You can park right on the driveway with space for approximately four cars and more roadside parking as needed. You have access to all of the rooms and amenities, including the full-size washer and dryer, high-speed WiFi, children's equipment, bathroom and kitchen essentials, espresso machine, and propane grill. We even provide propane and grilling utensils. From here, you're just minutes to local grocery stores, hiking trails, coffee shops, breweries, Mountain boutiques, and all of the popular attractions in Asheville. ☆☆ ACCESSIBILITY & STAIRS ☆☆ The kitchen is upstairs, so guests who are not able to use stairs will not have easy access to the upstairs area. However, when we remodeled the downstairs, we made considerations for accessibility. The downstairs entrance door is 36” wide. The bedroom downstairs, as well as the guest bathroom downstairs both, have 36” wide doors. The downstairs guest bathroom has a step-in shower. There is a table downstairs that could be used for dining, and also a small refrigerator. While this house is not fully accessible, many concessions have been made to the downstairs to make this house as accessible as possible. There is even the possibility of accessing the back deck by going around the side of the house if you have a mobile ramp. There are grab bars in the shower downstairs. Please reach out to us with your specific needs and we would love to try and provide accommodations. Other things to note Take note that the kitchen is upstairs. If you have travelers who are not able to do stairs this might not be the best location. The downstairs is accessible with 36” doorways into the house, into the bedroom, and into one bathroom. Not officially ADA, but wide doorways and a table downstairs that could be used for dining. This is a fantastic place for non-crawling infants and kids. However, for crawling babies and toddlers who do not have an awareness of stairs, be aware that this house has stairs and the main living area is upstairs. There is a door leading to the stairway that goes downstairs as well as a baby gate. If you have a large group and it's hard to ensure the stairway door stays closed or baby gate is closed it could be hazardous to a crawling baby who might fall down the stairs. Once you’re on the driveway which is .5 mile of concrete all the way up. You will arrive at the beautiful property which dead ends on the edge of the forest. There is a lot to do outside while enjoying the Mountain View’s. A large fire pit, Pizza oven, grill area, large water falls and Koi pond. If you just want to sit outside and enjoy, please take advantage of the outdoor sitting areas. There are three deck areas as well as a covered wrap around porch with views all around. It is truly a space to capture the moment and remember for years to come. Upon entering the newly updated home, with new windows, furniture, beds in many rooms, and all new kitchen high end appliances, you will realize you are home. Other things to note Our cabin is surrounded by woods. The last 1.3 miles are on a rough dirt road that is sometimes in good condition, sometimes not so much. This last bit of the drive is bumpy, but you'll be fine in any car if you drive slowly. The dirt road takes about 5-6 minutes to travel.

The entrance to this unit is adjacent to the deck stairs and adds a nice separated option for guests who may prefer a little privacy from the rest of the group. The home sits on 3.15 acres accented by a small creek at the back of the property and some modest walking trails cut throughout the area. The space Our main floor features an open design floorplan including a large living area with gas fireplace, a fully stocked kitchen with bar top and four barstools. Also included is the dining area with seating for six. A leaf is available providing extra seating upon request. The main floor also has an office furnished with a full-size desk and chair. This room also includes a twin bed with a trundle for additional sleeping space. The master bedroom has a king size bed, electric fireplace, and full bath featuring a large standalone soaking tub and shower. Bedroom room two offers a full-size bed and bedroom three has a queen size bed; these share a full bath with shower. The tankless water heater assures you’ll never run out of hot water! The road up the mountain is paved in some areas and gravel in others. As is typical for country mountain roads, an SUV is preferred. In snow and very wet weather, four-wheel drive is needed. The space The house has a main-floor master bedroom with a king-size bed and ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower. The living room and dining area, is open concept with plenty of room for seating. There is a 47 inch tv in the living room. The TV has Roku streaming available. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked with dishes, pots, and pans, as well as spices and other cooking supplies. There is also a main-floor half bath, laundry, and a sunroom with a table for four and small lounging area with a tv with Roku streaming. The second floor overlooks the living room and dining area. There is a king-size bedroom with an attached sleeping room (two twin beds) accessed through the closet. There is also an office/bedroom with a queen-size sleeper sofa, desk, and bluetooth printer. The hall bathroom has a tub shower combo. Guest access The house is located in the residential section of a Camp and Conference Center. From mid-May through early August, guests are not permitted in the camp areas. You are welcome to walk the residential roads or view the small lake from the dam. During the off-season, you are welcome to walk the roads of the whole camp. Prior to your arrival, you will receive the neighborhood gate code, as well as, the garage door and front door codes. I will send directions to get to the house. Some GPS maps are not accurate due to roads being blocked off during camp. Guests are welcome to use the garage, driveway or gravel area for parking. The driveway is very narrow. Extra Large Trucks or SUVs may have trouble entering and/or exiting the driveway. Please contact me if you have an oversized vehicle. You will have access to the entire house, except for the locked closets. Other things to note The house is located in the residential section of a Camp and Conference Center. The speed limit is 15 mph. From mid-May through early August, guests are not permitted in the camp areas. You are welcome to walk the residential roads or view the small lake from the dam. During the off-season, you are welcome to walk the roads of the whole camp. There is lots of wildlife from birds and squirrels to rabbits and groundhogs. Even an occasional fox, bear, or deer. Please feel free to read any of the books or use the games, puzzles, and/or toys while you are staying at the house.

The Chalet at Winghaven is a new, spacious, sunny log home. Close to Asheville and all its attractions, the chalet is surrounded by 38 acres of picturesque hardwood forest. Amazingly this private oasis is very close to shopping & restaurants! The Chalet is family friendly, dog friendly and also perfect for a private couple's retreat. The space Open the sliding glass door of the spacious MASTER SUITE to enjoy the mountain air or relax with a glass of wine on the covered porch. Sleeping in the LOFT BEDROOM with its own private full bathroom feels like being away from it all, up in the trees. Guests of all ages enjoy the BUNK ROOM which is adjacent to another full bathroom which features a washer and dryer. The open kitchen /dining / living space with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams is bright and airy during the day and cozy at night with a fire in the danish wood stove. Or if you prefer the outdoors gather around a campfire in the backyard for a perfect ending of the day. Please note we provide split firewood for the wood stove only (October through March). You are welcome to gather wood for the fire pit on the property or purchase and bring in your own. Other things to note We looked for a long time to find the ideal vacation rental property here in our beautiful area. We were not satisfied with what we could find, so we decided to build it ourselves! The chalet is near our own home, but we still feel like we are on vacation every time we go up there, even though we go there mostly to work! We love the seclusion and privacy of a large property, but we don't like to drive forever to pick up some groceries, go to a restaurant or enjoy the culture of our region. One of the most important aspects in our search for the perfect vacation spot was that the home needed to be sunny and bright. When we found this amazing piece of land it was just a perfect fit. We love the special feeling and connection to nature that only a log home can offer, so this is what we built and we feel that it fits its location amazingly well.
