Two restaurants with bars (1 open year round, 1 open in the summer months) and a little local store are within walking distance. We have also created a little local walking scavenger hunt for our guest's enjoyment. The space Tucked away on a no-through road with a yard that has room to relax or play. Escape the heat and enjoy the pines. 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and a loft. The upstairs master bedroom has a California King bed. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed. The loft has a queen over queen bunk bed. THE TOP BUNK OF THE BUNKBED IS LIMITED TO 200 POUNDS. One adult or 2 children would probably work best for that top bunk to stay within the weight limit. The kitchen has a RO faucet for filtered drinking water. And is stocked with a new set of granite pots and pans. Enjoy the bumper pool table, tetherball pole, horseshoe pits, and other games. We recently added a picnic table for outdoor eating and games. There is mostly reliable Wifi and good cell reception. There is a roku, a blue ray player, and a small assortment of DVDs. Enjoy the grill, wood burning stove, and outdoor fire pit responsibly, at your own risk, and with constant adult supervision. Bring your own wood. However, the Christopher Creek General Store, located nearby in walking distance, does carry some basic supplies. We recommend planning your shopping and errands accordingly before you arrive to ensure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Newly renovated 2 bed, 2 bath, 1,100 sq ft log cabin has direct access to Tonto Creek and waterfall for fishing with nearby trails to Tonto National Forest and the Paleo site. Treehouse, disc swing, and crawdad nets perfect for kids 5+. Horseback riding and pony rides available at nearby stable. The space The master bedroom has two queen beds. 2nd bedroom has double bunkbeds. Open concept kitchen and living room. Creekside dining inside or on deck. Creekside yard is perfect for picnics and barbeques. There is a disc swing, hammock, and a log tree house for kids to enjoy. Perfect for couples and families. The cabin is not child proof and children need to be supervised as this property has direct and easy access to the creek and waterfall. Guest access Ample parking. Paths with steps or a steep grade lead to the cabin entrances. Stairs lead down to creek. Not more than 4 people in the tree house at one time. Children need to be supervised when entering and exiting the tree house. Fencing is not continuous on creekside. No pets allowed. The cabin is not accessible during and after a snow storm as the roads leading to the cabin are not maintained and ploughed. your reservation will be cancelled or rescheduled. Host will contact you to cancel without penalty or reschedule. Other things to note This property is right on the Tonto Creek and a waterfall. All children need to be supervised at all times. There is a huge Sycamore tree and large ponderosa trees and uneven grounds. Older guests needs to be mindful of uneven, sloping, and rocky ground. Only steps and creekside yard / BBQ area are lit at night. Everyone needs to watch their step and remain on paths, flat ground and have headlights or flashlights (provided) when walking in the dark.

We also sit directly next to ASU's Camp Tontozona and just down the road from the historic Kohls Ranch Lodge. Nestled behind the lodge is your opportunity for horseback riding. We may be close to so much, but The Nestled Nook is situated deep in the quiet, neighborly community of Kohls Ranch. A community that you may never know existed even if you drove right past it. At the cabin, enjoy the huge oversized deck complete with a fire table for roasting marshmellows or chatting around the fire, two dining tables and two oversized umbrellas. That said, every room in our cabin features a smart TV and both the loft and family room TVs feature a DVD player. We also have over 200 DVD's to choose from when you're ready to wind down for the night or need some rest from exploring. Kitchen features absolutely everything you could need to cook a full home cooked meal as well as a huge oversized refrigerator. Don't want to cook? No problem! We have several restaurants within 5 miles of the cabin! Both bedrooms feature plush Queen Beds with luxurious bedding! All rooms include 4 usb plugs inside the lamps. The loft has either a plush Queen Bed, or Two Cozy Memory Foam Twins beds. Whatever better suites your family's needs! ** Please note, this home sleeps a max of 6 due to our septic capacity. Upstairs loft features its own TV and dvd player, mini pool/foosball/air-hockey table well as several bins with children's toys to keep them busy when its downtime. Entry table comes packed with all the games and cards you could hope for to keep yourselves busy inside during those beautiful afternoon storms. It has an open floor plan for family and friends, especially with two large covered decks to hang out. 15 minutes to the top of the Mogollon Rim, and less than 5 min from hiking trails and Tonto Creek Fish Hatchery. The space This wonderful 980 sqft cabin boasts of paved patio / fire pit with 4 apple trees and beautiful ivy. It is perfect for a family of 6. Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 2 come equipped with Queen Sized beds. Bedroom 3 has a twin / twin bunk bed. There is also a queen size air mattress for your convenience, as well, just in case you bring a few extra people. For larger parties, additional guest can stay directly across the creek at Kohl's Ranch Lodge Resort. This cabin is not associated with the resort. The living room is very spacious and comfortable, which includes 5 reclining couch seats. Every room has its own TV. The outside patio is a great place to eat meals or sit and listen to the creek. The front deck has a chair swing and other seating to relax and experience the stary night sky. Other things to note There is currently a "NO BURN" restriction in the area until further notice. Unfortunately, you are not able to have a camp fire. Thank you for your understanding. The cabin includes a BBQ, fire pit and yard games for your enjoyment. Just 20 min. to Woods Canyon Lake, 15 min. to Willow Springs Lake, infinite hiking trails, lots of fishing locations, nearby villages with quaint restaurants, and stunning views. Ideal location for all Summer & Winter adventures and only 2 hours from Phoenix. Hiking trails are as close as our backyard. Pets: 1 dog max, fee applies. The space The cabin sits on a hill. Our backyard is the hill! The cabin is three stories with the bottom floor having 2 bedrooms, half bathroom, living room, and woodburning stove. The second level has a open space layout with a living room, dining room, one bedroom, full bathroom, and kitchen. The upper level is a loft that has two double beds. Cozy up by the wood burning fireplace in winter or open the doors to the deck in summer. There’s a lower deck with shaded and a top deck with plenty of sun and a hammock to soak it all in. Guest access Guest will have access to the entire property. Other things to note Although a trip to a mountain home is a much needed respite for anyone, please consider the sensitive environment and risks associated with a stay with us. Our back yard has a feeding trail that can have wild animals in the evening that come into town looking for food. Anything from bears, mountain lions, elk, deer, and javelina, among others. The entire neighborhood is susceptible to visits from regional wildlife. It's a natural occurrence to see bugs inside and outside the home. There's no escaping it and we've learned to live with it as part of mountain life. We make every effort to keep the home bug free, but during crazy weather and when the home remains uninhabited for long periods of time, the occasional bug gets in. If you are offended or scared by squirrels, moths, spiders, mice, bats, flies, caterpillars, please do not request to book as you may find these any given day at the property. The cabin sits on a hill so it has steep slopes and lots of steps to access the home. During inclement weather, it's prone to slips and falls. It's not suitable for those with mobility issues. The home is equipped with a woodburning fireplace for heat. Additionally, we provide space heaters and there are two heaters installed on the walls on the second floor. Only responsible adults are to operate the heating devices. Do not allow children to touch the fireplace. It gets extremely hot and burns to the touch. As with any home in a natural forest setting, the inherent risk of wild fires exist. Christopher Creek has been spared of nearby fire spread but frequently, access roads and highways may be closed due to fires. For this reason and to protect the vegetation of the area and neighboring properties, we do not allow any kind of smoking inside or outside the home. We urge guests to exercise responsible use of our BBQ grill and woodburning stove. The home uses state of the art septic system that treats and infiltrates sewage all on-site. Only toilet paper and bodily waste is to be disposed of in toilets. Other items will cause a blockage and wastewater backup into the home. Power outages are common and out of our control. Please do not request to book if this is a risk you are unwilling to take. We are pet friendly but allow only one dog for a fee. Please add to the guest count when reserving. Christopher Creek is a lovely neighborhood that's known for its seclusion and low noise environment. Please be mindful of your noise level and respect our neighbors. We have a great relationship with our neighbors and intend to keep it that way.
