Downstairs is a very cool hangout space with a 65 inch TV, air hockey table, shuffleboard/bowling table, lots of board games to play and the cutest hidden kids space!! The oversized porch upstairs has everything to enjoy the most amazing views you will ever see! An outdoor stone fireplace, 65 inch TV, seating for 16 people! It has everything you could hope for! The home is about 40 minutes from downtown Asheville but Hendersonville has so much you may never need to go to Asheville! You will also pass several signs about no trespassing but keep coming up the mountain. Please be careful to not use 36 Cedar Knob for any turnaround. A car is needed to get around but Uber comes out when needed as well. Our home is a peaceful retreat while convenient to Asheville and the parkway. We have gorgeous views, wildlife, privacy, and can get to a grocery store in about 5 minutes. Our driveway is steep, but as of 2025 almost entirely paved. However, when we remodeled the downstairs, we made considerations for accessibility. The downstairs entrance door is 36” wide. The bedroom downstairs, as well as the guest bathroom downstairs both, have 36” wide doors. The downstairs guest bathroom has a step-in shower. There is a table downstairs that could be used for dining, and also a small refrigerator. While this house is not fully accessible, many concessions have been made to the downstairs to make this house as accessible as possible. There is even the possibility of accessing the back deck by going around the side of the house if you have a mobile ramp. There are grab bars in the shower downstairs. Please reach out to us with your specific needs and we would love to try and provide accommodations. Other things to note Take note that the kitchen is upstairs. If you have travelers who are not able to do stairs this might not be the best location. The downstairs is accessible with 36” doorways into the house, into the bedroom, and into one bathroom. Not officially ADA, but wide doorways and a table downstairs that could be used for dining. This is a fantastic place for non-crawling infants and kids. However, for crawling babies and toddlers who do not have an awareness of stairs, be aware that this house has stairs and the main living area is upstairs. There is a door leading to the stairway that goes downstairs as well as a baby gate. If you have a large group and it's hard to ensure the stairway door stays closed or baby gate is closed it could be hazardous to a crawling baby who might fall down the stairs. The setting and views cannot be fully explained without experiencing for yourself. The space As you travel closer and closer to the Estate you will realize the true wonder of the area. It is located on the edge of a cluster of mountains Wethero Mountain, Bank Mountain, Bald Top Mountain and Bearwallow Mountain. Once you’re on the driveway which is .5 mile of concrete all the way up. You will arrive at the beautiful property which dead ends on the edge of the forest. There is a lot to do outside while enjoying the Mountain View’s. A large fire pit, Pizza oven, grill area, large water falls and Koi pond. If you just want to sit outside and enjoy, please take advantage of the outdoor sitting areas. There are three deck areas as well as a covered wrap around porch with views all around. It is truly a space to capture the moment and remember for years to come. Upon entering the newly updated home, with new windows, furniture, beds in many rooms, and all new kitchen high end appliances, you will realize you are home. The porches for morning coffee, evening cigars or anything in between all surrounded by views of a lifetime. We also have a full size pool table and sticks. The game room is a work in progress.
