Delightful exclusive designed farmhouse close to the river edge set in 2 hectares of olive and fruit trees. The area is a World Heritage site and is dominated by Port Wine's vineyards and terraces. The pool has panoramic views of the Douro Valley. The space This bespoke and unique farmhouse is designed by a well known architect and verandas appear to be suspended over the water. All the interiors are lavishly decorated throughout with beautiful upholstery and the bathrooms and kitchen are in marble and natural local materials. Each bedroom has panoramic views of the river and terraces. The largest veranda is decorated in rich fabrics and gives a romantic feeling. The pool is connected to the house by a wooden deck and enjoys a breathtaking view of the Douro Valley. Guest access Guests have access to all the house and exterior land except the boiler room and the shed. Please note that you can reach the property in two different ways, the main one is through a narrow rural road, (we Higley recommend a 4-wheel drive) and the other way is to park the car in the village and then by going up three flights of stairs and walking around 50 meters. Some of our guests/friends use the rural road, but some prefer to park near the station, in the village, and use the foot path. Upon your arrival there will be someone to greet, help you and explain the details. We also have a bag transfer included in the price, no extra charge. Not all guests rent a 4x4 vehicle so that they can easily negotiate the rural road to the farmhouse, therefore for those guests that will prefer to park their car in the village (and go up the three flights of stairs and walk around 50 meters) we will be offering a new bag transfer service using our own 4x4 vehicle, this service will transfer the bags to the farmhouse at check-in and transfer them back to the village park at check-out.
