavior toward the guests and residents around them. TOWELS: At the end of your stay, please put all your towels by the washing machine. You do not need to wash them, just put them in the laundry room. The CHP will make you turn around and get tire chains if you don’t have them, so it is best if you have them in your vehicle before you leave your house. If you have snow on the driveway or pathway to the house or a berm blocking the driveway, you are responsible for removing the snow yourself during your stay, at arrival or at departure.
