The driveway to the property is very steep, dirt and requires 4 WD. When you first access the driveway and drive down, you will get to an area where you will want to make the switchback turn to the left and then back into the remainder of the driveway. It is a very tight turn around area. There are approx. 70 stairs that lead from where you park in the dead end driveway to walk down to the house. We don't recommend this house for anyone that has difficulty managing stairs or for children to walk down unattended. We want to make sure that all of our guests are aware of this ahead of time as we are unable to refund once you have arrived. We ask kindly that you pick up after your animal including waste.   LINENS & TOWELS Towels, sheets, pillows, and blankets are not meant for outside use.   SMOKING Smoking is not permitted in any NW Hosting property. If there is any tobacco smell in the cabin after your departure, you will be charged a cleaning fee. Oil lamps and incense are not permitted due to the long-lasting odor. If these policies are violated, there will be a charge for excessive cleaning.  PLUMBING Do not put any feminine products in the toilet. Plungers are provided if a clog occurs. Please do not pour grease down the drain.  RIGHT OF ENTRY Guest(s) agree that NW Hosting reserves the right to enter the rental property at any time to investigate disturbances, check occupancy, check for damage, to make such repairs, alterations, or improvements as we may deem appropriate.  SECURITY & SAFETY RISKS Always lock doors and windows when you leave the vacation rental! A truly quintessential Idaho cabin experience The space Enjoy one of the few lake properties with private beach & dock fronting the beautiful northeast section of Lake Coeur d' Alene. Arrive via a scenic lake route, just an easy 10 minute drive from downtown. Built in 1962 as a roadside curio business named the Apache Rock Shop, it transformed in 2018 as a fun four-season vacation rental now known as "Eagle Outpost." Do something different than the typical stay at an average house in a packed residential neighborhood - remember this is amazing north Idaho! Your neck of the woods spans over an acre from road level lake views to 200ft of private access lakefront - all yours to explore. There are no traditional bedrooms, the cabin is around 650 sqft with open sleeping loft, small kitchen and bathroom, then the 200 sqft detached bunkhouse (open by request), and finally 2 RV spaces on a 40x40 level gravel pad- if you have RV's, or choose to rent them. And another two RV's could be parked along the driveway. From late May through September enjoy our awesome water toys - a massive water trampoline, SUP's, two 17ft canoes, solo kayaks, a variety of inflatables, over a dozen lifevests of all sizes, masks and snorkels, fishing poles, and more! Also enjoy the BBQ, firepit, tables and chairs plus umbrellas on the beach. If adventurous, you can use the hard watercraft anytime of year including winter as the lake is deep here and won't freeze, plus the new dock and pier (2023) is designed for all-year use. Like ping pong, airhockey, Foosball, mini-pool and darts?- visit the 10x20 powered game shed for all-year gaming fun. And having ample property, in addition to biking and lake fun, I have a variety of seasonal outdoor games and fun - Frisbee golf, cornhole, horseshoes, tether ball, outdoor sprinklers and a kiddie pool, snowshoes and cross country skis, and other fun stuff as the list keeps growing. In fact if you think of any toys or amenities we don't currently have (ebikes, snowbikes, rental boats, etc) please ask and I'll try to find a way to get them, or at the very least help direct you where to go to rent them. *** PLEASE NOTE that the main cabin bedroom is an open mezzanine. It feels private as guests below can't see you, but take this into consideration if staying with others. And note the size of the cabin, it's 642 sqft with loft but feels more spacious thanks to the open floor plan and soaring ceiling. Also note that guests beyond two persons sharing the main queen bed in cabin loft will need to use the closely spaced but very comfortable twin daybed sofa couches with twin trundles in the living room area, or the seperate bunkhouse that contains a full loft bed, full adjustable massage bed below, a full sofa trundle sleeper and finally a twin futon (for a total of 4 double sleeper and 5 single sleeper beds; also a few single airbeds are available by request as well.) Bunkhouse use does have an added $50 cleaning fee in the off-season. If you have a booking beyond 2 people and want to consider it, please let me know at the time of booking *** IMPORTANT LAKE NOTICE - there is a public road (Coeur d'Alene Lake Dr) between the cabin and lake, and a 80' tall lake embankment with trail before the beach. The pathway is a little steep, including stair sections (70 stairs total, see pics), so please be in average physical condition and watch the little ones if taking advantage of the lake and docks. It's not too bad, I go down it often with family and friends including young and old, just be aware of it. Also CDA Lake Dr can get busy depending on time of day and season, though there is no through traffic as it dead ends less than a mile from the cabin (night traffic is almost non-existant). And no gates installed yet on both sides of the half circular driveway, so watch the kids and any pets during your stay. UNTRAINED PETS not recommended. PET NOTICE - We are dog friendly, but ALL dogs require pre-approval, and come with rules and are subject to a $50 pet fee per dog. ALL other pets please inquire. No cats, sorry :-( For activity lovers, north Idaho is an amazing four season playground for watersports, hiking, biking, atv riding, fishing, gem finding, hunting, skiing, snowmobiling, etc. Down-time activities include a growing list of excellent restaurants (including Tony's on the Lake just walking distance from the cabin!), bars, music venues, coffee houses, and a wide variety of shops. Information buffs can explore the area's rich history in forestry, mining, and transportation via some great local tours and museums. Other major attractions nearby include Silverwood theme park and the year-round Silver Rapids indoor waterpark. The possibilities are endless! The space This beautiful home is on a mountaintop! Serene, relaxing and within 15 minutes of downtown. A gated road provides complete privacy. After the pavement ends, a gravel road with some switchbacks will take you 1.5 miles to your getaway. You are driving on an incline for a view of a lifetime that will make your day! The main house and an apartment area above the shop provides housing for all your guests. Guest access The entire home is for guest use as well as the apartment above the shop. Please note the apartment has a long flight of steps to access it. Other things to note This home requires traveling for 1.5 miles past a privacy gate on a winding, gravel road.

This tiny home shares 5 acres with the owners house. The property borders hundreds of acres of public forest land that include miles of hiking.
