Fall asleep to Bear Creek and towering hemlocks in this tiny treehouse home set in old-growth forest. A deck 20 feet up offers elevated creek views, and private trails connect to thousands of acres of wilderness. A 9’ folding glass wall and full-glass shower open the cabin to nature. Smart projector, convertible couch, and a king-short loft bed make every inch of this small footprint comfortable. Small space, big adventure. The space The extra bed is the couch that folds out into a flat bed. Heat and AC is provided via a mini-split and propane fireplace. The home is a very efficiently designed 200 square-foot floor plan. There are private trails to a beautiful creek with a small waterfall and a wading pool for those adventurous enough to find them! If you are sensitive to morning light please bring sleeping eye mask :) Guest access Private parking with separate property entrance and lock box for key access. Take a break in our charming forest cottage. The cottage boasts a small yard, 12 acres of trails and a rustic feel. The location feels like a world away and yet is conveniently located near shops and restaurants. Stroll through several acres of forest trails. Enjoy local shops and restaurants just 5 minutes away in Sultan or 10 minutes away in Monroe. Enjoy a day skiing or visiting Everett or Seattle. All within 1 hour's drive from the cottage. We now have internet and a TV available! The space You enter the cottage through an intimate sunroom with a small bistro table, a great place for press pot made coffee in the morning. The entryway opens into an open concept living and dining room. Enjoy reading a book from our small library on one of the wingback chairs by the fire. Play a board game from our collection at our dining room table. Or use it to enjoy a meal prepared in our small kitchenette that is equipped with the essentials to prepare light meals. The cozy bathroom includes a stand-up shower providing comfort and convenience after a day of exploring the great outdoors. Upstairs in loft you'll find two connected bedrooms. The larger space offers a queen size bed. The smaller space opens to below and offers a full size beds. Outside you can walk through 12 acres of trails during the day or enjoy a bonfire in the campfire at night in the small yard. We provide 1 bundle of wood for your first night. The cottage provides linens, towels, dishes, press pot, electric kettle, two burners, toaster oven and small kitchen gadgets. It does have electricity and heat but currently does not have wifi or cable.

Charming, retro, perfectly preserved time capsule house located on High Bank Skykomish river. This 1 bedroom waterfront home features Mountain views and access to the water for seasonal fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming or just lounging. Watch the eagles and the fish jump through a provided telescope and binoculars, or just while lounging in front of large picture windows. Though the vintage ambience is preserved, the couch, bedding and carpets are brand new. The space The Master bedroom is a large room with an EnSuite bathroom, with a shower tub combo. It is a comfy, pillow top queen bed, with a thin down mattress pad, with an additional cover over that, to provide stabilization to the down. high thread count cotton sheets, with a fleece blanket tucked between a top sheet, and a quilt, to provide the weight without the overheating. Guest access The entire house is yours. You will have access to the 2 bathrooms, one with a stand alone shower, sink and toilet and the other with a shower/tub combo, 2 sinks and a toilet. You will have a full dresser, with exception the the bottom drawer which contains extra sheets. There is a living room, 2 dining tables and a breakfast bar between the full kitchen and living area. A large screen tv, board games, binoculars and more. Other things to note Enjoy the fire pit on the lower bank, but please be safe. We will try to always have a fishing rod, available and ready for use. We have sunglasses available to use in case you have forgotten, to really enjoy the view. They are free to borrow and they are sanitized and sealed after every use. Our rule of thumb is if we left it in the house, cupboards or fridge, it was intentionally left for our guests to enjoy. Not So Tiny House

A simple, eco-friendly, ✨ off-the-grid ✨ cabin in the forest on a private lake. About 70 min from downtown Seattle and an hour or less to all kinds of adventuring in the central Cascade Mountains. A great place for a digital detox! There's a wood stove, fire pit and one can enjoy fishing (catch & release), swimming, hiking, bird-watching, grilling and more right in the backyard. The cabin is a great romantic getaway, place to unplug & recharge and/or have a weekend hang for a small group! The space Please note: Depending on drought conditions the fire pit may not be able to be used during your stay. We are very serious about this. Neighbors will call the police if there is a burn ban and you break the law. The cozy cabin has most of the amenities of home while still being off-the-grid and remote. Lights are powered by solar panels, heat is provided by a wood stove and (seasonally) there is plenty of firewood in the shed. There is hot water, a toilet, shower, mini refrigerator, and 2-burner stove top - all are powered by propane. There is a large gas grille in the backyard. There is no oven. Guests must pack out their own garbage. Sleeping: Upstairs has a Queen-sized bed and full sized bed with plenty of space for an extra air mattress should you choose to bring one. Downstairs has an extremely comfy (no, really!) full-sized futon. For overflow there is a lake-front tent pad which fits a large, two-person or small 4-person tent. The property also has 2 row boats (and life vests) which are yours to use at your own risk. The property has an abundance of wildlife, resident and migratory birds and the lake has bass and trout. Fishing is catch and release only. ** PLEASE NOTE ** There is little to no cell phone reception and limited electricity provided by solar energy. The nearest LTE/4G phone signal is about 3-5 min down the dirt road. Some guests have spotty service but most just go to "Airplane Mode" relax and unplug. Nearby drives/attractions: -40 mins to Duvall (super cute town with lots of shops, cafes, breweries, etc) -25 mins to Monroe (all the amenities of a mid-sized town: Walmart, Fred Meyer) -20 mins to Sultan (cool new brewery, liquor store and convenience store here) -30 mins to Wallace Falls (great hike with amazing views!) -35 mins to Index (quaint mountain town that you have to see! Brewery and distillery too) -50 mins to Stevens Pass (skiing/snowboarding, snowshoeing) -1 hour, 45 mins to Leavenworth Guest access The entire cabin is yours to use, including upper and lower decks, stone patio, fire pit, gas grille, tent pad, floating dock and 2 (two) rowboats. Swimming, floating and boating is at your own risk. Other things to note The cabin is truly 'off the grid' - so that means no powered electrical outlets, and lights are powered by solar power. This property has little to no cell service and no internet service. I like it this way. It really provides an unplugged, relaxing and restorative atmosphere. As such, this is a tranquil property not suited for rowdy parties. There are fresh linens and towels, soaps and shampoo + conditioner. The kitchenette has everything you'll need: pots and pans, spices, cooking oil, a percolator and french press for coffee, a kettle for hot water and a 10-gallon purified drinking water dispenser with extra bottles. The stairs in the cabin are at a steeper pitch than your "normal" household stairs. Please be aware of this and use caution. I provide candles, headlamps and flashlights in case the solar battery runs down (please do not accidentally leave lights on!!) Charge your phones/devices before you arrive. Set phones to airplane mode to conserve your battery. Due to the remote and rustic nature of this cabin, this may not the best place for infants and young children. Feel free to contact me with questions to make sure this is the right getaway for you or your group. Lastly, this truly is a rustic cabin in the woods, subject to both nature's wrath and glory. Heavy rains, wind, muddy conditions, and the occasional frozen pipes are a reality. While I can't control forces of nature, I will always do what I can to make sure your stay is enjoyable. SUMMER GUESTS PLEASE NOTE: Due to increasing risk of forest fires in western Washington, restrictions on camp fires in the summer months are common. During these times the fire pit will be closed down and camp fires will be prohibited. WINTER GUESTS PLEASE NOTE: This is a remote property and water pipes can/will freeze in the winter. There is plenty of drinking water in the cabin but showers and faucets could freeze in the coldest months.

Platters available upon request. I grow a variety of fruits, berries and vegetables which are available in season and supply. The lake water has a brown tinge due to the sphagnum moss/peat and tree root tannins. Water has been lab tested. Infants to seniors have been swimming here for my 25 year ownership. Lake is 30' deep, fed by the aquifer and has a high oxygen content. Dogs can not be left unattended at any time crated or not. The hot tub is shared with my cottage guests so I schedule times of your choosing for your privacy.

Please come stay at my unique place that has a style of its own. Only 45 minutes to Stevens Pass. It is quiet, on a beautiful piece of property, near the gateway to the Cascade Mountains. It has two bedrooms, one bedroom with a king size bed and the other with two double beds. Full kitchen and utensils with beautiful refinished 80 year old wood floor. Washer and dryer. Bathroom has shower with tub. Very clean, requesting to leave shoes at entryway to keep clean for all quests! Thank you!

Every outdoor adventure you crave is within minutes of this remodeled river home. Whether you prefer fishing, rafting, kayaking or bouldering on the Skykomish River, skiing or snowboarding at Stevens Pass, hiking to Wallace and Bridal Veil Falls, climbing Index Wall or running a half marathon up to Jay Lake like I do, it's all at your fingertips. And the best part is returning home to every amenity, including wifi, laundry, access to my gym and infrared sauna. The space Primary bedroom has a queen size bed, living room has a pull out queen size bed. Open concept main room. Guest access The entire property is yours. However, floods have taken out the permanent stairs, so access to the river is sketchy from the deck. The rocks below the cabin are dangerous when wet and I have warnings posted on the gate to the stairs. It's really not safe, so use the river access from the beach or the county property at either end of the community. Other things to note Please respect quiet hours after 11PM-8AM outside due to neighbors living on either side.

This 2-bedroom riverfront cabin features mountain views and access to the water for seasonal fishing, rafting, floating or just lounging. Watch the wildlife including Eagles, Fish, Deer, Rabbits. Enjoy the fire pit at the Riverside Oasis, but please be safe. The cabin is located only 6 miles from Monroe, only 42 miles from Stevens Pass, and only 77 miles from the Leavenworth Adventure Park! The space The front bedroom has a bay window with comfortable bench seat, and an additional side window. A 6’ closet, ceiling fan, and luggage rack. The bed is a queen size with a log frame. High thread count sheets, comfortable pillows that the thickness can be adjusted and one side has a cooling pad. The back bedroom has a river view with a fun, oversized log bed frame, two 4’ closets, ceiling fan, and luggage rack. The bed is a queen size. You will have access to the 1 bathroom with a stand-alone shower, dual sink, toilet and spa-like soaking tub. This cabin retreat is 20 min to Stevens Pass & minutes to Wallace Falls State park, Lake Isabel, Lake Serene, and more, offering all year activities such as snowshoeing, skiing, kayaking, and hiking. Air mattress available for up to 4 guests total. Check-in at 4PM or later and Checkout by 11AM. Our cleaners are on a schedule and it takes a few hours to clean up each and every time. Out of respect for other guests and out cleaners, we ask that checkout is on time. The barrel sauna is now only exclusive to the main cabin guests to use at their leisure, no reservations required and no sharing with other rentals! The beds: the primary bedroom is a queen, twin bunk bed set in the second bedroom, and a queen-sized couch bed in the living room. we provide a mattress topper for additional comfort if needed. The second bedroom is the only room that has blackout curtains, so if needed please bring eye masks for sleeping. If you have mobility issues the stairs might present a challenge and don’t recommend using them (everything you need including a pullout couch bed is downstairs so going upstairs is not required.)

Although we do regular pest control and have stellar cleaning service, even the newest homes can have uninvited pests. If you already know the site of one will ruin your stay, take this opportunity to rebook your vacation in a setting not surrounded by wilderness. Otherwise, you are accepting in this agreement that you understand that occasional wildlife and insects not ordinarily seen in other settings may be on the property. Guests are expected to be prepared with aws / 4wd or chains to handle driving in inclement/ winter weather. Guests are expected to be able to manage common home operations such as resetting a breaker, unclogging a toilet or using the fireplace. Guests understand that internet and power outages are beyond management's control and although management can help report such outages, ongoing updates and resolutions come from the utility companies directly.  -Neighbors All our homes feel private, often surrounded by thick trees and wilderness, and hot tubs are all private- just for you- and situated so that you will feel like there is no one else around so guests return home feeling relaxed and refreshed. But- we are just an hour from Seattle and population continues to grow, so keep in mind that most of these homes are in communities with neighboring houses. "Secluded" in our area usually means off-grid with no power or water which are amenities we would prefer to provide!   -Utilities Our homes are all on wells or have systems that bring water from the river. It is then thoroughly filtered and all systems have been tested to assure it is potable water. However, minerals in the ground often may add an orange taint that can stain spas, toilets, sinks and tubs. Do not be alarmed, it is just something that happens when the water table changes.   Power outages may happen and are often resolved quite quickly unless caused by inclement weather. If your life depends on constant electricity or internet access, staying in the wilderness in a national forest is not advised. Well pumps are also run by electricity so in case of power outages, the water will also be out. We provide emergency lighting, some emergency water, water from spas can be poured in a toilet to flush and most homes have firewood for heat, so guests have the option to wait it out or depart and receive a 30% refund of the nights impacted as per Airbnb’s Extenuating Circumstances policy. We highly recommend purchasing trip insurance, especially during the months of inclement weather when outages can be frequent.  -River There is NOT river access from this property, community access is within walking distance. The river changes with the seasons, and each year banks and access points may change as well, so we are unable to make any guarantees on what the condition of the river or access will be but we do our best to maintain access during warmer months. Many of our homes are set between waterfalls. If you plan on navigating the river in boats or floats, please be sure you know the river well or contact someone that does (us, Alpine Adventures, or Outdoor Adventure Center). Children should never be unattended at the river (or in spas). Life jackets are recommended, especially for children, but not provided. The spring months of April - June/ early July tend to be the most dangerous because the weather gets hot, the river looks cool, and everyone wants to swim- but at these times the river is swift and cold from snow melt and the undercurrent is deadly. Please use caution! Please also make sure to check current fishing regulations if you plan on fishing.  -Usage Owners are sharing their private homes with you, so please honor this privilege by being a respectful guest and neighbor. Events, parties, or gatherings with non-paying guests are not allowed and occupancy is strictly enforced. Pets need to be kept on a leash when out and about and clean up your pet waste. Firearms and fireworks are strictly forbidden!! It is important we all follow these easy rules so counties and neighborhoods will continue to welcome vacation rentals and their guests. Gold Bar was originally occupied by the native Skykomish people to whom we honor as the original stewards of the land. Western prospectors later came in 1869 after miners found trace amounts of gold in the river gravel. Over time, Gold Bar became an offbeat getaway spot for those seeking to fish and hunt in the area. The property itself has evolved over many owners and renovations since first being constructed in 1956. The inquisitive eye might even notice the oddly placed electric panel located by the dining table. In an earlier stage of the property, that space was simply the garage and the entire wing of the cabin where the primary bedroom now resides did not exist. Somewhere on the property itself is also a buried concrete bunker from the Cold War era! In the more recent past, previous owners have attempted to use the property to live off the land with subsistence farming and raise horses, goats, and chickens. Enjoy river rafting or fishing from the property, and local hiking, skiing, and mountain climbing. The space The space is a 500 square foot, one loft bedroom cabin in a rustic setting just off of Highway 2 between Goldbar and Index. This small cabin is situated on two private acres with an expansive 150 feet of river frontage. The river can be accessed from the property via a trek down a rocky bank in several areas. The living space can comfortably accommodate 2 people with a maximum of 4 for a cozier experience. This would be ideal for a couple or friend retreat, or for a small family. The bedroom has two queen-sized beds in a half story, loft bedroom area that is accessed by a circular ladder type stairway. The ceiling is a slanted style which is eight feet high on one end, tapering down to four feet on the far end. The bedroom space has a TV and lounging area with an L shaped couch and a closet alcove. Downstairs is a small sitting area with a full size sofa, bathroom with shower and toilet, a kitchen area, and full sized washer/dryer. The kitchen has a medium sized refrigerator, and a toaster oven, small microwave, and hot plate for cooking meals. Outside, there is a deck off the front of the cabin, a firepit area, a small propane Weber grill, and a picnic table plus lots of room to explore small trails and river access and views. Guest access This is a private cabin with access to the river via trails through the front of the property and a climb down a rocky hillside. This is not easily traversed by all guests and could be hazardous for small children but does offer direct access to the Skykomish river. The property offers plenty of space to wander through the forest and enjoy river views. The driveway is shared by a private residence that is situated about 300 feet to one side of this cabin rental. Other things to note -The stairs are a bit tricky to navigate for some guests so we have built-in multiple hand rail supports to help guests to navigate the climb. -The property is located off a busy highway. Traffic can be heard from the cabin and pulling off and on can be tricky. There is a pull-off just opposite the entrance to the property that can be used to let fast-moving traffic pass. -There are train tracks located across the river from the property. Most people enjoy watching them pass but they do run during the day and sometimes at night. A noise canceling machine is provided for use at night.

Guests are expected to be prepared with aws / 4wd or chains to handle driving in inclement/ winter weather. Guests are expected to be able to manage common home operations such as resetting a breaker, unclogging a toilet or using the fireplace. Guests understand that internet and power outages are beyond management's control and although management can help report such outages, ongoing updates and resolutions come from the utility companies directly.  -Neighbors All our homes feel private, often surrounded by thick trees and wilderness, and hot tubs are all private- just for you- and situated so that you will feel like there is no one else around so guests return home feeling relaxed and refreshed. But- we are just an hour from Seattle and population continues to grow, so keep in mind that most of these homes are in communities with neighboring houses. "Secluded" in our area usually means off-grid with no power or water which are amenities we would prefer to provide!   -Utilities Our homes are all on wells or have systems that bring water from the river. It is then thoroughly filtered and all systems have been tested to assure it is potable water. However, minerals in the ground often may add an orange taint that can stain spas, toilets, sinks and tubs. Do not be alarmed, it is just something that happens when the water table changes.   Power outages may happen and are often resolved quite quickly unless caused by inclement weather. If your life depends on constant electricity or internet access, staying in the wilderness in a national forest is not advised. Well pumps are also run by electricity so in case of power outages, the water will also be out. We provide emergency lighting, some emergency water, water from spas can be poured in a toilet to flush and most homes have firewood for heat, so guests have the option to wait it out or depart and receive a 30% refund of the nights impacted as per Airbnb’s Extenuating Circumstances policy. We highly recommend purchasing trip insurance, especially during the months of inclement weather when outages can be frequent.  -River There is NOT river access from this property, community access is within walking distance. The river changes with the seasons, and each year banks and access points may change as well, so we are unable to make any guarantees on what the condition of the river or access will be but we do our best to maintain access during warmer months. Many of our homes are set between waterfalls. If you plan on navigating the river in boats or floats, please be sure you know the river well or contact someone that does (us, Alpine Adventures, or Outdoor Adventure Center). Children should never be unattended at the river (or in spas). Life jackets are recommended, especially for children, but not provided. The spring months of April - June/ early July tend to be the most dangerous because the weather gets hot, the river looks cool, and everyone wants to swim- but at these times the river is swift and cold from snow melt and the undercurrent is deadly. Please use caution! Please also make sure to check current fishing regulations if you plan on fishing.  -Usage Owners are sharing their private homes with you, so please honor this privilege by being a respectful guest and neighbor. Events, parties, or gatherings with non-paying guests are not allowed and occupancy is strictly enforced. Pets need to be kept on a leash when out and about and clean up your pet waste.
