The cabin is nestled in a hollow on 35 acres of private mountainside. Following the winding driveway through a railroad tunnel you reach Fox Creek Lodge. 15mi to Massanutten Ski & Water Park, Luray Caverns and 17mi to Shenandoah National Park/Skyline Drive. Many wineries & breweries and outdoor activity companies to help with river tubing, canoeing, fishing and hot tub. The space Your vacation experience begins as you drive past the Shenandoah River. You then turn onto our winding driveway (keep left up the hill) and travel through the property’s 160ft railroad tunnel. As you pull up to the lodge the property boasts of its uniqueness with the natural stone and cedar siding with balcony overlooking the seasonal pond and firepit. Backyard offers a Gazebo lounge and hot tub. The lodge features an open living and dining concept. Dining table seats 8 and can accommodate additional pulled up chairs. There is also a bar top with 3 stools and wine/beer fridge that opens to the custom kitchen. 2.5 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms sleeping 10. Additional sleeping arrangements are possible with pull-out sofa. There are baby gates and a Pack 'n Play for your use while staying at Fox Creek Lodge. Enjoy the front decks & balcony overlooking the seasonal pond and railroad tracks. Backyard offers a Gazebo to relax and space to play yard games. Foosball, 2 sets of Corn-hole, Croquet and Frisbee are a few of the entertainment items available on the property. Pets are welcome for a fee so just let us know if your fur babies will be joining you. There are separate A/C and heat units in each room with a remote. The home offers a fireplace on the first floor to enjoy in the winter months. The master en-suite features a Tempur-Pedic queen and a newly modeled bath with craftsman vanity made from reclaimed wood from the property. The three remaining bedrooms down the hall share the hall toilet. The hall toilet and shower occupy separate rooms for your convenience. Bedroom two is a smaller room featuring a Tempur-Pedic queen bed. Bedroom three Is a smaller room featuring a queen bed. Bedroom four features two double beds with two additional twin beds in the loft areas of bedroom four. The main living area shares the dining space as you enter the lodge. The primary large stone fireplace is located here for your enjoyment. There is a second living space with sofa and television on the second level to the right of the stairs. As well as a sitting/game space with Foosball to the top left of the stairs before you exit to the balcony. The large front deck offers a gas grill and outdoor eating space. The three trails crisscrossing the property allow you to enjoy the forest and its mountain view and streams after a heavy rain. There is a property map provided as well as local attraction brochures for you to take once you are at the lodge. Guest access Guests have access to the entire home and property; the hiking trails on the 35 acres and the pond in front of the home. Shenandoah River lot is 1 mile going left out of the driveway. The fully stocked kitchen allows you to make any dish you wish. Please enjoy the items in the kitchen cupboards; they are there for your use if needed. Other things to note The railroad passing by the property was completed by the Shenandoah railroad in 1867. The tunnel on the property is believed to be that old. Although, the train does not whistle as it passes by, you can feel/hear it's power throughout the property as it steams down the tracks. It is an enjoyable sight to see! The home and property are always being improved upon. Picnic area on the River Lot with picnic table, charcoal grill and firepit. Misty Run (est. 2021) is 2.4 acres of nature w/ 400' of private river access & Starlink internet. 4 BR (2 w/ full BA) & 3 full BA. 2-story vaulted ceiling living/dining room, a well-equipped kitchen, 2nd floor loft, spacious deck, & access to kayaks - all overlooking the beautiful Shenandoah River. Basement finished in '24 w/ ~300 sq ft for ping pong, foosball and a TV. Nearby - Shenandoah Natl Park, GW Natl Forest, Luray Caverns, skiing, hiking, wineries & more. The space Situated in a cozy bend on the south fork of the Shenandoah River, 2 hours from Washington, DC and Richmond and 40 mins from Harrisonburg, this gorgeous and comfortable chalet-style house is surrounded by woods with 400 feet of private riverfront. Outdoors, you can enjoy the spacious wraparound deck with dining table and plenty of seating or swing in the hammock chairs. Bring charcoal for the grill or settle around the firepit and take in the fresh air, all overlooking the river and trees. Cast your fishing line for smallmouth bass, carp, catfish, or sunfish. Wade, swim, float, tube, kayak, or canoe to enjoy the river. There’s plenty of space to spread out and enjoy all that nature has to offer. There are 2 primary bedrooms featuring king beds with attached private ensuite bathrooms with overhead heaters and walk-in showers. There are also 2 secondary bedrooms -- one with bunk beds and an additional twin bed, the other with two twin beds -- that share a nearby hall full bathroom with bathtub. The oversized dining room table was locally handcrafted using walnut salvaged from the property and is large enough to fit your whole group! The well-equipped, open kitchen features rustic wood cabinets, quartz countertops, full-size appliances, and an extra large sink. The kitchen is fully stocked. Brand-new kitchen gadgets include a large and tiny crock-pot, 2 griddles, 2 waffle makers, coffee maker, muffin trays, cutting boards, pots, pans, knives, outdoor plastic cups/plates and bowls, kid-friendly cups/plates/bowls and utensils, wine and beer glasses, and so much more. The washer and dryer are conveniently located on the main floor. An easy-to-use electric fireplace in the living room provides ambience and warmth in the winter months. Relax in the two-story spacious living/dining room, which has a comfy, couch and massive windows that let in lots of natural light and provide a gorgeous view of the river. If you're looking for a little more space to spread out, there is a loft with toys, puzzles, a second TV (great for kids’ playtime!) and a view overlooking the living/dining room and the river. Don't worry about the summer heat as the upstairs has its own personal A/C (and heating) system. River access is just out front. There’s a slight slope on the left side of the yard for easy walking access to the riverbank and stairs on the right side. From the riverbank there are a few rock steps to ease yourself into the water. Basement finished in 2024 and offers a comfy area of ~300 sq ft with ping-pong, foosball and another TV with HDMI cable. We also include a hammock and hammock chair (stored on shelf in kitchen) to use as well as river towels during your stay. Other things to note We provide fresh linens including bed sheets, bath towels, kitchen towels and river towels should you need them. There are different types of coffee makers in the kitchen, including a Keurig/Latte combo, standard coffee pot, old fashion drip or French press. We have spare coffee on hand as well as a variety of spices, sugar, flour and oils and vinegars. We also provide bottled drinking water and just updated our water to a charcoal filtration system. During snow, main roads and driveway are treated if snow is 4” or more. 4WD is required then. We are on a well, water is filtered and treated; however, we encourage you to bring your drinking water as tap water may occasionally have a light smell of minerals. Keep doors closed all the time to keep nature’s creatures out. Please also clean up crumbs, and do not leave any food outside. The house is surrounded by wildlife, do not tempt them by leaving food where it is accessible. This is a NO SMOKING, NO PARTY/EVENTS, and NO PETS in this mountain house. County ordinance imposes quiet time from 9pm to 6am. Violations of these policies may result in immediate termination of the stay.

And in the backyard, there is a fire pit and a bench swing to unwind at night. You may see wildlife to include deer, rabbits, squirrels, snakes, and even bears. Hot Tub- The maximum occupancy for the hot tub is 5 persons. No glass, soap, oil, bath salts, or other liquids are allowed in the hot tub. Guests shall ensure the hot tub is covered at all times when not in use. Damage to the hot tub cover warranting replacement will result in a $350 charge. Guests agree to all policies associated with the hot tub and release the property owners of all liabilities and claims associated with hot tub use including personal illness, injury, or death. Fire Pit- There is a fire pit for our guests to enjoy, and wood is provided. Please exercise fire safety and precautions when having a bonfire, including fully extinguishing the fire and covering the fire pit when finished. The Barn at Evermore is a historic riverfront cabin that perfectly blends rustic with modern comfort. Perched at the edge of the Shenandoah River on over seven acres of land with mountain views, the Barn is the ideal getaway for families and groups. Spend your morning sipping coffee on the 70-foot deck; later, canoe, kayak, or fish off the private dock. In the evening, play pool, ping pong, or indoor basketball, wind down in the hot tub, then roast s'mores in the fire pit and stargaze. The space The original Barn structure is over 100 years old, and boasts soaring 35 foot ceilings and original woodwork throughout. Surrounded by trees on one side and open acreage on the other, the Barn offers ultimate seclusion and privacy. Because of our location on the river, the water right off our dock is calm, making it perfect for relaxing water activities and swimming. Upon arrival you will find parking on both sides of the property. The first entrance right after the mailbox is a gravel driveway that can accommodate 3-4 cars. The second entrance after passing the property is a gravel parking lot that can accommodate 10+ cars. The home can be entered from the back entrances facing the river. The primary entrance is the sliding door on the top deck next to the hot tub. The lower basement entrance across from the deck stairs is also available especially with heavy luggage or adverse weather. REC ROOM The main barn rec area has a basketball hoop, ping pong table and pool table, and other games, as well as a fully functioning wood-burning fireplace. PLEASE NOTE: the bedrooms, bathrooms, living area, kitchen and basement are all heated and air conditioned, but the rec room is not. We provide fans, space heaters, and wood for the fireplace to ensure year-round comfort. BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS The barn has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Bedroom 1 is on the main level with the kitchen and main bathroom, and has two twin beds and one bunk bed. Bedrooms 2 and 3 with queen beds are on the upper level and share the upper level bathroom. PLEASE NOTE: the third queen bedroom is located in the basement and guests will need to head upstairs to the main floor for a restroom. The other three bedrooms have quick/same-floor restroom access. KITCHEN The rec room leads to the enclosed kitchen with a dining table that seats 8. Flowing from the kitchen is a smaller living area that allows for even more room to spread out and socialize as a family or group while dinner is prepared. The fully stocked kitchen comes equipped with all the necessary cooking tools, coffee, paper goods, and dinnerware. OUTDOOR SPACE The deck has ample seating, a large grill (propane provided), outdoor dining area, and a six person hot tub. In the basement garage, you'll find two canoes, two kayaks, tubes, life jackets and plenty of lawn games (corn hole, volleyball, etc.). The outdoor fire pit has campfire seating and a starter supply of firewood is provided. We keep our house as clean as possible without using crazy amouints of unhealthy pesticides. We have had very few comments (note our reviews) but we like our guests to know ahead of time that you may see a pest or two during your stay. We will continue to be diligent to minimize the critters - but this is mountain living! INCLEMENT WEATHER. Safety is a huge priority for us! Although it hasn't been typical during the last few winters, there is a possibility of snow/ice. If this occurs, the driveway could potentially be too dangerous to travel. If the driveway is unsafe to travel, we will inform guests as soon as possible and discuss their options.
