Welcome to Nokomis Nest, a bright, clean & cozy South Minneapolis home. It is conveniently located close to Lake Nokomis, Minnehaha Falls, restaurants, shops, Mall of America, the airport, & more. The lake is about a 5 minute walk away, and much of the area is accessible on foot or bike (or a short car ride). You'll have the entire house and fenced-in yard to yourself for a relaxing & delightful stay. The space GARAGE/PARKING Monthly rentals have the option of using our 1 car garage. This is extremely rare to find and so helpful during the snowy winter months! There is also plenty of street parking located in front of the house. Our bungalow is filled with natural light, comfortable beds, and is located in Minneapolis' best (in our opinion!) neighborhood. Close to the airport and downtown, yet only a few minutes walk to Minnehaha Falls; this is really the best location in the twin cities. The space Our cozy duplex was built in 1947 - we hope you love it as much as we do! Two bedrooms with comfortable queen beds, a stocked kitchen, hardwood floors, and a comfortable living room with a pull-out sofa bed. There's a small kitchen table that expands to accommodate more guests (we've found it makes a great work station, too), and a small bathroom with a shower and bath-tub. The handmade black walnut dining room table is a great space to share a meal or play a game with friends and family. "The Minnehaha" is the site of a future boutique hostel, currently guests have the opportunity to rent the lower level to themselves! Commercially zoned along the historic Minnehaha Mile - 2 blocks from the Light Rail and minutes from both the Airport and Downtown. Safe parking, free laundry and large private outdoor area for guests. Plenty of coffee spots, grocery stores, bars and restaurants within walking distance or Metro Transit. Very bike friendly. Safe neighborhood, perfect location! The space "The space looks a bit more like a hotel suite than anything else". It's a gorgeous basement.. We're different than most Airbnb's in that we live here, we maintain, we clean and we ruminate. We really care! Completely separate from owners, you'll have about 600 sq feet of indoor AND large separate outdoor area to enjoy. It's old! (1910) so it's funky, unique and perfectly imperfect. SUPER CLEAN. Super cozy. Set up perfectly for couples, friends, parents/kids with the common area separating the two sleeping areas. If you're wanting to spend most of your time indoors, looking for tall ceilings or large rooms with communal seating this will not be a good fit. Queen size bed and convertible couch will accommodate three adults. Quiet family friendly south Minneapolis location with less than 10 min walk to light rail easily connected to downtown and the airport. High chair and pack and play available upon request. The space Fully furnished 357 sqft house on a foundation. It has an open studio floor plan best suited for 1-2 travelers but can sleep a 3rd adult on the convertible couch. Completely private, this house is referred to as an Accessory Dwelling Unit that I designed and built the summer of 2017. It is not complete, there are some exterior finishing details yet to do but it is very comfortable for you and all of my previous guests. Solidly built by my team and clad in steel, it is unlike any other single family home in this metro area. Queen size "Purple Original" Combination washer and dryer is efficient, easy to use with instructions provided and laundry detergent is provided. Full kitchen is stocked with the basic tools needed to assemble and store a simple meal. Coffee maker, toaster, etc... the basics. I'm open to suggestions. 3/4 bath has a large shower with a built in seat. Towels, wash cloths, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toilet paper, hair dryer are provided. The house is connected to the internet. A smart television and a WIFI router are connected to that internet. There is not broad cast television. You can log into your own Netflix, or Hulu from the menu on the tv and stream your own content. You can also surf the web with the remote. You can bring your own casting device and plug into the HDMI port on the tv. There is not cable tv in the house. I have two security cameras mounted on the exterior of the house. They are used for safety and security of my vehicle and mural only. For safety's sake, I would suggest as good practice to keep you and your belongings secure as you see fit and take precautionary measures. The mural and paintings on the exterior of the house were painted by native to MN artist Deuce 7. Guest access This house is in the back of the lot and is accessible via the alley off of Dight Ave. It can be a little hard to find because of its privacy and setback from 42nd St but rest assured, it is there and if you need help finding it, you can contact me via txt or phone. You'll have full access to all that this house has to offer within and mostly outside of it on the property. However, the parking pad and fenced yard of the other house is off limits to guests. The parking pad is for my vehicle only. There is plenty of street parking in front of the guest house on Dight Ave. Other things to note The television only works for internet based content like streaming services such as Netflix etc.. Plan on 3 hours for a small load of laundry to wash and fully dry. Instructions for the machine are in the Domus Manual. Much less laundry detergent is better as the machine uses much less water. Thank you for considering my lovely cottage located in south Minneapolis. This cozy tudor style home has two bedrooms and one bathroom. This house was built in 1928 and has the old Minneapolis vibe combined with modern touches. It's on a tree-lined street which only adds to the charm. Pets are welcome. Parking is on the street or the parking pad behind the house. Washer/dryer on site. The space This home has two bedrooms. the master bedroom has a queen bed and small closet. The second bedroom has a twin bed with a twin trundle bed underneath. You just pull it out to use. This room does not have a traditional closet but a clothes rack has been provided. The attic access is through this room, but the attic door is locked and not accessable to guests. Guest access The detached garage is being renovated and not available for use. The attic is not accessible for guest use. The cleaners closet is in the basement and locked for the cleaners use only. Check in is simple by using the door code I will provide prior to check in. The code is only active for the duration of your stay, not sooner or later. Other things to note The back yard is not fenced so you'll need to keep your pet on a leash outside. Pets are not allowed to be left alone in the home. Smoking inside the home and parties are not allowed. This is a quiet neighborhood and not appropriate for events/ parties. The space The Modern Refuge is one side of a duplex. The entire unit is for guest use only. You will check in via keypad to make it easy and hassle free, and allow you to come and go as you please without needing to remember a key. As you enter The Modern Refuge you walk into the bright and inviting living room which features a two-sided fireplace that will make you want to cancel your evening plans and have a night in. As you continue through the house, you will notice the hardwood floors and architectural elements that make this unit beautiful and unique. The kitchen has an open floor plan to the living room and boasts updated cabinets, beautiful travertine tile, and unique granite counter tops. The kitchen is stocked with the essentials for preparing a basic meal. Through the hallway off the kitchen, you will find the 1st floor bedroom and the bathroom. The bathroom has a spa-like shower for you to have some R&R. The 1st floor bedroom has a comfortable queen bed and a sliding glass door which exits to your patio deck in the backyard. Up the iron spiral staircase, is the upstairs loft where you will find a king bed with a memory foam mattress, another fireplace, a laptop ready workspace, and a cozy reading nook. *LAUNDRY* There is no in-unit laundry, but laundry is available upon request. We charge $5 per load to cover utilities and detergent. *PARKING* There is plenty of street parking in front of the house on 24th Ave. Please park on the west side of the street; the side the house is on. *LUGGAGE DROPOFF* If you need to drop-off luggage, please check with us first that the cleaning will be completed in time for you to drop-off your luggage. *TV* Our TV has Roku access to sign into your own account on Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, etc. so you can pick up where you left off at home. Standard cable is not provided. *STAIRCASE* The spiral staircase to the upstairs is difficult for some to use. It is not very wide and should not be used by those who have mobility limitations or believe the steps will be difficult to get up or down. *AIR CONDITIONING* There are 2 air conditioning units. One is a standing wall unit upstairs. The second is a window unit in the living room by the front door. This property does not have central air conditioning. *GARBAGE/RECYCLING* There are 2 garbage bins and one recycling bin in the back alley behind the garage. The black bins are for garbage and the blue bin is for recycling. Garbage pickup is on Monday’s. Other things to note The spiral staircase is a unique feature of our home, so please be careful when walking around or up the staircase.
