HVAC Rules: Please do not set the home's thermostat above 76 (heating) or below 68 (cooling). There is plenty of counter space for cooking group meals and the kitchen is stocked with just about anything you need for home cooking. Upstairs, we have three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a loft area. - Bedroom #1 is the master suite with a king bed. The patio and pool area is a real downtown oasis. There is also the additional electric scooters scattered around that you can rent. Our recommendations for our neighborhood and other parts of Austin include: A few blocks down is Monarch Food Mini Mart. It is small, but will carry most of what are looking for (bottled drinks, snacks, ice). For a traditional large supermarket, keep walking past Monarch and you will see the very large Fiesta Mart. Located right next to the Monarch is Cherrywood Coffeehouse, which is a great spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Beer on tap, freshly made iced teas, bakery items, etc. Manor Rd: One of our favorite spots for drinks and a quick meal is Schoolhouse Pub. They have everything from beer and wine to cocktail specials, as well as a small menu that changes frequently, but is always full of tempting items. Pro tip: they have parking in the back. Entrance is through the alley. For walkable weather, they are only a 10 minute walk! Este is a new seafood restaurant also located on Manor Rd. We recommend trying the Tuna Carnitas. Chef’s kiss! Wow! Continuing on Manor Rd, for freshly made pasta, check out Patrizi’s located in the backyard of the Butterfly Bar. They also own Vic and Al's across the street for delicious cajun food. They have an amazing margarita that uses carrot juice as the sweetener. Yum! Places that are driveable or long-walkable during nice weather include: For delicious breakfast tacos worth the drive, our favorite spot is Veracruz All Natural. They have several food truck locations, but our favorite spot is at Littlefield’s at 2401 Winsted Lane. 12 minutes away by car. They are also have opened a brick and mortar called Veracruz Fonda & Bar in the Mueller Park district. For a restaurant/bakery/coffee shop, we highly recommend Sour Duck on MLK Blvd, which is a 5-minute drive away. They have super yummy bakery items and freshly baked bread in addition to a regular breakfast and lunch menu. Highly recommend treating yourself to their kouign-amann!!! It frequently sells out by lunchtime. For the best cappuccino of your life, go to Rocheli Patisserie, which is another 3 minutes down the road from Sour Duck. You’re welcome!
