Please note, the closet is locked in this bedroom, but there is plenty of space for clothing storage within the room. This bedroom has a large vaulted ceiling. The third bedroom features a comfortable queen sized bed with plush bedding, a spacious closet for clothing storage, a large west-facing window with mountain views is featured here, as well. This bedroom also has a large vaulted ceiling, with dedicated electric adjustable height work desk and extra monitor. About solar living: We rely on the energy of the sun to heat and power the home. While it’s different than on-the-grid living, it’s surprisingly simple to maintain and enjoy. There are a few things to be aware of, but it won’t greatly impact your stay. In the winter months, guests may want to light a fire in the wood stove at night, but during the day you’ll stay toasty warm thanks to great insulation and radiant floor heating. The dishwasher and washer/dryer should only run during daylight hours in order to maximize energy. Please note that the use of space heaters and high wattage appliances cannot be used. We do supply some high wattage appliances like a small microwave and hair dryer but we ask you keep these items unplugged when not in use and you are mindful not to use the large appliances all at one time. Laptop computers and the like, are a-okay, but you won’t want to use these once you see this view. That's about it. If the house does not have enough solar power, a back-up generator will automatically turn on to help power the home. This house has been an Airbnb for ten years and there has never been an issue! Pretty easy! The water, stove, and radiant floor heating runs on propane. You will have more than enough hot water for showers each day. We do have septic and for how much we love our Charmin, our septic tank does not. No worries, we do supply the cushionier septic safe toilet paper but PLEASE nothing else down the toilet. Everything is within reach here at Mountain Liv'n. Here are a few ideas of what to do while you're here. You'll find a guest book with more options upon your arrival. •Denver is a beautiful 40 minutes drive down I-70. •Skiing and snow adventuring: Vail Resort is one hour and and 20 minutes away, Breckenridge is less than one hour away, Loveland (Fantastic and affordable! Where the locals ski) is a short 25-30 minute drive, and Winter Park is just 30 minutes away. •Echo Lake on Mount Evans is a beautiful 25 minute drive where you and your group can hike and take-in the beautiful mountain setting in the summer or ice skate and sled in the winter. •Take a river or lake fishing trip just a few minutes from the house. •Enjoy world class mountain biking at Virginia Canyon Mountain Park right in Idaho Springs or running from your front door. •Try-out a white water rafting trip down clear creek in the town of Idaho Springs – a quick ten minute drive from the home or a 20 minute mountain bike ride from the house. •The home is located between Idaho Springs and Georgetown - two interesting towns with roots in the mining industry with many attractions and things to explore. •Need a rest from all of that adventuring? Spend a day at Indian Hot Springs or one of the many hot springs nearby. •Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater is 30 minutes away. Finally, explore the amazing Breweries, Cidery, restaurants, shops, waterfall and walking paths in downtown Idaho Springs, under 3 miles down the hill. Ski and outdoor adventuring gear can be rented in town. Cheap lift tickets are also available. Last but not least, we HIGHLY recommend renting an all-wheel drive or four wheel drive vehicle for the months of October through May. Historically, we have received our largest snowstorms in March and April. Our home sits just 2 miles from the city of Idaho Springs but it is 1,000 feet of elevation gain, so there are some steep climbs, it's part of mountain liv'n. Most of the 2m road leading to the home is unpaved and up a bit of a grade. The final 0.5 mile ascent to the house is single car and also steep - even in the summer months, so please consider this when planning your trip. Guest access The guests have access to the full house, sauna, and yoga/meditation space. Other things to note We have a beautiful fire wood sauna, with a view of the Arapaho National Forest. It’s ideal for 2-4 people and perfect for those colder nights. Instructions are in the guest manual. Adjacent to the sauna is our yoga/meditation space that is NOT heated, however you can use the heat from the sauna to warm the space. We provide 2 Manduka eKO large/71" yoga mats for your use or feel free to bring your own. I've been told by the locals, no one has air conditioning, therefore our house does not either. At 8,500ft elevation no air conditioning is needed. Summer days are normally in the 70s with cool nights and a great breeze being we are on a ridge. When we bought the home we were worried but we do not have humidity, little to no bugs, and simply opening windows if needed is natures air conditioning. Other things to note Because the house is located in the mountains, we have interactions with wildlife. This is their home too. It’s very common to see mule deer, red fox, elk, red tail hawks and ravens. However, there are also bear and mountain lion. We ask that you please don’t leave any food outside at the end of the night or in your car. And always make sure the trash is secure and placed in the bear box trash bin. Charming Idaho Springs Retreat on Chicago Creek!

This restored home, once the only Hospital, is surrounded by Aspens, beautiful views and wildlife. There are three comfortable bedrooms. The bathrooms are one full with a walk-in shower and one half bath off the primary bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped that any cook would enjoy. The large patio has a great sitting area to relax and appreciate the view. The house is located on a quiet dead end street and you are only a 5 minute walk to the Casinos or Opera House in Central City. The space Once know as St. Luke’s Hospital in 1870 , it was staffed by a physician and matron. Patients were asked to pay $6.00 per week board if they were able. The hospital closed in 1871 due to lack of patients. Central City was known as the richest square mile due to the mining in the late 1800's. The town has an abundance of History for you to enjoy like Casinos, Shops, a visitor center and of course the beautiful and famous Opera House. Nearby about a mile are ATV trails, Historic Cemetery and hiking. We purchased the building in 2003 and had to completely renovate. The back wall was rotted completely and unfortunately nothing could be salvaged inside. It took two years of hard work to make it what it is today. We want your stay to be memorable so for your comfort there are 600+ thread count sheets and UGG pillows on each bed. It has a kitchen that is very well stocked. The heating system is Radiant in-floor heat so your feet will never be cold. The main bathroom has a walk-in shower. Central City is a great central location to Denver, Boulder and many Ski Resorts. Guest access There is a full kitchen and a gas grill outside. Table and chairs if you want to dine inside or outside on the patio. Please enjoy the whole home. Other things to note This is an old mining town. Keep in mind the streets are narrow and steep. No smoking No pets No campfires No parties or events At least 25 years old to book 4 wheel drive may be needed in winter months for the steep roads A coffee pot is in the kitchen. No filter required but coffee is not supplied. Safeway grocery is in Idaho Springs just a short 15 minute drive. Not the best spot for children. There are granite tables that are attached by weight only and there are many breakable antiques. We really appreciate keeping guests at six and under. It is a historic home and we don’t want extra wear and tear. If you choose to have another guest there it will be $150.00 charge. If you bring an animal it will be $150 charge. It is very much frowned on.

This home is only steps away from Mt. Evans Trout Fishing (Grandma and Grandpa's Fishing Pond)! And downtown Idaho Springs is only about 7 minutes down the road, with many restaurants and shops. The space You will have the entire cabin to yourself. On the ground floor you will find the living room, kitchen and full bathroom, with a large soaking tub -- perfect for your sore skiing/hiking muscles! Next to the living room there are 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed. Head up into the loft (via ladder not stairs) for 2 twin beds and a kids/teen hangout area. Other things to note Please be prepared for limited-to-no cell signal and internet connection at the cabin. Cell signals and our satellite internet both come and go due to our valley location. This property is on 4 acres so and surrounded by public land, so there is lots of area to explore. Views from house include Grays and Torres. While Mt Blue sky can been with a short walk up tot he tiny house. You are within 20 minutes drive to Loveland Ski Area. 1 hour to Keystone. For hiking, snowshoeing, split-boarding or touring definitely check out St Mary's Glacier for winter or summer. A newly added Mountain bike park (Virginia Canyon) is just 10 minutes from the house. My home is a mix of traditional and contemporary styles. On the first floor there is an entry way, dining room, living room with a mountain view window sitting area, library and TV area. My kitchen is well equipped to do some happy cooking and elevated baking. You have use of Le Creuset Dutch Oven, Stoneware Casserole Baking Dishes, Vita Mix, Stainless Cookware, German Chef Knives, Handmade Wood Cutting Boards, Rice Cooker and a variety of Specialized Baking Pans. If you are a serious chef/baker let me know in advance and I can make available the Kitchen-Aid Stand Mixer. There is a small 1/2 bathroom downstairs. On the second floor there is bedroom with king bed and attached 1/2 bathroom, a bedroom with full bed, and a newly remodeled main bathroom that and has a bathtub and shower. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway! The space This ranch style mountain retreat is 1,195 sq feet. Just one mile to historic Idaho Springs yet private and secluded. This cabin has a beautiful kitchen-centric design. Custom chef’s kitchen with oven and electric stove. Each bedroom has vaulted ceiling’s at the opposite end of the home. The cabin is located 1 mile up a dirt road, with no streetlights. The cabin is easily visible from the road. 4 wheel or all wheel drive is recommend during snowy months. Snow will be shoveled prior to guests arrival, but after that, it's the guest’s responsibility. Please be cautious as sidewalk can be icy pending inclement weather. A shovel and salt are both provided. If guest(s) have a limitation, please notify host regarding snow removal. Host are not responsible for any falls or accidents related to snow/ice. Native Colorado wildlife can be seen from time to time in our area. This includes but is not limited to fox’s, turkeys, deer and bears. Two uncovered parking spaces are located right next to the cabin. No parties, events, candles, outdoor fires or outdoor grilling are allowed. No firearms. If we discover that you have violated any of these house rules, you will be required to leave immediately, and no refund will be given. We welcome responsible pet owners! Pets must be disclosed at the time of booking. Pet owners must pick up and properly dispose of all waste. No pet supplies are provided. A limit of 2 pets per reservation. No mobile home, camper parking, or trailers are permitted. Guest access You will have access to the entire cabin. Other things to note Our internet is provided through Starlink. STR License#: 2022-14 Entire home just a 10–15-minute WALK to historic downtown Idaho Springs. Just 5 minutes from, Argo Mine Gondola (Mountain Biking), fishing, rafting, zip-lining, hiking, and much more. Positioned on the west-end of Idaho Springs so you are close enough to the amenities of Idaho Springs without all of the traffic and parking headaches of downtown. This house has immediate access to I-70 West so you can get an early jump ahead of the ski traffic that everyone wants to avoid. The space You are renting the entire two-story home, which includes 4 bedrooms (totaling 5 beds + 1 futon), 2 full bathrooms and a full, newly renovated kitchen (6/2026). The backyard was recently rebuilt to include a spacious patio with plenty of seating, a fenced yard, and beautiful green turf. There is plenty of off-street parking behind the home in the gravel parking area, and the city allows for two vehicles to be parked in front of the house. Guest access You can park directly in front of the house which is clearly marked with the address. There is a two-car maximum allowed to be parked in front of the house per the city's ordinance. If you have more than two vehicles, there is ample parking directly behind the house in a gravel parking area. A deadbolt code will be given to the guest which will give access to the home.

You're invited to spend the weekend at this riverfront cabin in the woods. With 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a cozy kitchen, it's ideal for family of 8. The sound of rushing water from the nearby river will put you in a serene mood for the whole weekend. Relax on the deck or by the fire pit with friends and family. Enjoy fishing or canoeing down the river. When staying for 20 days to 30 you will get a complimentary cleaning during your stay. The space Entering the cabin, we have a small bench upon . Behind the door you will notice the small room with a washer and dryer. Entering from the right side there is an open space living room with a beautiful rustic feel and wooden construction. It has a beautiful wood-burning fireplace that will make your stay sensational! A glass door to the terrace. You can hear the river and see the mountains. To the right you will see the kitchen and a second dining room, ideal for children, or a comfortable living room. With door from the kitchen that leads to the terrace. The terrace has a beautiful seating area, heating and grill for cooking. From the living room you will notice the hallway that leads to the bedrooms and bathrooms. The room on the left is the children's room with a double sofa bed with double mattress, a small desk and a closet, the next room on the right is a queen bed and two small windows with a view of the river. There is a first full bathroom with a shower, plenty of towels and toilet paper. Ending the hallway with the master bedroom, with a glass door, to exit at the end of the deck, a small coffee table so you can enjoy the outdoors with a morning coffee. The main bathroom is large and has towels, toilet paper and ironing board available for your use. Guest access It is in a trailers park area and you have access to everything that is inside the fence and in the cabin, down to the access to the river, there is a fire pit in place to roast marshmallows. Firewood is available at the back of the cabin, in a closet on the side of the front door, in the same fenced area. Please do not disturb any neighbors during your stay. Other things to note Around the cabin there is plenty of activity to do outdoors. AVA rafting, zipline, razors, 5 minutes from Indian Hot Springs and 30 minutes from the nearest skii area. We do have security cameras, one in the main entry door, and the other entering through the deck, facing the parking space and fence door. Pets are allowed and should be in your reservation, if a service animal is joining you, please also inform us when you have made your reservation, so we can better plan our cleaning crew. Pets are NOT allowed in beds, couches or any furniture in the cabin, if we see any pet hair on any beds, couches or blankets you will be charged an additional cleaning fee of $200. Additional $50 will be added if you do not clean your pets poop and if any urine or poop is found inside the cabin an additional $100. We do NOT allow parties. Everyone in your reservation should be listed. There are a maximum of 8 people allowed. If you are staying for more than 20 days (up to 30 days) we are going to add a complimentary cleaning, to come and clean while you are in the cabin. Trash should never be outside the cabin and taken out to the big trash bin in the entrance of the trailer park. DO NOT leave trash out, this will attract wild animals. Wildlife have been seen near, deer, elk, bears, fox, bats, birds, squirrels. Do not feed the animals. When we say cabin we are referring to the definition from oxford languages: a small shelter or house, made of wood and situated in a wild or remote area. ALERTS to consider. In rural areas there is always a risk of some different smells, perhaps sometimes a bit of drainage which is eliminated by running hot water. Do not leave food outside the property to avoid the presence of animals.

NO AIR CONDITIONING- this house is built at 9,450' and the temperature is average mostly in the mid 70F during the day. Easy access with 2WD most of the year. But a 4-Wheel Drive or All Wheel Drive vehicle or one with snow tires is helpful to get to this home in the winter when snow is presence. 10min to Blackhawk (best casinos and buffets in Colorado), 15m to Idaho Spring (Hot springs, grocery, restaurants) 30 min to Golden (Red Rock Amphitheater, Coors Brewery Tour) and 45 to Denver and 1hr to Denver International Airport. I feel that lighting makes or breaks a space, so everything indoors and out has been done professionally and is spectacular. The outdoor of the property is softly & beautifully lit to provide an enjoyable nighttime experience, and a safe one if you choose to walk around the property at night. Inside there's even dancing flame candles hardwired with switches. Inside is no different with extensive effort and thought put into the lighting of each space... This is hi-tech rustic ambience! - (2) On property elaborate treasure hunts!! (see below for more about these and read my reviews - Years of effort have gone into these, and they are SO much fun... again read the reviews). Way better than any escape room you’ve done and hours of entertainment! - Beautiful Master Loft overlooking entire Cabin! Plus a main level private bedroom, and a separate kids bedroom upstairs (in the main cabin). - Property is located about 1 hour from Denver and it is very easy to get to - no I-70 traffic regardless of when you arrive or leave which is a big deal! 4-wheelers can be rented and delivered to the cabin if desired. Information is also at the cabin for local dining, casinos, fishing, grocery stores, hiking, jeep trails, etc. You can 4-wheel/ATV right off the property and into endless amounts of trails leading all the way to the Continental Divide, Winter Park, St. Mary's Glacier, and everywhere in between. There are endless amount of trails for exploring just up the road from the cabin. Golden Gate National Park is also only 15 minutes away. I can't overstate how awesome the 4.5-mile hiking trail is off the back of the Cabin...plan to be gone for a few hours! Treasure! There are (2) VERY elaborate treasure hunts for you to enjoy. One inside, and one outside (the outside one can only be done when there isn't snow on the ground...can you find the buried treasure chest on the property??) I encourage all ages to do them. They aren't easy...and kids will need help from their parents to figure out some of the clues, but it's a TON of fun. And if you figure it out...there will be treasure waiting for you at the end... ;-) Metal Detecting on property! There are tons of coins throughout the property, and even REAL SILVER coins that if you find you're allowed to keep (1). (2) metal detectors are provided so you can find real treasure! Roads are plowed and maintained by the City of Black Hawk all the way to the cabin. Accessible year round. In the winter, we recommend FWD or weather dependent AWD. Complimentary Chocolate and Coffee are provided. All linens, Firewood, and Wood Stove Pellets are also provided. Easy check-in - 4-digit access code will give you access for the length of your stay. We recommend not overexerting yourself on the first day (especially coming from sea level) and drink lots of water starting two days before your visit. Most will start to acclimate after a day or so. We do not give refunds due to altitude-related issues. 🛻 From Nov through May, AWD w/ all-season or winter tires with min of 3/16" tire tread is required to book the cabin.
