Open the sliding glass door to find a LARGE backyard with a 5,000sqft fenced area for the doggo's, a firepit, a volleyball court, and a shed with bikes, yard games, and more! Guest access The house is completely open other than a couple closets used for cleaning supplies and personal effects. There will be no access to the garage. Located just 30 minutes from the northwest metro you can avoid all the hectic weekend travel and spend more time on the lake! We do have a fishing/swimming dock but it's not designed for boats. The yard down to the lake is a bit steep and may be challenging for those with mobility issues. The space Our 3 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom cabin is perfect for quality time with friends and family. The cabin features 3 bedrooms (two rooms each with a queen size bed, and one room with 2 twin bunk beds), 1 full bathroom and one half bathroom, laundry, kitchen with two counter seats, and a kitchen table that can seat 8. The open living room flows nicely into the dining room and kitchen with lots of natural light and views of the lake. There are two parking spots are available in the driveway, but the garage (and basement) are off limits as neither are finished spaces at this time. Big Lake and Mitchell Lake have a combined 391 acres of crystal clear water along with a public beach and restaurant with a dock (Willy's on the Water)! Enjoy your time on the water - swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, boating, fishing, or floating peacefully. There typically aren’t many weeds on the shoreline in the lake but they do occur and while Big Lake is one of the clearest lakes in the area (water clarity is usually over 10 feet) this can vary depending on mother nature. There are many fun attractions around the area, including the Spud Fest in late June, the Graniteman Triathlon in early August, several parks with playgrounds, Sand Dunes State Forest, and the Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge. There are also a number of great local restaurants, bars, and breweries. All this is listed in our welcome guide waiting for you in the kitchen. Our cabin is your perfect escape anytime of the year! For guest safety, property protection and compliance of house rules, a motion sensitive active recording camera (blink door bell) in place place and recording 24/7 on the front door. The public lake access is about 4 miles away. 1 garage space for guests. Ample driveway parking for additional vehicles and space for trailers. *same day reservations must inquire/pre approval before book. The space 4 bedroom (king, 2w/queens, and 1 bedroom with 2 singles), has plenty of space for a great family getaway, girls weekend, or other retreat. Enjoy a hot cup of coffee in the screen in porch or take a walk on the trails. This property is close to the Sherburne County Refuge, Sanddunes, Becker, Monticello, and Zimmerman. Take a hike through Lake Maria State Park near Monticello or take the family to the beach on Ann Lake or Big Lake. Personally, I'm a big fan of ice fishing on Eagle Lake! Three great lakes all within a 10 minute drive! Tri level home: ground level has one bedroom, 3/4 bathroom & ping pong/game room; 8 stairs up is the living room, dining room and kitchen; 8 more steps up is three bedrooms and a full bathroom. Spacious and very nice home but meant to be lived in, nothing priceless. 35 minutes from U.S. Bank Stadium, etc. Wifi and low tech entertainment options to enjoy during your stay (pool table, foosball, ping pong, game table/poker etc). Large full kitchen and dining area. Large and fairly private yard. Enjoy! The space The house has four bedrooms with six beds total. Bedroom 1 has a king size bed and an attached bathroom. Bedroom 2 has two full size beds (bunk bed/loft). Bedroom 3 has a queen size bed. Bedroom 4 is a large room on the downstairs level with two queen size beds, a large TV, beanbags and chairs. There are 3 bathrooms total. One with a tub/shower and two other showers.

Kids and Pets

Peaceful and centrally-located home.  Far enough in the country to see wildlife, but yet just a short drive to town and only 30 mins from St. Cloud and 1 hour to the Twin Cities.  Great hiking and fishing nearby or enjoy the deer that cross the backyard almost daily.

Cozy Minnesota Getaway

Less than an hour from Minneapolis, the Loondocks is a sun-soaked, pet-friendly hideout on beautiful Big Eagle Lake. Natural stone steps (NOTE: These are uneven, so do not book if you have mobility concerns!) lead down to the bungalow-style house, a stylish bunkhouse, wood-burning sauna, spacious deck with lake views, and flat waterfront yard. Sip coffee and watch the sunrise, lay out a towel at the end of the dock, or share a meal with the whole family! This is the perfect all-season getaway. The space With a master king, three queen beds, and three twins, Loondocks guests can bring the whole family! The Loondocks property also includes a beautifully updated bunkhouse, designed with families in mind, and a wood-burning sauna. Equipped with a canoe, paddle boards, Apple TV, a great collection of kitchen supplies, and kid & dog-friendly features, Loondocks has everything you'd ever need. Guest access You'll have access to the main cabin as well as a non-attached bunk house with two queen beds. This bunkhouse does not have a bathroom or central heating like the main cabin, but we provide a space heater to keep it warm. Parking: We only have space for 3-4 cars depending on the size. Please make sure you park on either side of the garage. Additionally please be careful to not park on neighbors property with property line being marked with a green electrical box. A keypad is located on the front door for a simple keyless entry. The entry code will be provided to you the day before your arrival. Other things to note Our space is NOT a good fit for those with mobility issues. We have natural, uneven stone steps that lead down the the property from where you park. These are a challenge for those with mobility issues. In the loft bedroom up the spiral staircase, it is tight coming up/going down the stairs. There is a fall hazard. Kids are welcome, but should be supervised upstairs. In an effort to maintain a secure premises, the house is equipped with an exterior camera at the front door, another to keep an eye on the stairs, and another facing the lake. The cameras are ONLY on the exterior, and there are no cameras on the inside.

Loondocks | Lakeside Hideout w/ Sauna

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful hidden gem with views as far as the eye can see. The space Nestled on the peninsula of Big Eagle Lake, this wonderful retreat sits 5 miles west of Big Lake. The entire home was recently remodeled and most everything upgraded inside and out. The layout of the home is fantastic for families or small groups to enjoy. The main floor is set up with the kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms and master bath. Each has a large flat screen TV with streaming capabilities. The open floor plan connects the living, dining, and kitchen allowing each group to spend time together and make incredible memories. Downstairs is listed as a bedroom as it has 2 additional beds with a large picture window for enjoying all of nature’s beauty right from your bed. It also has it's own door that walks out onto the patio. The backyard is a great place relax on the patio, enjoy a campfire and enjoy the beautiful lake views. From the location to the amenities, to the décor and furnishing, this home is a perfect location to enjoy everything the area has to offer. It is a dead-end narrow road, please drive slow and use caution when backing out of our driveway. +Trash day is Tuesday morning, if you are there on Monday, please put cans out Monday evening. Missing this will result in a $50 fine that it costs to get the garbage company to come back out. +Please load all dishes in the dishwasher and start it before leaving. +Lawn company may need to stop by to water plants and mow. We will try to keep this to a minimum or schedule when it is not rented, but that might not always work. We will give notice before hand if anyone needs to come during your stay. + Previous reviews talk about low water pressure. We installed a new well in the fall of 2023 so that is no longer an issue. +We understand that accidents happen. Please let us know if anything gets broken etc so we can replace it for our next guests. Any excessive damage to the property will be replaced and back charged to the renter. + Any stays longer than 30 days will require a separate short term lease agreement. Guest access You will have full access to the entire house and yard (excluding garage). Other things to note There is a public landing on this lake and we have a private dock for your use if you want to bring your own boat. A family-friendly getaway, just 45 minutes from the Twin Cities. Comes with a canoe and pedal boat. The updated four season cabin offers the best sunset views on Big lake. A charming two bedroom, one bath home with a large dining table for 8, beautiful white oak floors and custom cabinetry. Swing from the hanging egg chair in the dining room and enjoiy the spectacular view across the lake. Step outside to the spacious patio furnished with a bar, dining table, Traeger grill and Hot Shot stove. The space The home features two bedrooms: One with a king Sleep Number bed and desk/dressing table, the second with a full-sized bed with memory foam mattress under a twin bunk bed (with stairs). There is a full-sized futon in the common area and a nice queen airbed and additional bedding available in the master closet. The kitchen is equipped with updated appliances, a Keurig coffee maker, bullet blender, air fryer/toaster oven, toaster, pots and pans, and standard tools/cooking utensils. There is also a full-sized bath, and a washer and dryer. The house is cooled with a newly updated air conditioning unit. Ceiling fans circulate the air in the living room and two bedrooms, plus two additional fans are provided to move cool air into the bedrooms at night. Note: There are stairs in the house. A set of three steps is used to access the living room and two steps are used to access the dining room area. Guest access Full access to all spaces on the property including house, large secure garage, patio with bar, beach, beach deck, and a dock (with weeds cleared around it) for swimming, fishing, and boating. Note: To accessibility the dock you will need to go down a small set of stairs. The house has a large driveway for boat trailer parking. Other things to note We all love a good time; however, this is a residential area and we ask renters to be respectful to the neighboring houses which are close by. Outdoor quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. in alignment with the City of Big Lake Noise Ordinance. Absolutely no smoking or vaping on the property. Walk out to the street if needed.

It has queen and trendle bed, couch and dining table with chairs, all in one room. There is a full bath with a claw foot tub/shower. We provide towels, paper products and a hair dryer. There is a kitchenette which includes: full size refrigerator, sink with dish tubs and drying rack, microwave, double hot plate, pots and pans, utensils, coffee pot, toaster, dishes and silverware. We are offering our guesthouse for our home and it is set on 20 acres of rolling hills. This is a farm-like setting with free-range chickens, barn cats, and couple of dogs. This unique property offers a country feel while being close to the Twin Cities. You will have about 800 sq. ft. to relax in or sit out by a campfire, enjoy a walking trail, or rest in a hammock. All this is a 10 minutes drive from Cabela's, the Outlet Mall in Albertville, and Hillside mountain bike trails in Elk River. The space Enjoy the peace and quiet of the beautifully decorated guesthouse that features a full kitchen, full bath, living room/dining room, and two bedrooms. The master bedroom has queen size bed and the 2nd bedroom has two complete bunk beds with 4 single beds. Our home will easily sleep 6 adults if 2 don't mind climbing a ladder to get in bed. There is a TV for movies and WIFI. The kitchen is supplied with pots/pans, plates, glasses, silverware, a coffee maker, some basic spices, etc. There is a gas range/oven, microwave oven, blender, frig/freezer, and dishwasher. For anyone staying longer than 3 days, there is a washer/dryer available in the guesthouse.

You’ll have the entire suite to yourself, with your own private entrance through a double glass sliding door that opens straight onto the backyard. You will have keys to lock the space when you go out to explore. You will have an entire level to yourself so there are no shared living spaces — you simply step in from the outside and you’re home. The door at the top of the stairs that separates the floors is locked for max safety and acoustic privacy. Turn up Movies or Music as loud as you want, we won’t hear you. I’ve tested. Enjoy a movie! Come and go on your own schedule, slip out for fresh air among the trees whenever you like, use the fire pit, grille, and enjoy the kind of true privacy that’s hard to find. Because the suite opens directly to the outdoors, it’s easy to drive up to the rear door (on the grass is ok if soil is not wet) unload the car, settle in, then park in the front of the house on the gravel. Parking is simple and spacious it just requires structure, so please park on the large gravel section next to the pavement in front of the house. It’s easy to spot and there’s room for 3-4 vehicles in that area. If you have RV’s or trucks with a trailer we are not limited on space or parking, but you must let us know so we can advise you where to park before arriving. The driveway is 1/4 mile long, lined with mature trees 4ft in diameter at places, twisty and then climbs a hill; you don’t want to drive in reverse with a 30 ft trailer. Other things to note A few details to make your arrival smooth and your stay relaxing: 	•	Finding us: Look for the address on the mailbox with the welcome flag, then follow the gravel road in. The house sits back from the road, hidden behind a line of trees and reached by a scenic quarter-mile driveway — so don’t worry if you can’t see it right away. That setback is exactly what makes this place so peaceful. 	•	The setting: This is a genuinely secluded, rural property surrounded by trees, open space, and wildlife. It’s wonderfully quiet — ideal if you’re after calm, focus, or a real break from the city. 	•	Good to know: Check-in is after 3:00 PM, checkout is by 11:00 AM, and the suite comfortably hosts up to four guests. 	•	Traveling with family pets?
