Plan to relax away from it all! The Drifter cabin is out where you can see all the stars at night. Don't forget your eggs and bacon as it is a 17 mile trip back to Luray, and 4 miles are gravel road. So just plan to stay and chill or not--in the hot tub! The space The cabin has a queen bed room with a propane stove, the living area has a double bed futon, Direct TV and the mini-kitchen area. The loft has a double bed. Due to COVID, we are not providing these. You will need to bring Linens, towels, pillows, bedspreads.(after COVID--LINENS and TOWELS are extra at $25/bed/visit) The mini-kitchen area has 2 stove top burners, a microwave, a toaster, coffee maker, and refrigerator. No oven but all the pots, pans and dishes that you need for 6. Below the cabin is a picnic table, fire ring and charcoal grill. Across the 7.5 acre field is the private driveway to the river frontage and boat landing (#20). There is a fire pit there too. Great fishing. The Drifter cabin is on 7.5 acres along with three other cabins which share the river frontage/landing (#20). Shenandoah River Outfitters uses this private boat landing. Plan to reserve canoe, kayak, raft and tubes trip with us, Shenandoah River Outfitters, for lots of river fun. We have a two-night min stay on weekends, one-night min during the week. (3-nights on holiday weekends) We offer special 4-day mid-week rates and week long rates. Just give a call or email. There is no WiFi and cell service is limited. Sprint works well. Enjoy our lake-view cabin (NO lake access) in Luray near the Shenandoah National Park with amenities including an electric fireplace, a hot tub, a fire pit, a park-style grill, two outdoor dining areas, patio lounges for sunbathing, a game room with a shuffleboard table, a foosball table, an arcade game with 412 games, cornhole, and board games in the living room (monopoly, chess, Jenga, and UNO). We offer free Wi-Fi and a 55" TV. You'll always have fun even if the weather does not cooperate! The space Inside the house, we have two bedrooms—one with a king-size bed, and the other with two twin-size beds. These two bedrooms accommodate 4 adults very comfortably. We have a full bathroom with a tub. We have a full-sized kitchen with a dining area. In the living room, you may stream your favorite shows or movies on the smart Roku TV (with your own subscription log-in) while enjoying the warmth from the fireplace with a remote click. The house has a central air system, a stacked washer and dryer, a microwave, a range oven, a dishwasher, and a refrigerator. We offer a Keurig coffee maker with both dripping and K-cup choices as well as a French press. In the basement, we have a game room with a shuffleboard, a foosball, an arcade game console, Tic-Tac-Toe, and a cornhole in a bag. We also have chess, monopoly, Jenga, and Uno on the middle shelf of the coffee table in the living room (main floor). You will never be bored staying in our cabin even if your outdoor activities get spoiled by adverse weather conditions. Guest access You have exclusive access to the whole property during your stay. Other things to note ROAD CONDITIONS—We are located on a dirt/gravel road 600 feet from the paved road. AWD/4WD and high-clearance vehicles are strongly recommended (it is required during and after a snowfall to ensure your safety). There are some bumpy sections in the first 300 feet, please drive very slowly (under 5 mph) to avoid damaging your vehicles. WATER—We are on a community well system. Although we already installed a water softener and a water filtration system, the water may still smell occasionally. We also installed a reverse osmosis filtration system under the kitchen sink to provide water safe for drinking. INTERNET—We use Starlink satellites for our Internet connections. Although it is reasonably fast, the speeds cannot compare to cable or fiber broadband speeds. Please be patient if you experience slow-down or buffering. HOT TUB—Clear water is a scarce commodity in this area. We need to truck in clear water because the well water has discoloration issues. To reduce excessive use of chemicals, please make sure you shower before entering the tub. Keep the hot tub covered and running while not in use. You may adjust the temperature (control panel at the end of the cover lift). When you enter the hot tub, please flip half of the cover (from the deck center towards the back door) and rock the cover lift backward towards the back door. After your use, please lower the lift, and cover the tub with the lid so leaves and debris won’t get into the tub. An additional $150 will be charged for full drainage and refill of the spring water if food or drink is present in the tub. When you check out, please set it no lower than 95 degrees. The water may reflect some yellow/green hues because of the iron in the water as well as pollens getting in from the air. But please rest assured that we service and balance the water during each turn. If we drain and refill the water in the hot tub on the day you check in, you may have to wait until the next morning to enjoy it because the water may not reach the desired temperature on the same day. FIRE PIT & GRILL--We have a fire pit and a park-style grill in the front year. Please bring your own charcoal and firewood if you plan on using the grill and the fire pit. For fire safety, please do NOT leave any open fire unattended. After each use, please extinguish the fire using the water hose in front of the house and clean up after your use. During the wintertime, please DETACH the water hose from the spigot after use to prevent freeze damage. PET POLICY—Only dogs are considered. No other animals are allowed without the host's prior approval. Up to two dogs (under 50 pounds) that are vaccinated and ticks & flea-free are allowed and are subject to a pet fee of $79. Dogs are not allowed on any furniture or in the hot tub. Do not leave your dogs alone on the property. Please let us know if your dogs are traveling with you in advance. To prevent incidents, we will prepare a sofa cover for you to use. We may charge for any extra cleaning, pest control, and/or damages caused by your dogs. Any unauthorized pet(s) found in or about the Rental Property will be grounds for expedited eviction and forfeiture of all monies paid. Guests are responsible for any cleaning charges, pest control costs, and damages caused by their unauthorized pets. TROUT LAKE—We are right next to a private Trout Lake owned by our next-door neighbor. Because the lake is privately owned, unfortunately, our guests cannot access the lake. The lake view, however, is priceless in our humble opinion! PARKING—We have a designated parking lot that can fit two cars back-to-back (first car pulls up close to the lower end). GARBAGES—Please keep all your trash inside. Do not leave any food outside that may attract the wildlife. You might spot some animal activities (including black bears) in this area. For any excess trash you need to dispose of before checking out, please bring them to the dumpster at the back of Shenandoah River Outfitters. VIDEO SURVEILLANCE--There are three exterior cameras (two flood light cameras at the front side of the cabin and one doorbell camera at the front door) monitoring and recording all exterior entries, exits, and movements at the front side of the property for security purposes. They are on 24/7, but only record video and audio when there are movements (motion detected and activated around the clock-24/7). Videos may be stored for 1-365 days for security or house-rule breach review. There is no other surveillance inside or at the back side of the cabin. SMOKE-FREE PROPERTY--Guests are prohibited from smoking cigarettes, e-cigarettes, marijuana, or using any illicit drugs at the premises (including both inside the cabin and on the ground). Any violation will result in a $1,000 fine and immediate termination of your stay with no refund. NO PARTY RULE--We do not allow guests to use the cabin for any type of party. Quiet time is between 9 PM and 9 AM. Noise complaints reported by neighbors are the grounds for immediate termination of your stay with no refund. CLEANING FEE--The cleaning fee only includes the basic cleaning of the house. Please make every effort to leave the house as you found it (plus normal wear and tear). We will charge you an additional cleaning fee ($50/hr) for any of the following: • Grill cleaning • Stained towels, bedsheets, bed and duvet covers, walls, furniture, or other items • Garbage pickup (garbage that is outside the trash can or trash bag) • Liquid or food spills • Used pots, pans, kitchenware, utensils, and kitchen supplies not loaded in the dishwasher • Any additional cleaning or treatment that delays the normal turnover of the house

Enjoy a country sunrise from the covered porch positioned along the front of the property or spend time in the screened porch that leads to a large wrap around deck overlooking the George Washington National Forest. The main and secondary roads are typically paved, but many side roads are gravel or hard-packed dirt. You may encounter potholes, ruts, steep inclines, and rough terrain. Most front-wheel drive vehicles have no trouble accessing the property when driven slowly and carefully, but low-profile vehicles such as sports cars or motorcycles are not recommended. The cabin is located right down the street from the Shenandoah River Outfitters and several launch areas, or use your private river access with the cabin’s tubes, kayaks and a canoe. **A short 28 minute drive gets you to Shenandoah National Park!** The space Marimac on the River combines rustic cabin life and serene natural setting with a stylish interior space. From your own window and outdoor space, prepare for excellent wildlife viewing including herons soaring and hawks fishing from the river right before your eyes! **Starlink internet has finally arrived! Wi-Fi speeds are now good for work from home and streaming** The cabin is all situated on one floor. There are easy two steps up to the front door. It has two bedrooms (primary with a queen bed and a second bedroom with two twin beds), a bathroom, an eat in kitchen and a living room all on the first floor. Also on the first floor, and accessible via the living room and primary bedroom, is a large screened in porch with a hot tub and a bistro table. The cabin also features a fun, small upper loft space which has comfy floor seating (there are no beds in the loft) and a smart tv. The loft is accessible (at one’s own risk) by a ladder. Please Note - We have a 3 night minimum for all Major US Holiday Weekends. We now provide free high speed wifi access at the cabin. We do have good reception at the cabin for those who have T-Mobile/Sprint service. The TV does have a HDMI and USB input for those with mobile streaming devices. We have both a DirecTV streaming device and an Apple TV box connected to the TV via an HDMI switch. We do have a VHS/DVD player and mini library of offerings for it. This is a modern cabin that has two queen-sized bedrooms, a full bath and fully equipped kitchen including microwave and coffee maker. There is a freestanding fireplace in the great room with a sleep sofa. The great room has ample glass for you to enjoy the views while relaxing in front of a fire. 	The views from the cabin are nothing short of spectacular. See the sunrise over the Blue Ridge Mountains in the morning while enjoying a cup of freshly brewed coffee. Complementary coffee, tea and hot chocolate are provided for your pleasure. This stretch of the river is noted for outstanding smallmouth bass fishing and excellent canoeing, kayaking and tubing. There is also a Government stocked public fishing lake within a short walk, with wonderful views to pass the time. 	The Shenandoah National Park is a short drive with its excellent hiking trails and fine native brook trout streams. Nearby is a host of recreational activities to include canoeing, tubing, hiking, biking and fishing. Also, a number of excellent tourist attractions including Luray Caverns are close by. There are hiking trails and mountain biking trails within 1/4 mile. There are 2 public boat ramps with in 1 mile and 2 National Forest fishing ponds within 1 mile. The space The property has a beautiful big yard, 2 decks one in back for privacy and one in front , a large covered deck perfect for sipping morning coffee. Wild life often visit the cabin, deer and squirrels are numerous.

The space The Falling Leaf Cabin sleeps up to 4 guest, features 2 bedrooms with Queen Beds and 1 & 1/2 Baths. The main bedroom is a spacious loft, while the second bedroom has a private half bath. The fully equipped Kitchen leads to a Dining and Living area with hardwood floors , 18' vaulted ceilings with a Gas Log Stone fireplace. A cozy upper back deck has a beautiful view of the Massanutten Mountain. Outside, listen to the sounds of nature as you relax in the Hot Tub. Adjacent to the Cabin there is a fire-pit for the camping experience. The Cabin is privately owned and family operated, offering all the comforts of home. The hot tub is for the use of Chalet guests only.
