This insurance is underwritten by Great American Insurance Group and covers accidental or unintentional damage to the premises, but not to your personal possessions.  State lodging taxes apply to stays less than 30 nights. City lodging taxes apply to stays less than 32 nights.  Parking is free and on-street on the block in front of the Cambria, but please note: The Central West End neighborhood, especially along Euclid street, is home to a number of bars and restaurants. These establishments make our neighborhood great, but can also lead to some challenges. With so many establishments within walking distance, the neighborhood attracts many visitors, especially in the evenings and on weekends. This can make parking tricky. You may need to circle the block a few times, but most of our guests don’t report too much trouble getting a spot. Additionally, you may hear noise from the bars and their patrons.  You don't need a car while in residence, though! The Cambria is on McPherson at Euclid, footsteps from delightful shopping and many fine restaurants. Public transit & Uber are easily accessible. The Cambria is less than five miles west of the Gateway Arch. It is within walking distance of Forest Park, home to the St. Louis Zoo and St. Louis Art Museum, among other beloved institutions. Washington University Medical Center & Barnes Hospital are within walking distance, as are all the amenities of a great urban center, including supermarkets, pharmacies and movie theaters. Metrolink, the city's regional rail system, is within walking distance.  Since all of SF Shannon’s vacation rental apartments are in the historic core of St. Louis, we occasionally receive the question: “Is it safe?” This question is impossible to answer, because we typically know nothing about the person asking it. The co-owners live within walking distance of each SF Shannon vacation rental. Rachel, Karen and their spouses have raised their families in their respective neighborhoods, and have always felt perfectly safe.  WHY THAT NAME? The steel I-beam supports in the basement of the Cambridge were made in Pennsylvania at the Cambria Steel Company. Other things to note The Farwig has central air conditioning with its own thermostat. Winter heat comes from the building's original steam radiators, fed by a central boiler that runs one to six times daily depending on the forecast. The radiators may clank when the boiler kicks on.
