This stretch of communities represents the crown jewels of the Southern California beach lifestyle! For the more adventurous among us, the Torrey Pines Gliderport is less than a mile away. The trail to Torrey Pines City Beach is easy walking distance from the house as well, great for an early morning hike or an evening stroll to see a spectacular sunset. The beach itself is about a 15 minute walk down a somewhat challenging trail. Going down is easy, coming back up requires some endurance! The trail is paved and is wide enough that making the return trip walking back and forth across the trail (switchback-style) makes it entirely do-able, it just takes a little longer than the trip down! The Salk Institute is a 12 minute walk from the house and the Birch Aquarium is a little over a mile from the house, a 25 minute walk or a 4 minute drive. The Blackhorse community, where the house is located, is right next door to the Estancia resort and spa, which is accessible through a private gate that leads directly onto the grounds of the resort. Great for a short stroll for a quick bite at one of the resort restaurants or a relaxing evening drink at the resort bar. There are miles of world-class beaches, beach activities, hiking, mountain biking, the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park, Legoland, and several museums close by as well. Guest access Guests can access the entire house. There is also a large park-like lawn and a seating area next to a beautiful fountain just outside the front door. Other things to note We do allow dogs, but no cats please. The house is not childproof, it’s set up as an adult retreat. Furnishings are high-end and adult-oriented. The property grounds are immaculate, maintained by the local HOA. The HOA is very strict. Key requirements: Only two cars are allowed and they must both fit in and be parked in the garage at night. They also require passes for those cars so we will need year, make, model, and copies of your drivers licenses. The HOA also requires a separate lease agreement. That agreement will mirror the financial terms of the Air BnB agreement. These are strict policies but also the reason why the property is so pristine.
