For ski-in ski-out access the Painter Boy Lift MUST be open. You will take this lift to Columbine and Homeowners trail which may not be groomed early in the season. This is dependent upon snow pack each year and typically this lift opens in December. If we do not receive a lot of snow you will have to drive to mountain and it is about a 5 minute drive. There is a small deck outside this bedroom that has a majestic view of Mt. Crested Butte. There is a full bathroom with a tub on this level. There is another bedroom with a fun jungle animal motif and log bunk beds, another twin bed, 2 small cubbies to play in for younger kids, a padded bench seat to allow little ones to read a book or play a game, and a small outdoor deck with views of the Elk Mountain range. When you head to the lowest level, you will find a beautiful wood-burning fireplace with river rock gathered from the local Gunnison River. There you can sit and enjoy the crackling fire while relaxing or watch TV on a new 55” TV. There is another full bath with a tub, and a full-size washer and dryer. There is a king size bed in the open bedroom next to the bathroom. Shampoo, conditioner, lotion and body wash provided as well as hair dryers. Laundry detergent is available on site as well! There is free parking in the town of Crested Butte and free/paid parking at the ski resort. Map apps don't know that you can turn left from Washington Gulch Road onto Gothic Road, so they send you right (into town) to turn around. You ARE able to turn left making the ski resort only an 8 minute trip from the house. The free parking at the ski area is limited in the winter, but the pay lot is not too expensive. The walk to the lifts from the parking lots is short. You can also drive in to town and park in the free lot and take the free shuttle up to the resort.
