This is our family cabin, and we want you to have a really good time here and enjoy yourself. However, if your intentions are drinking and partying we do not think this is a good fit and we rather prefer that you do not book our cabin. No animals or pets! We have family members with severe pet allergies, that can trigger anaphylactic shock reactions and jeopardize our family members health. We hope you will respect our no pets policy and will not endanger our health by bringing a pet. If our outdoor security cameras indicate that you are trying to sneak on any kind of animal, your full security deposit of $1,000 will automatically be forfeited. FIREPLACE: The fireplaces burn wood. You will need to provide your own fire wood, which is sold in bundles at the local stores (VONS, DYI Store, STATER BROS., KMART). BBQ: There is a propane BBQ grill onsite that you can use. You need to provide your own propane gas tank. Every guest needs to clean the BBQ grill after use. JACUZZI: Before using the spa please read and carefully follow instructions posted at the house in our guest manual. Please provide your own spa towels if you do not want to use the towels from the bathrooms. Our jacuzzi is serviced and cleaned by a local professional spa service company before every new guest stay. TRASH DISPOSAL: The City of Big Bear Lake requires that ALL trash be removed by the guests (city ordinance). Trash can be conveniently disposed at this Big Bear disposal site: 41974 Garstin Drive; Big Bear Lake, CA 92315. Keep all trash indoors until you are ready to bring it to the Big Bear disposal site, otherwise the wildlife will go through the trash and scatter it out front. Guest's security deposit will automatically be charged $20.00 per bag of trash that is left on this property plus a $50.00 trip charge if any trash is left on the property. DISHES: Wash all dishes/pots/pans and put away as you found them. Leave no food in the house. If dishes are left in the sink or dish washer an additional charge of $20 will apply and be deducted automatically from your security deposit. TOWELS: At the end of your stay, please put all your towels by the washing machine. You do not need to wash them, just put them in the laundry room. PARKING: We have plenty of onsite parking space and can accommodate 4-6 cars without a problem. SPECIAL WINTER RULES: If there are snow falls of more than 1inch the city will deploy snow plows to plow the streets and street parking becomes illegal during these conditions. You may get a ticket if your car is parked in the street during these conditions. During the winter months, it is advisable to check on weather conditions before you drive up to Big Bear. If it has snowed recently, tire chains may be REQUIRED to come up the mountain. The CHP will make you turn around and get tire chains if you don’t have them, so it is best if you have them in your vehicle before you leave your house. Reservations cannot be cancelled due to weather. In case the city plows the street, every drive way in the city will have a berm from the snow plow. If you have snow on the driveway or pathway to the house or a berm blocking the driveway, you are responsible for removing the snow yourself during your stay, at arrival or at departure. Snow shovels are provided onsite. THERMOSTATE: Upon departure: Please turn down the NEST thermostat to 50 degrees. SECURITY DEPOSIT: The security deposit is one thousand dollars ($1,000). These are examples when Airbnb will make charges to your security deposit: damage, missing items, trash left behind, dishes not cleaned and/or put away, cabin is left excessively dirty, hot tub needs to be cleaned and refilled. Your security deposit will be charged in full if we find any evidence of smoking or if pets have been brought into the house. Cleaning Fee: You are paying a cleaning fee with your booking. This fee includes the normal house cleaning (e.g. wash sheets and towels, clean bathrooms & kitchen, mob and vacuum floor) to make the cabin look exactly the way you found it when you moved in. The cleaners will notify us if you left our cabin excessively dirty and if there is additional cost that is not covered by the original cleaning fee. This video footage is not shared and is recorded for liability reasons in the cases of a break-in, death, injury, guests sneaking in pets, guests disregarding the maximum occupancy allowed, and in no way infringes upon the guests’ expectations of privacy in these public areas of the property. LEAVE NO TRACE: Simply put, whatever you take into the forest, bring back out including broken sleds. DON'T LITTER: There are dumpsters located at all trail-heads and picnic areas. If a bin is full, find another. Animals will tear bags open and spread trash throughout the forest.
