It has a true beach cottage feel yet has everything you need including wifi. Owners have a separate entrance to lower level part-time residence. Sometimes we are there but you won't see us because the main/top level is completely yours! You can always ask if we are planning to be there during your stay. To access the beach, you will need to drive to the access point. It is about a 2 minute drive. Please ask any questions you have before booking. Welcome to Salmon Creek! This quaint cottage has been lovingly restored and reimagined as a retreat from everyday life. One of only 4 homes on the creek, watch sunsets and wildlife from the spacious deck against a backdrop of waves crashing on the nearby beach. Enjoy views of the ocean and sand dunes, or walk to the beach. A naturalist’s delight! The space One of only 4 homes on Salmon Creek, you have unobstructed views of the creek, sand dunes, and waves crashing on the nearby beach. The home is walking distance to Salmon Creek beach and just a short drive from the town of Bodega Bay. This home has been extensively updated to change this from a cramped, 1-bedroom cabin into a small but cute cottage with a renovated bathroom, small (but mighty) kitchen, LED lighting, fast WiFi and smart TV. Enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee on the spacious deck, or prepare dinner on the propane grill (propane and grilling tools provided!). At night, enjoy a fire in cottage's wood burning stove. The interior layout of the home was completely redone to maximize your enjoyment of the cottage's 550 square feet. The kitchen has propane range, microwave, and dishwasher. A small kitchen island expands the area for food prep or eating. The two bedrooms are not large, but both have queen beds with comfortable memory foam mattresses. The cottage has a washer & dryer so you can pack less and not worry about getting dirty. Perfect for a couple, this home also works well for families and children. The house has a DVD player, a small selection of house DVDs, adult & children's books, board games, and some toys. For beach days, please feel free to use the house beach towels, chairs and sand toys, then wash your feet off by the back steps to the deck. You are steps away from the party boats if you want to book a fishing trip. There are gift shops up the road that have wonderful items to look at or buy. Unwind at our cozy home along the scenic Sonoma coastline. We built this house to recharge and reconnect with family, friends and one another. Situated just a half mile from Portuguese Beach, the house is perfect for admiring the ocean from the warmth of the sofa, for getting out and walking among nature and wildlife, and as a jumping off point for nearby beaches, horseback riding and hikes. You’ll enter into a generously sized living room, with a 9’ x 9’ sectional couch and large coffee table perfect for games or puzzles. The living room faces west towards the ocean, and the 16' wide bi-fold windows open to a patio perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or evening sunset. The Malm fireplace adds functional ambiance — though the house stays comfortably warm year-round. There is no television, however there is a projector with Chromecast and large wall in the living room to project onto. The living room extends to the kitchen, which has a gas range and dishwasher. We have a full assortment of cooking implements, and nice-to-have appliances like a blender, milk frother, and hand mixer. We’re avid coffee drinkers, so you’ll also find a kettle, burr grinder, kitchen scale and a press pot, chemex and single cup pour-over. The adjacent dining room features a 7-foot reclaimed wood farm table and benches. You’ll find 12 full sets of dishes and utensils, wine glasses, and an assortment of serving bowls and platters. There is a bedroom at the northeast corner of the house with a queen bed and dresser; a bedroom at the southeast corner of the house with two twin beds and a dresser; and a bedroom at the southwest corner of the house with a king bed, a wardrobe, a small desk, and a view of the ocean. There’s one bathroom with a shower and washer/dryer on the north side of the house between the kitchen and queen bedroom, and between the other two bedrooms on the south side, a bathroom with a generous soaking tub. Both bathrooms have radiant in-floor heat and offer Aesop bath products. The house is adorned with works from our collection of art — primarily pieces by Bay Area artists. Groceries and other commercial attractions are about a 10-minute drive south. Located on the banks of the most beautiful stretch of the Russian River, and a 10 minute drive from the breathtaking Sonoma Coast, the location is ideal for nature lovers. Hike, bike, kayak,* swim, fish, float, or just relax in the hot tub or soak in the views from the deck. Stunning scenery surrounds you from every angle. *kayaks and dock available during dry season only. The space Riverfront Retreat is located right on the river with easy river access and its own dock. The layout of the house is perfect for adults/couples traveling together as each of the 3 sleeping areas has its own private entrance. The layout is not ideal for all families with children, so please read through the description here to make sure it's a good fit for you. The main part of house is upstairs with a small but functional kitchen, dining area, living room (with sleeper sofa) and one bedroom with king bed and full bathroom. The downstairs area has a separate entrance at the base of the exterior staircase and includes 2nd bedroom with queen bed, full bathroom and pingpong/game/laundry room. The 3rd bedroom is a sleeping cottage with a queen bed just steps across the courtyard. There is also an upstairs deck and glass-enclosed patio overlooking the meadow and river to soak in the stunning views. There is a dock for launching kayaks at the river bank just across the meadow. Please mind our neighbor's privacy and space by keeping to our end of the meadow, directly parallel to the house. There are 3 kayaks available for your use during the dry season*, so guests can get out and explore the river. There are also bicycles for casual bike rides. Bring your own fancy bikes for some seriously amazing trail and road riding, if that's your thing. Amazing mountain biking trails and destination road cycling routes are accessible right from our road. Please note that we unfortunately cannot welcome any animals due to severe allergies. *since nature and weather are unpredictable, dates of "dry season" vary. Occasionally, see a whale or dolphin swimming off shore. At dusk, watch the sun set as you make dinner in the fully equipped kitchen with all new appliances. Later watch the moon and stars come out as you relax to the sound of the waves. The space This is a newly remodeled house. This home features a Tesla Tile Roofing System that provides electricity to the entire house. The inside of the home is comfortable and has all new appliances and updated bathrooms and kitchen. We have worked hard to ensure our guests will have a unique and wonderful experience. Guest access You have access to the whole house with privacy for you and your family. A five minute walk to the beach, you will enjoy the craggy coastline, secluded coves and miles and miles of sand and trails. You are minutes away from shops and restaurants in Bodega Bay, Duncans Mill, Jenner and Guerneville , horseback riding at Chanslor Ranch and kayak/paddle board rentals in Bodega Bay.
