It’s an ideal space to relax with friends and family, enjoy conversation, or sip pre-dinner cocktails or a night cap. Following the cement path takes you to the hot tub, which seats 6, and to the entrance of the swimming pool and pool house at Westover Reserve. The inground pool and pool house are usable YEAR-ROUND. In warmer months, the pool’s large cement deck offers sunny as well as shaded seating. With small children in mind, gates to the pool and hot tub have self-closing and self-locking mechanisms, with latches placed out of reach and railing designs that prevent climbing. The pool is heated as needed throughout the year, though not typically during hot summer months. In late fall, winter, and early spring, the pool is enclosed with a telescoping structure, making it the only outdoor pool in the area available year-round. The pool house features additional amenities: a changing area; men’s and women’s bathroom stalls; a shower; a single sink vanity; and a full kitchen with a small sink, basic dish set, silverware, serving pieces, a blender, knife set, full-size refrigerator, and microwave. General checkout procedures are to lock the doors, close the windows, leave dishes clean or at least in the dishwasher, and leave used beds undone and used towels in the floor. Generally tidy up the place and leave it the way you found it. We've seen birds, mice, spiders, skunks and other critters at the property. Come visit! The space MacAttie Acres so much more to offer than just the Bourbon Trail. The home is located on over 200 acres that houses 6 to 8 horses 🐎 , 30 cows, a creek, a pavilion, a wood burning fire pit by the creek and lots of places to walk or hike. Needing to get away from the bustle of life for a moment and want privacy? You can do that on MacAttie Acres! The house has an open floor plan which is great for a large family or group gatherings! Read the reviews and check out the pictures. The pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The horses in the paddocks love attention and love to be petted. Just remember they are animals and are easily excited. Please do not enter the paddocks, open the gates or feed them anything. No swinging arms or being aggressive towards them. Pet them at your own risk. Walk past the paddock to relax by the creek or build a fire in the fire pit. Wood is provided and a striker is located in the kitchen drawer. A charming 22-acre slice of history, was once part of a massive 1000-acre farm gifted to the Richardson family in the late 1800s post-war. Mark and Cindy Crutcher, the current owners, reside on the neighboring 180 acres. Mark proudly carries on the family legacy as an 8th generation owner of these lands. In 2003, they acquired 180 acres and in 2023, they expanded their domain by purchasing MacAttie Acres. This picturesque horse farm with a babbling creek, horse havens, and rustic barns was lovingly named after their two grandchildren, Malachi "Mac" and Atalie "Attie." The barns, painted a cheerful red, stand as sentinels of the past, each beam and plank whispering stories of yesteryears. The creek, with its crystal-clear waters, winds through the property, offering a serene spot for picnics and quiet reflection. Keeneland 18 miles away. The space Wild Rose Inn is our newly renovated home, offering the perfect location from which to base your Bluegrass adventures! This spacious property offers ample room for both play and privacy. Hang out in the parlor for a game of pool, darts or maybe some chess? Relax in the open living/dining area, with smart tv, bar, and a huge farmhouse table. The kitchen is fully equipped with all new appliances, cookware and coffee station. Double doors lead out of the kitchen to the wrap around porch, providing tons of light indoors and a cool hang out spot outside.
