Creekfront Cabin w/River Access Close to Town, Folk School and McGuires Wedding Venue The space Welcome to Babblebrook Lodge, expertly management by Great Mountain Cabin Rentals in Murphy NC.This is a lovely, peaceful log cabin in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. It has 3 full bathrooms and 3 bedrooms, as well as a futon that can sleep 1 more. 2 bedrooms and bathrooms are on the first floor you enter from the driveway, only climbing 5 steps. The light-and-bright home has an all wood interior and exterior with a vaulted ceiling great room, and a small but nice mountain view visible from the decks and one of the bedrooms. You gaze at the mountain from the guest bedroom window throughout the spring and summer. If it's cold, just click the remote and the natural stone fireplace springs to life with warmth and a dancing light to cozy up to. The ground floor (wood walls, tile floor) has a large game room with an air hockey table, a pool table, and a pacman machine. A bedroom, bathroom, and spare room with futon here have so much privacy that they can feel like they have their own place. This floor is built into the side of the hill making it always cool in the summer. There is a workstation here which you can place in front of the large window--listen to the brook and birds singing while you work, watch the birds flock to the bird feeder just outside during mini-breaks. But don't spend all of your time inside! The house has 2 large decks, one of which is partially screened, with a total of 6 chairs and a triple swing. 2 of the chairs in the screened-in area are top-quality gliders. And then there's the best feature of the property: the backyard! I have put extensive work into it, installing stone steps leading to two separate stone seating areas with top quality, very comfortable seats (one is a triple glider bench), 2 hammocks, and 2 fire pits. These sit beside the mesmerizing stream running through the property (which you can also hear burbling from the deck). Make a fire in the natural rock fire pit in the secluded sitting area by the bend in the stream, toast marshmallows and listen to the crackling of the fire harmonize with the brook's tiny waterfall, or take the most restful nap of your life in the hammocks there. I have planted fig, apple, chestnut, and peach trees, and blueberry bushes, while muscadine grape vines and blackberry bushes grow up an enormous tree. Pick any fruit that's ready! The cabin has a large, paved driveway with automatic lights, excellent cell reception (at least for Verizon), and blazingly fast wifi (over 100 Mbps) that reaches all the way down to the stream. Do your work in the hammock, surf the web in the seating areas, or livestream by the real stream to make your friends jealous! This is a pet friendly cabin and there is a $50 pet fee that will be added to your stay if you bring a pet. Please let us know your intention on bringing a pet in advanced. You will be required to sign a contract and provide a copy of your drivers license. About the Neighborhood: The cabin lies nestled in Nantahala National Forest in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. It is an excellent base for day-trips. Many quaint and lovely towns are in the area (Blue Ridge, GA is only 30 minutes away) and 3 wonderful cities are within a 2 hour drive: Atlanta, GA; Asheville, NC; and Chattanooga, TN. There are more opportunities to hike, kayak, or tube than you could do in a month. The Hiwassee River runs through the neighborhood, making fishing, tubing, or kayaking a snap. A fairly easy nature trail runs along the river, canopied by trees, just a 5 minute walk from the cabin's front door. The neighborhood, Highland Creek, has all paved, easy to drive roads and a pavilion on the Hiwassee River which you are welcome to use as the river access point. Lowe's, Walmart, and Ingles supermarket are all within a 10 minute drive. *Any stays over 28 days will incur additional cleaning fees.

This is a rustic furnished cabin with hot tub, gas fire place, fire pit in the back of the property and all the amenities for you to have a comfortable stay. Garden tub in the master bathroom for a nice relaxing time if you come without kids. 5 minute drive to Murphy, The Folk School, McGuires Farm and the Tri County Race Track. Its a 10-12 minute ride to the Casino. The space Its a nice quiet place. 1 story so no stairs to climb except to the front porch and the front door. Its quiet and peaceful. Light the gas fireplace and enjoy the night. You can even go out to the firepit to enjoy a real fire to roast marshmellows or hot dogs or soak in the new hot tub on the screen in porch Guest access We have a driveway that would fit 2 cars. We dont mind if you park in the grass if you need to. We can accommodate to park a trailer in the grass if you are coming to ride motorcycles on the Tail of the Dragon. Other things to note We are a 5 minute drive to the John C Campbell Folk School. We are also just a 7 minute drive away from McGuires Millrace Farm. Are you coming in to go to the Casino? That is just a 10-12 minute drive.

Each level has bedroom for privacy. Plenty of deck space and an awesome fire pit and hot tub. Hot tub is under cover and it could be raining and your head will stay dry! Newly painted and decorated and in pristine condition with kitchen fully stocked so it makes cooking a breeze. Two grills on premises, one charcoal and one propane to make grilling easier. Close to the center of Brasstown, John C. Campbell folk school and the town of Murphy. Close to the Casino. Guest access You can access most spaces. The pantry and all closets and the laundry room are locked. Other things to note The cabin is keyless. We provide you with an access code to use for your stay. This is our second home and we have lovingly furnished it and take care of it like we live there full time. FYI...we have outdoor cameras....they are there for our protection when the cabin is unoccupied. There also noise sensors that do not record. They alert us to loud noises and parties. There is a camera that faces the driveway, one that faces the backdoor, one that faces the front door and one that faces the basement door. They are motion activated and are turned off when guest arrive.

A natural and private setting, only 5 minutes away from the town center and Harrah's Casino. Paved road up to gravel driveway. Garage for foosball and darts! The space Well equipped cabin in a pristine natural environment! This cabin offers free high speed internet with a dedicated work space. You will have free access to Netflix, as well as be able to download apps on the Smart TV. If you are a music lover, you're in luck. Spin an old record on the turntable or connect to the Bluetooth stereo. Fully stocked kitchen with modern appliances and everything you need for a home cooked meal. Use the gas grill on the deck to barbeque, while taking in the mountain views. Read a book and relax on the hammock. Guest access Two vehicles can park in our driveway comfortably. You are more than welcome to store bikes, kayaks, motorcycles, etc. in our garage if you wish. It is strongly recommended that you arrive during daylight hours. The road up to the house is well paved, but is steep with lots of turns. It is easier to navigate during the day for the first time. An AWD/4WD vehicle is not necessary, except may be during rare snowy/ice conditions during the winter season. Other things to note For your safety, we use an enhanced cleaning protocol to disinfect the cabin after each guest. All firewood is provided for the outdoor fire pit. Campbell Folk School and less than 5 miles to downtown Murphy where you will find local shops, dining, and the small town atmosphere that will have you wanting more. The space Located literally feet from the Hiwassee River in picturesque Murphy, NC, this cabin is perfect for your family, your fishing getaway, a guys weekend, a girls get together, and even two families vacationing together! Bring your pooches down also, as there is plenty of wooded land just for them. Paradise River Retreat boasts 3 queen size beds (sleeps 6), but can sleep 2 additional singles on the couches, if necessary. There are 2 full size bathrooms, and an upstairs and downstairs living space for lounging separately, if desired. Each living space has its own flat screen with WIFI... perfect for watching Netflix but with the river calling, you may not even turn them on. One full bath has a tub, the other a stand up shower. Shopping for groceries is a mere 5 miles away, all conveniences you need are in Murphy: casual dining (burgers, fries, sandwiches, BBQ and wings), fast food (McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, Wendys, Waffle King and more), gas stations, Walgreen’s, Lowe’s, Wal-Mart, Ingles (grocery store that boasts a Starbucks), and even sit-down dining that ranges from casual to higher-end. There are great shops in downtown Murphy and even a movie theater with 2 current movies at a time. There are many things to do in the Murphy area!! To start at your own cabin, there is fishing directly off your porch, if you want to try that! Fly fishermen (and women) will be called to wade out into our beautiful river to try their hand at catching some trout. Kayaks can be launched right outside your door for an exciting ride down the river. Tubes are also something to try. About a 30 minute drive through a gorgeous gorge is the Nantahala Outdoor Center where there are guided rafting tours, ropes courses and dining. You are also a 5 minute drive from the John C. Campbell folk school, where classes are offered and Friday nights present live music. Murphy also has a gaming option if you want to try your hand at blackjack, slots, roulette, craps or more! Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino was built in 2015, and is a great time for a night out. There are so many other things in this rich area of the Smoky Mountains. The real treat is the amazing fully screened in porch for outstanding outdoor living space, this will quickly become your favorite place to hang out. Pond: *Please note: It is on the step side walking down to the pond. We have put in some steps, it's not bad at the top but does get stepper the closer you get to pond. You can approach it from the road where there's a a low bridge over a muddy area. It is not a level walk to get to the dock. Please look at pictures in listing. It’s up and operational after a lot of hard work! Please treat this ecological environment with respect. Do not throw trash or food into the pond, wild life live there! Collect trash to be disposed of in trash cans at cabin This is a swim at your own risk pond. There are fish in the pond, bass, catfish & sunfish (bream). There are also other aquatic life such as frogs, salamanders, turtles, and other reptiles. Keep an eye out in warmer months! Fishing is allowed and encouraged, we do ask that the fishing be Catch & Release so all the guest can enjoy fishing. No license needed since this is on private property. The canoe is there for guest use as long as they practice safe boating protocol, use care while using canoe, and wear flotation devices that have been provided. Please put the canoe back where you found it and lock it up after use. We strongly suggest guest use personal flotation devices if swimming or floating in pond. Please stay clear of the drainage over flow pipe above the water line, this is paramount! That includes holding onto it, running into it, etc. No diving in pond or off the dock! There is debris under the water for fish habitats. Pets: Dogs and must be non-shedding or low shedding breads, small to medium size 50 lb limit the pet fee is $100 one-dog maximum. They must be up to date with flea / tick prevention and well groomed. No puppies or cats. To keep the cabin in excellent condition, dogs are not allowed on furniture or beds and should not be left alone unless safely settled in the provided crate on porch, or your own. These guidelines help prevent damage and avoid additional charges to our guests. Thank you for helping us care for this special space. We ask that you provide their own beds. Towels provided are NOT for use on pets. It is your responsibility to pick up after them around the cabin, we have provided a scooper. Comfy Safari Tent in Brasstown NC

1.2 miles to the John C Campbell Folk School - cozy and private mountain getaway! Tucked away in the mountains of western North Carolina, and only 1.2 miles to the renowned John C. Campbell Folk School, our recently updated guest house suite is awaiting your arrival. The Guest House at Rivercane is situated on eight wooded acres - offering end of the road privacy, yet convenient to restaurants, entertainment, shopping and medical facilities. Guest access The Guest House is located approximately 100 feet from the main residence and shares a common (end of road) driveway with the main residence. Guest are welcome to walk the gardens and grounds of the property. Guest may use the large asphalt pad to turn around and park adjacent to the Guest House or use additional parking on lower level behind the guest house. Guest are ask not to be on the main residence deck or in the main residence screened porch. Access to the Guest House is provided via key less entry (code provided after booking) to the front door. Guest may access front door via two short steps or step free access ramp.

The Guest House at Rivercane

The space Guest suite features private entrance, king-sized bed, private bath, private living room/workspace & kitchenette. Your front door faces a beautiful garden! The space is located right off of the John C. Campbell Folk School campus situated beside our music workshop and retail store. Come and go as you please. Your suite is situated under our bedroom so we ask that you respect quiet hours between 9 PM to 7 AM. You will have access to the suite which includes bed, bath, seating area and kitchenette. We have check in set to 2 o'clock. If there is no guest checking out before you, we can be flexible on that. Just send me a message and let me know if you would like to be in the room earlier. My husband and I will be nearby at most times. This is a rural area. If you were taking a Folk School class, you can walk to campus. It is dark at night and there are no streetlights. We recommend a car but keep in mind that walks around the neighborhood can be lovely. There is a music store next to your room. Customers come and go. They are typically quiet and respectful. There may be children roaming the area. Drive carefully, please. Guest access Guests will have access to the whole apartment, which is approximately 400 sq ft. Other things to note There are no stairs to climb to access the apartment.

You’ll share a recently renovated bathroom just down the hall. You’ll have free outdoor, uncovered parking. You’ll have access to beautiful outdoor patios/porches, nearby trails and outdoor fire pit! My home is a short and scenic 3 miles from the John C Campbell Folk School and Brasstown. Option for second room! The space Clean, private bedroom with queen bed. There is a Television (Direct TV) + DVD player. Additional amenities include a mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker (+pods!) all located in walk in closet For parties of 3-4 people, there is a second bedroom with a double bed. This bedroom is simpler and shares the bathroom with the primary bedroom. It is only available for Guests 3 & 4 in your party and is not included with a two-person booking. If 2 guests would like to use both bedrooms, please book 3 guests and message us. The 3rd guest booking is required to unlock the proper fee schedule for use of both rooms. A personal vehicle is mandatory in this area. The internet speed is VERY slow and not reliable enough for work or beefy enough for video calls or streaming services The upstairs in the house is entirely off limits to guests. The kitchen is not available for guest use. Laundry is not available for guest use.
