We have dreamed of owning a home on the beach for years and we are so thrilled to see this dream realized. We named our home "Eden's Waters" after our daughter and because it is simply paradise here! We have vacationed in Florida in the past and just recently became aware of the Fort Morgan area and we have to agree that it has the BEST beaches! White sugar, squeaky clean sand, and so secluded. We want your family to make their special vacation memories here at our home. **** Unique Benefits of this home: Since the property is in a Gated subdivision (we will give you the gate code!), we all share in the amenities of the subdivision on the property including a large community pool and gym. Our home comes with a private heated pool (not a hot tub!) and three decks to soak up the sun. Plan about a 5 min walk time. If you want major outlet shopping or more night activity, Downtown Gulf Shores is 18 miles East. Although Downtown is 18 miles away, we want to be very clear and transparent that you will need to budget about 30 min driving there and back based on traffic and distance. If you want to plan a trip to Foley which is further North, plan for a total of 45 min. Our home is in a great remote spot away from crowds so expect longer drive time. However though, there are many restaurants now closer than downtown and several markets for basic food and pantry items. We are only 1 mile from Ft. Morgan and the Ferry to Dauphin Island. We are excited to offer you luxury services at our home! What this means is there are three additional services you can purchase for our home to truly make your stay as easy and relaxing as possible. The services are a grocery deliver, baby or child items, and all beach equipment anyone would need to enjoy the beach. 1) Grocery - simple order what you want via a Kroger or Walmart pick up and our staff will delivery and stock all of your groceries in the home before you arrive. I cannot tell you have amazing it is to arrive and have all of your grocery or staple items already there and ready for you to enjoy. We highly recommend this. 2) Baby/Child - are you stressed about gates, high chairs, or pack n plays? Simply tell us what you want and our staff will provide. Whatever you need (within reason!) to ensure your child has a sleeping arrangement, chair, or gate, our staff will provide. This can drastically reduce the amount of space required to pack when you do not have to bring a crib with you. Talk to us and see what is possible. Anything Walmart carries, for example, is available for you and will be dropped off at the home before you arrive. 3) Beach - don't want to bring a tent, chairs, boards, etc? Our beach service option will provide you and your family with whatever you need to have the best time without having to worry about bringing all of your beach accessories with you. For any guest who rents in June & July will provide this beach accessories service for free! You can easily search for their site and location online. Other things to note Here is a general running list of FAQ's to help you know what to expect: Q: Is this home owned by a company? A: No, we are a family and this home is apart of our family business. We want to beat all of your expectations and we can/will do what we can to ensure you have the best time at our home. We respond lightening fast to all messages and we have a Property Manager, a contractor, a maintenance manager, and a housekeeping service that can help you if there is any issue with the home. We want to know how we can remedy any and every barrier. We do not live though in Gulf Shores but the Property Manager (Sunset Properties) is onsite right by the front gate. However we cannot emphasize enough that we welcome all communication and you can message us for a quick response if the property manager is not able to be contacted quickly. Q: You have an elevator? A: Yes and it works but it is slow and the elevator has a lot of safety mechanisms. If the instructions are not followed exactly (these instructions are posted on the wall of the elevator) the elevator will not work. Most of the time the reason is because a door on one of the floors is not fully closed. Each door on every floor that leads to the elevator must be fully closed or the elevator will not work. Also, if the sliding door in the elevator is not fully closed the elevator will not move. Remedying these issues will 99% of the time restore the elevator to working order. Finally, if there is ever a problem where someone trips a safety feature and the elevator stops between floors, we can help you quickly trouble shoot the situation and walk you through what to do. Please don't hesitate to message us or call the PM. Q: Are you beach front? A: Yes we are but we do have a boardwalk that protects the dunes in front of our home. If every home had their own walkway to the beach, Hurricanes (like Sally that hit us in 2020) would cause a lot more damage to our home and the beach itself. The boardwalk as of the time of writing was just rebuilt and looks great. However, understand that shoes should always be worn when walking on it. The boardwalk has two access points to the beach and from our home both are equal distance. Its less than a 2 mints walk to the left or right on the board walk to the sand of the beach. Q: Are there bugs at the beach? A: Yes...its warm and its the south. There are bugs everywhere but what helps at our home is first of all the wind from the beach will keep some insects away and second, we spray our home routinely for insects and for terminates. One thing that can help our home and your stay is to ensure not to leave food on the floors as every home in the south will attract roaches or ants if there is food consistently left on the floors. This is true for our home in TN where we live. But again, we spray routinely using a pest control company company. If there is ever, ever an issue with bugs inside or outside talk to us or our PM ASAP. We can advise or call a pest company immediately to come out to help control any situation. Please refer as well to our housekeeping guide for our cleaners that shows how we will empty out the pantry, fridge, etc after every guests, no exceptions, and sweep/clean every floor in the home to remove all remnants of food. This is our personal home and we will ensure we do what must to keep the home clean and free of all pests that we can living in such a warm and wet climate. Q: What should I expect with a gated community? (Pool?) A: You can expect better security first of all. Our beach and home is not open to the public. You also have access to the community pool that also includes a hot tub. Finally, there is a work out room (its small) in one of the condominiums that is accessible to you. There are two total condominiums that are at the front of the community that are owned by individuals who rent them out who do have access to the beach though the overall public does not. Q: Do you have two refrigerators and all Kitchen accessories? A: Yes. We have two refrigerators and a lot of kitchen appliances, dishes, and coffee makers. We have notated on Airbnb almost everything that is in the home but please ask if you have a specific need. We can usually ensure you have it there before you arrive. Also, all of our drawers and cabinets are labeled specifically for what should be where. If there is something missing, we will replace immediately. For example, we have a cabinet labeled "crockpot" for where the crockpot goes. If you arrive and there is not a crockpot where the label is, we will replace. You can expect the kitchen to have most if not all you would need for your friends and family to functionally use the kitchen as needed. Q: How many vehicles can park under the home? A: There are 6 total parking spots under the home. But, the space is tight. What we do is use one side of the home for parking and we personally park our car down the street in one of the 30 parking spots in front of the board walk. This way we can play cornhole underneath our home. So, there is a lot of parking! We love that there are so many community parking spots so close to our home so we can easily use the underneath side of our home for games. Q: Do you have a grill? A: Yes. It is a charcoal grill though. We paid for a really nice, expensive Aluminum grill that should be rust resistant. However, the salt air destroys everything. Everything at the beach is in a slow progression of decay (sounds sad but its just how it is, beach homes require constant maintenance). The outside of the grill may look great but the inside will have some rust. Plan to use aluminum foil where you would place your food inside the grill. Q: What do you mean by breaking the elevator can result in a repair fine? A: Only adults should use the elevator. If guests do not follow the rules that are provided with pictures the elevator can require a service call to repair. There are many safety latches and settings to ensure guests are safe and if guests do not operate the elevator correctly then we have to repair. Repair jobs on the weekends can be significantly expense but weekday repairs are not cheap either. The instructions for how to operate the elevator are o the first floor with pictures. It is very simple to operate the elevator. On all four floors ensure the four elevator doors are closed. Then press the button for the floor you want. Our housekeepers are the final authority for the elevator. Either it works or it doesn’t when they begin to clean and they will notify me. I will contact the customer and proceed accordingly.
