Relax in the game room with bar area or unwind in the loft library with scenic views. The perfect year-round Poconos getaway for families and friends. The space Master bedroom with king sized bed. 2 queen sized bedrooms. One room with twin bed and twin over full sized bunk bed. Loft has a pull out bed. Loft is on the third floor but is an open space and does not have a private door. Guest access Guest can access the entire house and backyard. Backyard is fenced all through out. Garage is not accessible. Other things to note Pool is salt water and opens in May. There is a heating option for pool. But there will be an additional cost of $75 a day due to extra utility costs. Please let host know beforehand if you wish to add heating option. Pool temperature can reach up to 80 degrees, but outside temperature must be within that 10 degree range. Heater turns on only during the day (7am-7pm). Deck floor gets very warm from the sun. Be sure to bring flip flops. We do not provide any floaties, but we do have a hand pump so you can inflate any floaties you may want to bring. We do provide coolers for your use located outside double doors in ground level. There is an outdoor umbrella on deck. Close umbrella after every use. Do not open if weather is windy. Guest is responsible if damage done due to weather. - Amenities - 5 mins from public golf course - 10 mins from Shawnee Mountain - 10 min from boat rental for Delaware Water Gap (Adventure Sports) - Many hiking trails in the area including Bushkill Falls (15 mins away) - 30 mins from Camelback Mountain - 40 mins from Blue Mountain -Pets are welcomed. There is a $100 pet fee included at check out. We ask for pets to be potty trained and for guests to pick up after them. Backyard is completely fenced in. Drying rack is provided. -Small stack of firewood and fire starter provided for guests inside. Delivery for additional wood can be arranged at an added cost. Cost is $150 for a large stack of wood. The cottage is about 12 minutes away from DWG National Recreation, and 9 minutes from Shawnee Mountain Ski area. Conveniently located minutes away from ESU, LVH, shopping-needs and fun activities all year round. The space The first thing you noticed about the cottage is the cover bridge, which leads to the front porch that stretches across the front. The porch provides a beautiful uninterrupted view of the creek and is in a perfect place to sit down and admire what nature has to offer. The cottage home was built on top of a rock which is unique. It has its own private island with a hammock that you can enjoy. The master bedroom has a balcony and access to the backyard, and a jacuzzi tub for relaxation. The other rooms and bathroom are situated on the second level. Each room has a unique design and style, there’s also a recreational room with free smart TV which leads to the backyard fire pit and grill. Or take a short walk to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Is really nice to standout in the evenings, and enjoy nature or hot cocoa by the fire pit. The kitchen, dining and living room has an open concept to enjoy family gatherings. A true forest setting The cabin is tucked into a lively woodland—you may see deer, turkeys, songbirds, and an occasional black bear at a distance. You might also notice seasonal insects or small critters outdoors. We hire professional pest control regularly to keep the interior comfortable. Pet friendly (but not fenced) We love dogs and welcome them, but the yard is not fenced. There’s plenty of space to explore on leash. Allergy note Our cleaners do a thorough job between stays, but because we’re pet‑friendly, guests with pet allergies should keep that in mind before booking. Wildlife may include flying insects, spiders, ants, squirrels, flying squirrels, mice, foxes, raccoons, opossums, skunks, snakes, turtles, coyotes, and black bears. Smaller creatures and insects can occasionally find their way inside depending on the outside conditions. We have monthly exterminator visits to minimize this, but being in the mountains, anything is possible. Additionally, please note that the mountain infrastructure differs from that of the city. Small wind or rain storms can occasionally cause power or internet outages in specific areas, including our home. Power outages may affect the water supply as we are on wells and the well pumps need power to work. Usually, these outages are restored within 2-5 hours, which is a quick turnaround given the weather conditions. For outages lasting less than 24 hours, no refund or compensation will be provided. For outages exceeding 24 hours, compensation will be issued on a case-by-case basis. Lastly, we are in the process of ordering custom window blinds for the clerestory windows in two bedrooms.
