Most of the living space is a great room with high ceilings, numerous windows, porch access, card table, and center hallway which makes this a truly comfortable place. The space The ground floor of the lodging space is a recreation room with a private bedroom plus an additional kitchen and bathroom as well as the laundry room, bar and pool table. There is an additional bathroom in the hallway for the other bedrooms. On the first level there are 2 living rooms. One of which has 2 collapsible sleep sofas and barn doors for privacy. There is a full bath on this level as well. **Dining** We have a dining room with custom dining table fit for 10. There is a large kitchen with bar seating and a small table with bench seating. **Amenities** There is laundry on this level which guests are welcome to use! **Outdoor** The pool opens the first week of May, if weather permits. Depending on weather, the pool closes at the end of September/early October. Please note, the water is typically colder at the beginning and end of the season (May/September/October). A truly Kentucky experience on the Bourbon Trail

Edgewater Resort, 20 minutes from Louisville, is Taylorsville Lake's premier vacation spot, tucked away in a gated community with over 163 acres that overlooks the marina. Within walking distance you'll find a community pool (seasonal) with a sand volleyball court and a fire pit. This two-story cottage sleeps up to 10 guests and showcases a master suite with two private balconies and a jetted soaking tub. You can also hang out on the private deck out back equipped with a 4-person hot tub. The space The cottage was updated in 2020 with granite countertops and a beautiful tiled backsplash in the kitchen. All flooring in the bedrooms have been updated from carpet to luxury vinyl plank. The fireplace is for looks and is not operable. We do not list this as an amenity due to this. Please note: This resort is NOT a party-town atmosphere. Quiet hours are from 10pm until 8am. We ask that guests respect this rule and also the other guests staying in the cottages around ours. We welcome well-behaved children. **We welcome small dogs (less than 30 lbs) but do require an additional $100 pet fee. Even if your precious pet won't make any mess, this fee goes towards a fund to pay for the wear and tear caused by pets that we wouldn't accrue if we didn't allow pets. We suggest bringing your dogs a blanket or their own little bed to stay/sleep in. As you can imagine, our cleaners can spend a lot of time trying to get hair out of the covers and furniture between stays. Guests must alert host at the time of booking if a dog(s) will be with you or your guests.** Please follow the hot tub rules posted outside on the fence. This will help ensure that all guests have a nice hot tub to use without any unexpected incidents. There's a nice grilling area with a charcoal grill located off the back deck and a park like setting where you can take your chairs and hang out. We just ask you to return the chairs to the deck when finished. There's a twin bed and a trundle bed located in the bedroom to the right as well as a twin air mattress. A Pack 'N Play with a freshly washed sheet can be found in the kids' bedroom closet as well as a twin air mattress. Two twin roll-a-way beds are stored in the closet upstairs to be used anywhere you wish. An assortment of board games are available for your non-screen entertainment and located in the kids' bedroom closet. NO BOATS/TRAILERS PAST FRONT GATE – Boat parking is located at the front, before you enter the gated portion of the community. Boats are not permitted inside the community and parking the boats/trailers are not allowed at individual cottages. NO VEHICLES PARKED ON STREET OR GRASS – If vehicles do not fit in driveway, please park in one of the two lots, located in the front and back of the community. Parking is not permitted in yards, on the street or in common areas. Lake Livin' & Bourbon Sippin'

Late 1800's farm house on a 155 acre working family farm located in the heart of the Bourbon Trail. It is a unique experience to stay on our farm where we raise non-GMO corn that goes into producing bourbons here in Kentucky. The farm is rural and private, but convenient to Louisville, distilleries and many other local attractions. We are located only 10 minutes from the Gene Snyder Freeway in Louisville and 10 minutes from the Outlet Shops of the Bluegrass and 15 minutes from Shelbyville. The space This is a historic farm house, over 120 years old. Although it is clean and well maintained, if you prefer shiny and modern this peaceful farm stay may not be for you. Feel free to take a walk around the farm and get out an enjoy the tranquil surroundings on the 2 porches. Also, there are 2 TVs in the home. The living room TV has Dish Network and the upstairs queen bedroom TV receives basic channels via an antenna. However for those who want to stay well connected, free wi-fi is provided and the cell phone reception at the house is generally good. There is plenty of parking, even if you are towing a trailer or have several vehicles. There is a closet in the living room that remains locked for our supplies. The property is available for renting everyday, but please keep in mind that since it is a working farm there is traffic in and out of the shared driveway and may be equipment noise on the property. Also, the house would not be considered accessible because there are 3 entry steps and the bathroom is on the 2nd floor, along with 3 of the 4 bedrooms. Guest access You will have access to the entire home, with the exception the living room closet where we keep our supplies. Feel free to get out and walk around the 155 acre farm. You can even walk around the 2 ponds on the farm or explore the creek (all the way at the back of the farm).

You can walk to Taylorsville Lake Marina to the Resort but it is better to drive. You can also visit the state park that is a short 10 minute drive . Our guests have access to all that Edgewater Resort has to offer, including the resort clubhouse by way of reservation, pool in season, children's play area, shared fire pits by the playground, greenery and lake access. Because we are located a little outside of town, the major grocery chains are about a 25 minute drive away.However town does have a wonderful grocery store ,pharmacy, auto store, hardware store and many smaller convenience stores like Dollar General. Louisville is located about 45 mins away. Just type in Edgewater Resort or Taylorsville lake as your start point and enter your destination and it will give you very accurate information. At this time we offer our lowest prices so we are not able to extend additional discounts. We offer smart T.V.s with apps .Please bring your accounts and passwords for anything extra you wish to access. The wifi can be spotty as we are located in a semi-rural area. We have a small charcoal grill located out in back of the cottage off the steps on the porch.We do not supply provisions for this so feel free to bring your own. There is no smoking in this house but you are welcome to do it outside away from the cottage and dispose of the waste properly. Late check outs or early check-ins will be decided on a case by case basis and need to be approved by Suzanne. 3 pm is our goal to get you into the cottage but sometime some things are beyond our control and cause us to run late, please understand we are doing everything we can for a check in at 3pm . This is the exception and not the rule. We supply towels, linens.We do not supply towels for use outdoors such as for the hot tubs and pool. Please bring your own.We also supply a couple days stay worth of toilet paper, paper towels, soap, dish rags, cleaner, laundry detergent and trash bags. Please bring more of these supplies if you think you may need them. The fire place the house is only usable in winter months. We turn them off for the season come the first day of spring. We accept animals at the cottage with a 100 Fee and some restrictions, please see agreement for more information. If you are bringing a boat or a large motor vehicle please note that you may not drive it past the gate. There are a couple of outlets to charge your boats up by the welcome office if you need them. The outlets are first come first serve basis but we have never heard of anyone having a problem using them. As mentioned above the bugs are plentiful. There is also a small pond up by the flower gardens with some beautiful koi fish. We are a commercial flower farm with seasonal u-pick opportunities. Guest access Guests can explore the trails or enjoy the community pool. There is also a fire pit, a playground area and a parking area for boats. Located on beautiful Brashears Creek in the heart of Bourbon Country, this loft style cedar cabin makes a great central location to visit some local distilleries and wineries. It is also a great place to stay for anyone who might be in the area for a horse show or interested in antique shopping along Shelbyville's historical Main Street. My personal favorite thing to do at the cabin is enjoy the creek. The water level fluctuates significantly depending on the amount of rainfall received. The space This is not your typical kit built cabin. Although it has been updated, the cabin is about 40 years old. It is charmingly decorated and it feels so cozy that you won't want to leave. There is a staircase to the loft which has two separate open rooms that between them hold two extremely comfortable queen beds, a day bed, and a small rope bed. The kitchen/living room area is very open as well and has two full size couches and a wood stove (wood included). The bathroom includes a claw foot tub and elegant light fixtures. Enjoy taking a dip in the hot tub, relaxing in the rocking chairs, lounging in a hammock, and exploring the creek while you stay. Amazing views all around! Louisville is located about 45 mins away. Just type in Edgewater Resort or Taylorsville lake as your start point and enter your destination and it will give you very accurate information. At this time we offer our lowest prices so we are not able to extend additional discounts. We offer smart T.V.s with Amazon Prime Access and WIFI. Please bring your accounts and passwords for anything extra you wish to access.The wifi can be spotty as we are located in a semi-rural area. We have a small charcoal grill located out in back of the cottage off the steps on the porch.We do not supply provisions for this so feel free to bring your own. There is no smoking in this house but you are welcome to do it outside away from the cottage and dispose of the waste properly. Late check outs or early check-ins will be decided on a case by case basis and need to be approved by Suzanne. 3 pm is our goal to get you into the cottage but sometime some things are beyond our control and cause us to run late, please understand we are doing everything we can for a check in at 3pm . This is the exception and not the rule. We supply towels, linens.We do not supply towels for use outdoors such as for the hot tubs and pool. Please bring your own.We also supply a couple days stay worth of toilet paper, paper towels, soap, dish rags, cleaner, laundry detergent and trash bags. Please bring more of these supplies if you think you may need them. The fire place the house is only usable in winter months. We turn them off for the season come the first day of spring. We accept animals at the cottage with a 100 Fee and some restrictions, please see agreement for more information. If you are bringing a boat please note that you may not drive it past the gate. There are a couple of outlets to charge your boats up by the welcome office if you need them. The outlets are first come first serve basis but we have never heard of anyone having a problem using them. As mentioned above the bugs are plentiful. The grounds are sprayed and we treat the cottage inside and out. Please take note we are in a rural setting and we are settled close to a lake. We can not control the flying bugs, we do our best to treat and keep the pests away.Sometime we experience high volumes and sometime we have hardly any.Please be aware and bring bug spray.
