Located only 25 minutes from the West entrance to Yellowstone Park. Forget about cold feet with heated tile floors. Great for ATV/snowmobile trips with close access to the trail system nearby! The space This beautiful cabin has 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and sleeps 18! The master bedroom on the main floor features a king-size bed. The upstairs bedrooms feature a queen and twin bed in each. Both downstairs bedrooms have a queen and a bunk bed. The loft area upstairs has a queen and two twin beds so there's room for the whole group to sleep! The kitchen is equipped with basic cooking utensils, along with plenty of dining space for the whole group. The main living area has a couple of comfy couches and beautiful gas fireplace. Down the hall is lots of wall space with hooks to hang up everyone's coats and gear. Around the corner is a washer and dryer set to make you feel right at home. There's also a spacious wrap around deck with the hot tub, where you can sit and relax as you watch the sun set. The basement living room has several couches and a smart TV so everyone can watch a movie together. The Loft space upstairs has a fun play area that kids will love and walks out onto the balcony with amazing sun set views over Sawtelle mountain! The cabin is located in a new area off the old highway, making it close to everything! Short driving distance (25 minutes) to the West entrance of Yellowstone, (5 minutes) to the golf course or gas station/grocery store. Also great access to trails for ATVs/snowmobiles located just off the old highway. WiFi, towels, sheets, toilet paper, paper towels, are included. Pull through drive way with lots of parking space and room for ATV/snowmobile trailers all year round! (RVs and camper trailers aren't allowed) One or two dogs are welcome. The pet fee is $20 per dog per night. And we require that they never get on the furniture or beds. Even good dogs can get anxious when left alone in a new place and that is when they damage things. So your dog must be in a crate if you leave him behind in the cabin. (We do not provide the crate.) To keep the cabin beautiful, you are responsible to pay for any damage caused by your dog. Because the extra cleaning will interfere with the cabin being ready for guests later that day, if there is damage or dog hair on the beds or furniture, then the extra cost is a minimum of $100. Guest access You'll have access to the entire cabin including the hot tub, grill, fire pit, washer/dryer, and the parking space outside! (RV's and camper trailers not allowed) Usually, there is propane for the grill and some wood to burn near the fire pit. If not, you're responsible for filling up the propane tank or getting fire wood at Robins Roost gas station just a couple minutes away. We also ask that you do a small list of tasks before you checkout to keep the cleaning cost low, and to ensure our cleaning service has enough time to get everything ready between guests. Other things to note We ask that you do a couple simple things when checking out like take your trash to dumpster outside, load and start dishwasher, wash towels and leave them drying, pull sheets off of beds that are slept in and leave them on beds. The home will sleep up to 15 guests, is located next to the golf course and is just 2 minutes from the new local grocery store. Henry’s Lake is 10 minutes up Highway 20 and Yellowstone National park is only a 25 minute drive. Your group can also enjoy grilling dinner for the family on the back deck while you enjoy the stunning view of Mount Two Top. The space The main level of the home features a large kitchen with an eight-person dining table, a beautiful sitting area and a large family room for everyone to enjoy time together. Up a half flight of stairs is the master bedroom with a king bed, walk-in closet, TV and a private attached bathroom that has a tub/shower combination as well as a walk-in shower. Also on this level is a shared bathroom and a second bedroom with two queen beds. Another half flight of stairs up is the sleeping loft with two queen beds that overlooks the kitchen and family room. A half flight down from the kitchen is a shared bathroom and a beautiful bedroom that features a private fireplace, TV, sitting area and a king bed. Also on this floor you’ll find the garage access and the laundry room. Another half flight down is the second family room with couches, a large beanbag chair, a ping pong table and a TV. Adjacent to the family room, you’ll find the last bedroom which features two queen beds and a TV. ALL NEW FOR 22-23! Same amazing location but brand new construction. Lots more space with 5 Bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, plus extra room in the lofts and in the full basement. Covered deck too. Near the end of the road with National Forest in the back yard and at the end of the dead end street, so no neighbors behind you and no traffic. Its located just 20 minutes from Yellowstone park via US Hwy 20. The cabin is quiet and private but still only 5 minutes away from restaurants and stores. The space At the end of a 200 yard dirt road. 2200 sq ft house with 5 beds and four baths. A pullout couch in the loft and a cot are also available. Modern kitchen with dishwasher, stove, microwave, utensils, appliances. Wifi, Satellite TV, and DVD player. National Forest is behind you two and at the end of the road. There is plenty of quiet beautiful space to relax in and enjoy the forest and this spectacular part of the world. Walking trail into the forest is 100 feet away. A little more about LOCATION: In my 12 years of renting, I have had only 1 person tell me in a review that they thought the cabin was too far from Yellowstone. First off, its an honest 20-25 minutes away. On Hwy 20 the speed limit is 65 to the park except for one 1/2 mile long section near valley View RV park. Its 22 miles to the front gate of the park from the cabin. Please look on the map to see where the cabin is located compared to others. There are other Island Park cabins 5-20 miles further away that also say 20 mins to Yellowstone- check the distance. If you want a comfortable modern cabin in a great location, no highway noise or dust, grass and forest, no lawns or golfing, a campfire, a safe space for kids to run around and explore, and peace and quiet and still be 5 minutes from stores and restaurants then consider our cabin. The Island Park Golf Course is just right across the street and a block down the road. This cabin has four private bedrooms and three bathrooms.  The main level has a large open living room and kitchen with a shared full bathroom and laundry closet. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the amenities along with granite counter tops. The dining table seats eight with a few extra chairs for the kitchen counter. The master bedroom has a king bed with a private bathroom that has a walk in shower. Upstairs in the loft are two futons, three bedrooms and a shared full size bathroom.  One of the three rooms has a queen bed, a crib and three single toddler beds (bedding not provided for baby beds). The second bedroom has a single queen bed while the third room has a queen and a twin bed. This property also has living space above the separated garage. This space includes a sofa sleeper, one queen, one full size bed and a TV. Big Springs Lodge is a short 25 minute drive to the West entrance of Yellowstone and about 10 minutes to Henry's Lake or the Island Park Reservoir. Guest access Guests have access to the whole cabin EXCEPT for locked doors, closets and the garage. Other things to note What to bring with you!- You're coming to a wilderness area to vacation and if you plan your vacation well you will have a positive experience. In the summertime May and through the middle of June can tend to be cooler early morning and toward the evening hours. Make sure to bring a jacket and long pants you can change into when needed. Bring a pair of tie up shoes to protect your feet. Shoes likes flip flops or sandals will not protect your feet when you are out exploring. Layering your clothing is a good idea and then if your too warm you can take off clothing as needed. At least this way when departing your cabin early morning to go site seeing you will have what you need with you. July and August are pretty warm and you should still bring a light jacket. The rest of the year you will want to bring heavier jackets and long underwear, snow suits etc. You will need to bring your private toiletries like bar soap and shampoo as we do not provide this for you. Cabins are equipped with everything else you should need except food of course. Snow tires and four-wheel-drive are recommended for traveling in Eastern Idaho during the winter. Road conditions can change quickly, and even well-traveled highways are occasionally closed by blizzards or high winds. Before setting out, check the Transportation Department's website or call 511 for an automated, up-to-the-minute status of all thoroughfares. Wise motorists will also carry emergency gear (shovel, snack bars, water, blankets) in their vehicles to be ready for any contingency. Coming Snowmobiling? A reminder to anyone traveling back country areas whether skiing, snowmobiling or hiking: Remember the time of year, exercising all back country cautions. Take necessary equipment and survival gear when venturing into the back country. If you have a GPS and cell phone, be sure to take them with you, but do not rely on them entirely for a safe rescue if you find yourself in trouble or stranded. Cell phones should be kept close to your body & turned off to keep the battery full, so it's not searching for a signal & running the battery down. Avalanche Transceivers and equipment, knowing what the avalanche conditions are, and knowing skills to save lives are a must for everyone entering back country riding or traveling. Plan ahead. Make sure you know the area you are going into before heading into it. If you find yourself in trouble, stop, take a look around you, and do not go any further. The further you go the more complicated and dangerous it is to get yourself to safety, also making rescue efforts more difficult and dangerous. Make mental notes in relation to any physical features or landmarks that would assist in your rescue. Make a plan, stick to your plan, narrow the riding area, & most of all...let someone know WHERE you are planning to go!

Wise motorists will also carry emergency gear (shovel, snack bars, water, blankets) in their vehicles to be ready for any contingency. Coming Snowmobiling? A reminder to anyone traveling back country areas whether skiing, snowmobiling or hiking: Remember the time of year, exercising all back country cautions. Take necessary equipment and survival gear when venturing into the back country. If you have a GPS and cell phone, be sure to take them with you, but do not rely on them entirely for a safe rescue if you find yourself in trouble or stranded. Cell phones should be kept close to your body & turned off to keep the battery full, so it's not searching for a signal & running the battery down. Avalanche Transceivers and equipment, knowing what the avalanche conditions are, and knowing skills to save lives are a must for everyone entering back country riding or traveling. Plan ahead. Make sure you know the area you are going into before heading into it. If you find yourself in trouble, stop, take a look around you, and do not go any further. The further you go the more complicated and dangerous it is to get yourself to safety, also making rescue efforts more difficult and dangerous. To keep the cabin beautiful, you are responsible to pay for any damage caused by your dog. Because the extra cleaning will interfere with the cabin being ready for guests later that day, if there is damage or dog hair on the beds or furniture, then the extra cost is a minimum of $100. Although there is a pest control company that comes frequently, some of the tiny ones may get into the cabin from time to time. NO REFUNDS will be granted because someone saw a spider, a fly, a wasp, a mouse, an ant, etc. You will be asked to agree an outside contract that clarifies the details and ensures proper expectations on both sides. The properties are surrounded by meadows which can at times grow to be tall. If you expect Kentucky Bluegrass at all times around the property, we may not be the best choice for you. If you plan to bring trailers then bring them at your own risk. We do not guarantee we can accommodate such a large trailer during winter storms. Please note that the location is at an elevation of 7,000 ft, where weather conditions can be unpredictable and snowfall may occur at any time of the year. We recommend arriving well-prepared for changing weather conditions. Guests should be aware that this cabin is in the forest/woods which is home to many creatures big and small. Although there is a pest control company that comes frequently, some of the tiny ones may get into the cabin from time to time. NO REFUNDS will be granted because someone saw a spider, a fly, a wasp, a mouse, an ant, etc. You will be asked to agree an outside contract that clarifies the details and ensures proper expectations on both sides. The properties are surrounded by meadows which can at times grow to be tall. If you expect Kentucky Bluegrass at all times around the property, we may not be the best choice for you. We cannot modify the scheduled time since we are in a rural area and attend to the hot tubs on a somewhat changing schedule. Please consider this fact as you book. Other things to note What to bring with you!- You're coming to a wilderness area to vacation and if you plan your vacation well you will have a positive experience. In the summertime May and through the middle of June can tend to be cooler early morning and toward the evening hours. Make sure to bring a jacket and long pants you can change into when needed. Bring a pair of tie up shoes to protect your feet. Shoes likes flip flops or sandals will not protect your feet when you are out exploring. Layering your clothing is a good idea and then if your too warm you can take off clothing as needed. At least this way when departing your cabin early morning to go site seeing you will have what you need with you. July and August are pretty warm and you should still bring a light jacket. The rest of the year you will want to bring heavier jackets and long underwear, snow suits etc. You will need to bring your private toiletries like bar soap and shampoo as we do not provide this for you. Cabins are equipped with everything else you should need except food of course. Snow tires and four-wheel-drive are recommended for traveling in Eastern Idaho during the winter. Road conditions can change quickly, and even well-traveled highways are occasionally closed by blizzards or high winds. Before setting out, check the Transportation Department's website or call 511 for an automated, up-to-the-minute status of all thoroughfares. Wise motorists will also carry emergency gear (shovel, snack bars, water, blankets) in their vehicles to be ready for any contingency. Coming Snowmobiling? A reminder to anyone traveling back country areas whether skiing, snowmobiling or hiking: Remember the time of year, exercising all back country cautions. Take necessary equipment and survival gear when venturing into the back country. If you have a GPS and cell phone, be sure to take them with you, but do not rely on them entirely for a safe rescue if you find yourself in trouble or stranded. Cell phones should be kept close to your body & turned off to keep the battery full, so it's not searching for a signal & running the battery down. Avalanche Transceivers and equipment, knowing what the avalanche conditions are, and knowing skills to save lives are a must for everyone entering back country riding or traveling. Plan ahead. Make sure you know the area you are going into before heading into it. If you find yourself in trouble, stop, take a look around you, and do not go any further. The further you go the more complicated and dangerous it is to get yourself to safety, also making rescue efforts more difficult and dangerous. Make mental notes in relation to any physical features or landmarks that would assist in your rescue. Make a plan, stick to your plan, narrow the riding area, & most of all...let someone know WHERE you are planning to go!

Please note that there are all sorts of wildlife in the mountains so you may consider bringing your favorite repellent and be sure to do what you can to not bring them into the cabin with you. And, when booking any cabin in the woods, you will expect to encounter insects, spiders and other wildlife. It is part of the experience. Your cabin is not hermetically sealed so bugs, spider, and all sorts of wildlife may enter the property. Please keep the doors closed so they do not enter unexpectedly. A starter supply of coffee service, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner, body wash and dish soap are provided. However, depending on personal preference or consumption, you may need to bring or buy extra supplies during your stay. There is a small county grocery store North on Highway 20 called Sam Patch Co. where we do all of our shopping when we stay at the cabin. This is a NON-SMOKING cabin. We are also under a county ordinance for short term rentals and ask that our guests please stay in compliance for their safety and health. We ask that you please stay within capacity limits, read the burn ordinance and please be neighborly. It's close to Macks Inn, Yellowstone Park, dining, golfing and many other activities. Fishing and kayaking are excellent, as is rafting, just downriver from the clear waters of Big Springs. Beautifully decorated, the cabin has 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms (3 full), loft, kitchen, dinning area, living room, and laundry room. Summer & winter rental! The space Unlike others in the area, this cabin is right on the river. Kayak, swim and fish right off the front porch. Located on 2 private wooded acres, the log cabin sleeps up to 16. There are five bathrooms, including one with both inside and outside access. The cabin includes a kitchen, living room, dining room, and loft (all with a river view), 4 bedrooms, a utility room and a coat room. A small charming log guest cabin is also available for an extra charge of $100 per night for those who prefer more privacy or who want to sleep closer to nature. It has one queen bed and a double futon. Bathroom access is available directly from an exterior door in the main cabin. This is our family cabin, not a "commercialized" business investment. We hope you love it as we do. The cabin is only a few yards away from the 6 million acre Targhee National Forest and only 22 miles from Yellowstone National Park. Wildlife sightings are frequent. There is plenty of room to explore and enjoy the beautiful view of the river and mountains. Float down the peaceful river in a canoe, rafts or kayaks. In the winter season, snowmobile, XC Ski, snowshoe, enjoy view of river and mountain while relaxing by the fire. A children's play set is close by, along with a fire pit. (Get instructions from caretaker.) This cabin has everything your group needs to enjoy the mountain air. Grocery stores, golfing, restaurants and other amenities are within 2 to 5 miles away. The cabin has a canoe, 2 kayaks, internet, 2 washing machines and driers, fire pit, barbecue and much more. Snow machine rentals are nearby, as are excellent XC ski trails. You are right on the river and the fishing is phenomenal. You are also within easy reach of a number of other famous fly fishing rivers: the Madison, the Yellowstone, Warm River, Fall River, and Box Canyon on the Snake, to name some of the main ones. The Trout Hunter in Last Chance offers experienced fishing guides. Henry’s Lake is also great for fishing from a boat. There are nearby rentals of large rubber boats, kayaks, and inner tubes. They will drop you off at the boat ramp just below Big Springs, where the Henry’s Fork of the Snake (a.k.a. the North Fork – the river the Cabin sits next to) comes up out of the ground (technically, the Yellowstone Aquifer finds its way to the surface at that point). It’s a 4 mile float back down to the Cabin. We also suggest a rubber raft trip down Box Canyon, further down on the Snake, coming out at Last Chance. Be sure to visit the bridge at Big Springs where the headwaters of the Henry’s Fork originate. While there, tour the John Sack Cabin – a short walk away, through the campground south of the Springs. There are some truly massive rainbow and hybrid trout that rest under the Big Springs bridge during the summer. The best food for tempting them out from under the bridge is whole kernel corn. As you might suspect, Big Springs is a rigorously enforced no fishing area. There are endless trails for hiking, ATV, motor cycles, bikes and walking in the area. Many local shops have an excellent hiking guide. A car drive to the top of Sawtelle Peak gives breathtaking views of the whole area. For hikers, we recommend Targhee Creek Trail, which is sign-posted off Highway 20 heading north, a few miles after the junction with Highway 87. The trail is moderate and the spring wildflowers in July are abundant. We also recommend Harriman State Park, where you can hike to Golden Lake and see a flock of trumpeter swans. An absolute MUST SEE is Mesa Falls (See below.). There are a couple of rodeos around, depending on the timing of your stay. A very fun one is located on Red Rock Road (about 3 miles north of Mack’s Inn, on Highway 20), then west to the Meadow View Ranch. Your ticket includes a dutch oven chicken dinner or a steak cooked on an open grill. The Island Park Reservoir and nearby Hebgen Lake offer water sports. You can rent boats and wave runners at Island Park Adventures in Last Chance. They also rent various types of ATVs. High Mountain Adventure at Island Park Resort is much closer to theCabin (~1 mile north on Highway 20), and rents similar equipment Harriman State Park, just south of Last Chance on Highway 20, has great nature trails, historical old ranch buildings built by the Harriman family of New York, and is home to a large trumpeter swan flock on its Golden Lake. The $5 fee per car is also good at Mesa Falls. Enjoy groomed XC ski trails with warming huts. A MUST SEE is Mesa Falls, both Upper and Lower. Walk the boardwalks around the magnificent falls, and visit the animal exhibit in the lodge next to the Upper Falls. The road to Mesa Falls takes off from Highway 20, down by Harriman State Park. Eagle Ridge Ranch offers horseback riding for all ages. Try a hike to the Coffee Pot rapids. The trail leaves the Coffee Pot Campground, then follows the river for 2 miles to the rapids. It is a truly beautiful hike. In late July and August, there are often ripe huckleberries along the trail. Golf at Island Park Village. To visit Yellowstone National Park – take Highway 20 north. Just past Henry’s Lake, the highway will turn east and cross the Continental Divide, entering Montana. The Park’s west entrance is in West Yellowstone. West Yellowstone has a number of fun attractions: -	The Grizzly and Wolf Center -	The Ropes and Zip Line course -	White water rafting on the Gallatin River -	The IMAX theater Seriously consider the Playmill Theater in West Yellowstone – it can be great fun! It is a regional summer theater, drawing its talent mostly from Brigham Young University Idaho. You will need reservations – surf them out on the web. Back at the cabin, relax on the porch. Wave to the floaters drifting down from Big Springs. Offer them homemade cookies. You will make lots of new friends. Enjoy the view of Sawtelle Peak. Watch for wildlife. Besides moose, animals we have spotted include River otters, beavers, muskrats, mink, pine martins, skunks, squirrels and many bird species, including ospreys, sandhill cranes, blue herons and bald eagles. The closest ski resort is Big Sky Resort in Montana, just about an hour’s drive from the cabin. Many guests also enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing right here in Island Park or at Harriman State Park, which offers beautiful, groomed trails in a peaceful setting. We’re also about 2 hours from Jackson Hole and Grand Targhee — giving you access to three of the best ski resorts in the country, all offering world-class terrain and stunning mountain views. Other things to note This house can accommodate SMALL trailers below 15 feet. You can park at Elk Creek Gas Station and Ride your snowmobiles to the house. Moreover, be aware that during winter months this area can get a very large amount of snow (1 foot in 24 hours which is exacerbated by drifts due to strong winds) in a short period of time and even though we do our absolute best to plow the roads the crews can be overwhelmed during such times. If you plan to bring trailers then bring them at your own risk. We do not guarantee we can accommodate such a large trailer during winter storms. Please note that the location is at an elevation of 7,000 ft, where weather conditions can be unpredictable and snowfall may occur at any time of the year. We recommend arriving well-prepared for changing weather conditions. Guests should be aware that this cabin is in the forest/woods which is home to many creatures big and small. Although there is a pest control company that comes frequently, some of the tiny ones may get into the cabin from time to time. NO REFUNDS will be granted because someone saw a spider, a fly, a wasp, a mouse, an ant, etc. You will be asked to agree an outside contract that clarifies the details and ensures proper expectations on both sides. The properties are surrounded by meadows which can at times grow to be tall. If you expect Kentucky Bluegrass at all times around the property, we may not be the best choice for you. Thank you so much. Your hot tub and/or BBQ will be maintained weekly. A person will be at the property to do the maintenance. We cannot modify the scheduled time since we are in a rural area and attend to the hot tubs on a somewhat changing schedule. Please consider this fact as you book. Please note that our home is located in a rural area, where summers are typically dry and dusty. It is very common to have dust, debris and cobwebs on the decks and outside areas in spite of our efforts. Also, fire pits may not be usable due to fire restrictions. Also, road and other constructions are passable in neighboring properties, and we cannot control what neighbors or county do on theirs lots and properties. The outside of the cabin maybe be different from the depicted photos based on the season, sunset and more. This is a high altitude and forested area and the landscape changes immensely from season to season. This is not a city dueling, and as such the meadows and landscaping around the cabin will change throughout the season. We ask you to take note of this before booking.
