It is close to the main highway US-31, but is tucked behind a row of trees to help with the noise and privacy. There is a shared access point to Crooked Lake at the end of of the private drive. Kayaks are available for your use, the main bike path is across the road, and marina is in walking distance. Guest access You’ll have access to the entire house and backyard. You can also utilize the shared lake access point at the end of Cedar Lane. Other things to note You will have access to the lake at the end of the drive, but the docks are private docks that you will not have access to.

Originally a five-room inn with flowing artesian wells that provided water to all three floors, it was purchased in 1908 and renamed the Conway Inn, offering three stories of hospitality and even an eight-stall boathouse on the lake. Though the original building was lost to fire in 1914, its subsequent new owners restored its Inland House name, and its legacy lives on still today. In 2002, the property was thoughtfully converted into condominiums. Large deck, firepit and short walk to trails and outdoor pool/clubhouse. ROOM ENOUGH FOR TWO - 25 minutes south of Mackinaw City and 15 minutes north of Petoskey. Close to Indian River. Two minutes to small town of Alanson, bike path, laundromat, bakery, Marathon gas, grocery, and restaurants. The space This is a cozy one-bedroom with a kitchen, full bath, and living room with nice big windows. Full-size bed with new linens and pillows. Fully-equipped kitchen has microwave, utensils, dishes, cups and glasses, pots and pans, bowls, paper products, and more. A large deck gives you extra room on warm, sunny days. Free parking on-site. An 80s interior that's in super shape! I've been told it looks way better on the inside and nicer than the photos. We spring deep-clean each spring and I'm persnickity keeping it clean and hair-free throughout the season. Feel free to use the barbeque and fire pit. Firewood for sale on site. It is not rented in winter but has forced air heat for chillier days. The refrigerator is stocked with staples like butter, bagels or bread, and ice. Ground coffee, coffee grinder, tea, and teapot. Spectrum Cable TV and WIFI Guest access The place is all yours and parking is free. Please use driveway, and do not park in the road. Only two cars to this spot and both must be parked in driveway. Once you book, more information will be available for you to enter the unit. You have access to the pool (until Labor Day) and showers/bathroom at the office/clubhouse. I just ask that you don’t enter the home dripping wet from the pool. Their bathroom facilities are nice and big for changing and showering if you choose. Other things to note The stove is gas and we will turn on the propane for you as well as the water heater. I will light the pilots so all you have to do is turn on the stove. On chilly days I will turn on the heat and ask that you turn it down before you leave.

The space The location is ideally situated five miles from historic Petoskey, three miles to Petoskey State Park, and a block to the North Western State Trail, a 32-mile hike and bike path from M-119 to Mackinaw City! The North Western State Trail connects to the Little Traverse Wheelway, a 26-mile paved path that skirts the water’s edge from Charlevoix through Bay Harbor, Petoskey and into Harbor Springs. For winter sports, Nub's Nob and the Highlands are only six miles away! Guest access We have keyless entry available. Rosebud Cottage is located in a peaceful part of Northern Michigan, where you can enjoy the wildlife. Centrally located for a day trip to Mackinac Island, shopping in Petoskey or strolling Harbor Springs. For golf enthusiasts we have 6 top rated golf courses within 8 miles of the Cottage, most being at Boyne Highlands. We are also within 10 minutes of both Burt Lake and Crooked Lake. The Cottage is suited for a couple or two adults and two children, to sleep on a full size sofa bed. The space This cute one bedroom, one bathroom, little house, is perfect for 2 adults. It would work for 2 adults and maximum of 2 children or 3 adults. The living room has a sofa sleeper that is a full/double size mattress. The dining table has seating for 2, but we can supply 1-2 more chairs if needed. Guest access You will have full use of our little house, the deck on the front and a small yard in front of the house. Parking is in front of the house too. Other things to note Absolutely No Pets allowed. No smoking or vaping in house. No candles allowed inside of house.

Wilderness Safety & Hunting Season Our property is surrounded by beautiful state land filled with wildlife, including black bears, coyotes, and other animals. Please stay alert when exploring and be mindful of ticks during warmer months. 🦺 Hunting Seasons: State land is actively used during hunting seasons. Small game hunting is open year-round, and other seasons vary. For your safety, wear blaze orange when walking on state land during hunting seasons or avoid the area altogether. Always check the Michigan DNR website for the latest regulations. Important: While we do hunt our own land, guests are not permitted to hunt, or to use any tree stands or ground blinds on our private property. 🔔 Summer Logging Notice: Selective logging may occur on the back 80 acres of surrounding land this summer. If it happens during your stay, it could lead to some daytime noise. While it’s outside of our control, we’ll keep you updated if any activity is scheduled. Winter Bookings (Nov 15 – Mid May) In the winter months, the cabin becomes a true off-grid adventure: The cabin is located at the back of the property—if there’s snow, guests will need to hike in (possibly with snowshoes). Our driveway and road can be extremely slippery or icy. If conditions are unsafe, you may need to park at an alternate spot off the main road and walk in. Please plan accordingly. Heating is provided only by the wood stove—no other heat source is available. Solar power is limited in winter, so please bring extra battery-powered lanterns and chargers. All running water is shut down for the season. You'll need to bring your own water or melt snow for basic needs.

Primitive Off-Grid Cabin • Wood Stove Glamping

Welcome to the Upper Deck! This above garage unit has been extensively updated and is located directly across from Boyne Highlands Golf Center access. Featuring one queen bedroom, a spacious bathroom and open concept living / kitchen area, the space is compact and efficient, but perfect for 1-2 people (4 including the queen futon, but that’s going to be cozy!) The space This space offers an open layout kitchen / living area, full bathroom with walk in shower, and queen bed tucked around the corner from the living area / bathroom. The space is really ideal for 2 people, but there is a futon in the living room for a total of 4 sleepers if you want to pack in. Guest access You have access to the above garage apartment and corresponding back deck of the garage. There are other portions of the property that are off limits and used by other renters at the main house.

Upper Deck: Boyne Carriage House

The Apple House is an updated and furnished 1928, 1100 sq ft cottage. It is in a private wooded location on 15 acres, set 500 ft off the road. The space is light and airy with ceiling fans and has central heat and air for your comfort. Enjoy the pastoral view from the sunroom, cook in the well equipped kitchen, and enjoy your beverages from the wine fridge. There is a 55" Smart TV with a Xumo streaming device with Spectum TV and WiFi. Guest access You will have the entire house to yourselves. Other things to note The Apple House sits on 15 acres which used to be part of our great grandparents' farm. They came from Sweden, settled near Chicago, then moved to Alanson to manage the farm. Our grandpa and his brothers and sister grew up on the farm. The original farmhouse still sits on the adjacent property, but is owned by someone else. We were unable to keep it due to upkeep issues and not having anyone on site. When we were children, we would stay at the farmhouse in the summer for a few weeks. We would play in the old red barn that used to be there (see painting under TV credenza), pick red raspberries in the field leftover from the farm, swim in Burt Lake and Lake Michigan, and hunt for Petoskey stones. We always had a wonderful time! Around 1980, our parents converted the Apple House into a cottage. There used to be an apple orchard on the farm, and this building is where they would store the apples in the basement during the winter, to then sell in the warmer months. The story goes that in 1934, there was a freak heat wave in February, and sap started flowing out of the apple trees. Then the temperature dropped suddenly to 40 below zero and the apple trees exploded! Our great grandpa was so frustrated that he did not replant the apple trees. Only two or so remain around the cottage. They are Northern Spy trees, and our mother used to pick the apples, make pies, and freeze them so she and our dad could enjoy them throughout the year. Hence the name the Apple House!

Unwind after a long day of skiing or hiking in your own private whirlpool and sauna. This space is the downstairs of our home with a private entrance and garage and is not shared with the rest of the home. The space This private suite is the downstairs floor of our home. There is a main room with a queen bed and sofa for lounging. There is a table area for workspace and laptop. The large bathroom includes the whirlpool and sauna (private), which is not shared with the rest of the house. Secure Parking available in garage. There is space outside for boat trailers or motorbikes or four-wheelers. * It should be noted this is a "quiet neighborhood" but recreational vehicles can be driven in/out of subdivision. There is a 20 mile speed limit. Quiet hours 11pm - 7:00am Guest access The suite has a private entrance. This suite is all on one level with one step from the garage to the suite. EXCELLENT VIEWS OF THE BAY IN DOWNTOWN PETOSKEY - WHERE YOU WANT TO BE In 2018 we added "Sunset Glory Too" along with "Sunset Glory". Everything is new and updated. Now there are two separate and private vacation rentals enjoying the same excellent location. It is also an opportunity for families or friends to book both of our apartments to extend their getaway into one large private area. These are the only two vacation rentals on our property. The space Enjoy the open floor plan, solid hickory hardwood floors, and a well equipped kitchen with quartz counters, large snack bar and a built in desk. There is a 46 " television set, as well as central air conditioning. There is also an onsite laundry room, located off the outer hallway. Both of the second floor apartments are handicap accessible with a rail stair chair. Other things to note Sunset Glory Too has been inspected and licensed by the City of Petoskey as a vacational rental, and is in compliance with the local ordinances.

Ever wanted to wake up with mini donkeys in your front yard? Welp, then this “glamping” experience if for you. The bunkhouse is fancy camping at its finest. The space This is a luxury camping experience. The adorable bunkhouse sits on the back of my 3 acre property-about 100 yards behind my house. I have electricity running to the bunkhouse. There is no running water. The bathroom is an outhouse building-about 20 feet from the bunkhouse-with a composting toilet inside. (See photos). You'll be secluded enough to have plenty of your own open space and not see my house. My donkeys, sheep and ducks are accessible to interact with. The neighbors horses make for a great view next door. The short drive back to the bunkhouse is a calm two track so you can drive your vehicle right to the front door. There is a firm queen mattress in the loft that sits above the porch. Please note, steep steps/ladder take you up to the bed. I have an AC window unit, small refrigerator, fans and an outdoor firepit available for you. Guest access The bunkhouse is on the back of my property. You will pull into the driveway of my house but continue down past my house on a narrow “road” that is mowed that will take you to the bunkhouse. Once down there you can park anywhere. Other things to note If not familiar, please look up what a "composting toilet" is. There is no running water to the bunkhouse. This is a glamping experience. No wifi. Must climb steep steps to access bed in the loft. You’re welcome to visit the farm animals but closing the gate behind you is very important :)

Sunflower Bunk House @ortliebfarmhouse

Newly remodeled A Frame Cabin in the woods of Hidden Hamlet in Harbor Springs, Michigan. Located in the little neighborhood at the base of Nubs Nob Ski Resort, this is a peaceful and quiet neighborhood surrounded by beautiful trees. Currently we are renting this as an open bedroom loft with a queen bed. There is also a pull out sofa sleeper on the main floor, but you know the comfort level of those... Check us out on Instagram @potters_cottage The space This space was just renovated by my husband and me this summer, we are still working out the kinks. It is a warm and cozy cabin with a NEW furnace, but there are little things here and there that we haven’t finished such as trim in bathrooms. There are also no bathroom mirrors yet. There is NO TV. NO WIFI. This is a quiet peaceful getaway cabin with very little ammenities. At this time, the FIREPLACE is not available for guest use. Thank you for understanding! We are brand new to the rental game...please make helpful suggestions, but don't be too hard on us:) Guest access There is an open loft bedroom with a brand new queen bed, and a leather couch that has a sofa sleeper in living area. No TV. No WiFi. *Please note there are very large windows on both the front and the back of the house. It's really what makes the house special. The bathroom has privacy glass but some people have mentioned they do not like the lack of privacy. The windows are my favorite part and I love waking up and seeing the trees on both sides of the loft- however please be aware. Under counter refrigerators in kitchen and gas stove, coffee maker and thats about it for appliances. The BASEMENT is our personal area. We ask that you please respect it and do not hang out down there. Please do not sleep in the basement, this area is not finished and if my cleaning crew has to clean it, they charge me and I will have to deduct that from your security deposit. We really want to remain PET FRIENDLY so please treat our home with love and respect and clean up after your pet. Thanks! Other things to note As of now, this is a bare bones cabin, meant for relaxation and peace. Please be prepared to enjoy being slightly "off the grid". I have T Mobile and my service is pretty good, I think AT&T is also adequate. We will eventually be adding TVs and more amenities, until then, she's pretty simple. Please know that anything above and beyond "normal" wear and tear on our house such as blood, vomit, excessive pet messes or anything similar will result in you forfeiting part or all of your security deposit. In order to keep our place nice for guests and for ourselves we pay a lot to make sure it stays the way. Thanks for understanding.

A Unique Piece of Northern Michigan History Loons’ Nest Landing is part of the historic Inland House, a beloved landmark that’s been welcoming guests since 1879. Originally a five-room inn with flowing artesian wells that provided water to all three floors, it was purchased in 1908 and renamed the Conway Inn, offering three stories of hospitality and even an eight-stall boathouse on the lake. Though the original building was lost to fire in 1914, its subsequent new owners restored its Inland House name, and its legacy lives on still today. In 2002, the property was thoughtfully converted into condominiums.
