A perfect place to stay for visitors who want a comfortable place to call home while exploring all that St. Louis has to offer. The interior is warm, inviting with private back patio to relax. The space This is a single family home with the main living area about 10 steps up to main entry. The cozy living room is furnished with brand new furniture from West Elm and Pottery Barn as well as a new 65 inch smart TV. There are two main bedrooms off the main hallway equip with new Luxe Helix mattresses and hotel quality sheets. There is a new full bathroom on the main floor. In the basement, there is access to a washer and dryer as well as the full bathroom with bath tub. There are steep steps, about 10, to get to the downstairs bathroom. In the backyard, is a small concrete patio with bbq grill and sitting area. This is fenced in and is pet friendly (but no grass) . Not to worry the neighborhood is GREAT For walking dogs with a local park nearby. Additionally, BarK an amazing pet friendly park is less than a mile away. The building features new wiring, plumbing, ductwork, and insulation inside the walls. As the street name implies, there are many French influences in the building's structure. The building is over one hundred years old. Upon entering the front door, you will see the original stairwell, which leads to the upstairs apartment. The washer and dryer are located inside the unit. The dumpster and parking pad are at the back of the building. Guest access Please note that the backyard is shared with the downstairs tenant. Guests don't have access to the basement. With easy highway access, and conveniently situated equidistance from Soulard, Lafayette Square, Tower Grove South, and Cherokee St, this custom designed space is not only an experience on its own, but a perfect base for exploring The Gateway City. Surround yourself with art, literature, and the homie comforts that set ArtBnB aside from staunch hotel chains. A lightly stocked kitchen, library, garden, patio, deck, grill, fire pit, wine rack, kennel, and toiletries are all included. The space ArtBnB: A growing gallery alongside custom alterations make this space the perfect hideaway to find/lose yourself in the heart of St.Louis. Much of the art and features in the space are now "discoverable", with interactive QR code Easter eggs, linking to 'making of' videos and artist portfolios. 2.0: After the success of the original ArtBnB, we have opened a second, larger apartment in the building. Continually "in process", aesthetically, ArtBnB 2.0 gives guests a unique 'midway' look at many of the complex murals and collages that fill the space, many purposefully left unfinished. Despite the staged calamity of color, the entire apartment is fully operational, safe, uncluttered, and stocked with anything guests might need. ArtBnB 2.0 has recently started exploring a consignment program with local artists, and welcomes submissions. My son Nick must approve any exchange so provide a picture if possible. In an effort to quickly fill the space with multifaceted, multicultural, homey, personally meaningful art; we will offer limited discounts to guests in exchange for quality display pieces. These must be approved ahead of time, and guests should expect ArtBnB to receive the far better end of the deal (ie we cannot offer retail value discounts). This is an experimental offer, and entirely at the discretion of the host. When possible, credit and background will be provided by QR codes linking to online content or purchasing information. For this purpose, preference will be given to art/artists with "story", but mystery pieces will also be accepted. Crowd Sourced Decor: All art is beautiful and worthwhile; however, if you have questions about the exchange, or the types of work we are looking for (in order to keep the space coherent and welcoming), please ask before making any assumptions. Guest access This is a 3 lot property: includes ArtBnB 1.0, a permanent residency apartment, an art studio, ArtBnb 3.0 (shared space 3 bedroom apt), fenced in yard, open patio, carriage house, native plant rain gardens, and 7 raised beds. We qualify as a monarch butterfly sanctuary (milkweed patch), and hope to develop a neighborhood beirgarten on our attached lot. Solar powered since 2020. Guests have access to all shared outdoor space. 2.0 is accessible through a gated yard, which is also accessable from 1.0, but has a separate deck and entrance. There is a possibility you will cross paths with another guest, in the shared yard. We are currently building a 3 car carport available first come first serve. Until the electrical is complete, only manual door opening. New-ish: chickens and bees! If you or any youngsters would like an introduction, let us know ahead of your stay, and we will do our best to accommodate. Other things to note I am an earth loving semi retired gramma who enjoys gardening, traveling and my chickens. I own the complex with my son Nick who has been a local theatre producer, a renovator, and occasional mixed media artist. He has been doing charity work in Nepal and Kenya and only occasionally hits St Louis on his way. ArtBnb 1.0 was first! Through the daily practice of maintenance and improvement within that space, we learned that we have a knack for it, and enjoy formulating positive guest experiences. ArtBnB 2.0: Double the Accommodations/Inspirations

Look no further than this jungle-themed Airbnb for a fun and unique place to stay on your trip to STL! 2nd floor apt is centrally located in the charming Shaw of neighborhood. Walk to Tower Grove Farmers market, Align (yoga, massage, infrared sauna), playground, pickleball/tennis courts, duck pond, Botanical Gardens, and several local eateries including the best ice cream in the city. 10 minute drive from the Arch, Zoo, City Museum, Art Museum, Fox Theater, Forest Park, & Soulard Market. The space The apartment is a shotgun style layout, meaning that the rooms are all laid out in a row from front to back (without a hallway). It is a second floor unit. When you enter through the front door, you will walk up the stairwell and enter into the livingroom (the second room in the row of rooms). The front-most room may be entered from the living room by curving around and heading toward the front of the building through a pocket door, and it can also be accessed from a door to the side at the top of the stairwell, meaning that the front room (Bedroom 2 in the photos) can be entirely closed off as a private space. This bedroom contains a queen daybed with a twin trundle underneath that can be easily rolled out and used if necessary. There is also access to a front walk out through a window opening that slides up from floor level. The third room back, past the livingroom, is a bedroom (Bedroom 1 in the photos). Just past the bedroom is a small hall/transition area with a door to the side that leads to the bathroom. Due to the shotgun layout, if anyone is staying in Bedroom 2, they will need to pass through Bedroom 1 in order to access the bathroom. The final room, all the way at the back of the unit, is the kitchen. In the kitchen, there is backdoor that leads to an outdoor walkout space that has shared access with the other upstairs unit. Guest access The entire indoor space of the unit is private. You'll have a spacious apartment on first floor with plenty of room for a family meal, or to decompress after your day. I live in the apartment upstairs so I am hosting you in my own home, but you'll have the entire, separate, downstairs unit all to yourself. This is where my friends and family stay when in town. I'm passionate about hospitality, I have borrowed ideas from working in hotels for 20ish years. I am also constantly upgrading the unit The space You'll have a very spacious apartment on first floor with plenty of room for a family meal, or to decompress after traveling and site seeing. I live in the apartment upstairs so I am truly hosting you in my own home, but you get the entire downstairs unit all to yourself. Two bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment in the Tower Grove area. One block from the Missouri Botanical Garden, a couple blocks from Tower Grove Park, and only a 10 minute drive to downtown St Louis. The South Grand area is about a 15 minute walk away, and there you can find restaurants, bars and an international grocery store. The apartment has wireless internet, a washer/drier in the basement, full kitchen. You will have the 1st floor apartment in a 2 unit home, and I live upstairs so anything you need that's not downstairs I am happy to loan out. There are 2 queen beds in the apartment. I also have a Queen sized pull out couch and a queen air mattress, and a large couch that can easily sleep 1. Seven guests is just my standard maximum number, but comfortably it can sleep 3 couples (with the air bed). The apartment also has a TV that has a Roku to watch shows/movies through hulu, netflix etc. Check in/check out times are 4PM check-in and 11 AM checkout. The times given are the times that I would need if I were to have someone else coming in/leaving that day, but they are definitely flexible. As it gets closer to your reservation, we can discuss different check in/out times. FYI I have a dog who spends time in the backyard but if you are not a dog person, I can leave him in the house during your stay. Guest access A spacious, full kitchen. Games, puzzles, cards and books all waiting for you. A dinning room with a table that can seat eight. A comfy living room. There is a grill out back you are welcome to use it is connected to the houses gas so no need to bring charcoal or propane- I'm currently prepping to put in a patio. so unfortunately things aren't hospitable yet. However it is a secure back yard to let your pooch run around. Other things to note There are also plenty of extra linens, towels, blankets and pillows in the hall closet.
