Whether you're passing through or just need a place to escape, this stylish home in the mountains is within minutes of hiking, biking, and everything else Missoula has to offer. The space Located in the mountains of Missoula at the end of a cul-de-sac, this quiet oasis borders wilderness area (protected by an environmental easement) where you're likely to see local wildlife, such as birds (the "Meadowlark," after which the property is named, is Montana's state bird and can be heard singing throughout the day), deer, elk, raccoons, and maybe even a black bear. Please note that access to the main level requires the use of stairs, but with access to the double garage, you can avoid climbing the exterior stairs. Plus, the view from the living room is well worth the ascent! All bedrooms except one are on the main/upper level, with one bedroom & bathroom, as well as laundry services, downstairs. The Master has a queen bed, its own bathroom, tons of closet space, and private deck access. The other rooms have side-by-side twin beds, a pull-out trundle (with 2 twins), and a queen bed (downstairs). Smart TVs are located in the main living area, the master bedroom, and the basement bedroom. Everyone appreciates the spectacular views of the entire valley without sacrificing quick accessibility to everything you want to do in town. Families are awesome! Our home is perfect for large groups of family and friends coming to Missoula for special events who like to spend time together in a spacious and comfortable house with plenty of privacy for all guests. The space The main floor includes a large kitchen with casual dining and a sitting/work area by the fireplace. The kitchen also has direct access to an extra large back deck with a propane gas grill, patio table, chairs and chaise lounges. Especially great for summer entertaining. An adjacent living room features 10' ceilings and a see-through floor to ceiling fireplace. A second living room or "den" works as a sitting area by day with and converts into a sleeping area by night with a new queen pull-out sofa. It also includes a TV with streaming services and a dvd player. A formal dining room seats 8 or more in style. An upstairs queen bedroom and bathroom are in their own private alcove area. You also have the use of a laundry room and access to a 3 car garage. The lower level features a vast great room living area, including sitting and TV space, a see-through fireplace, a corner workspace, a games/eating table and chairs, a larger mini-fridge and coffee maker. Through patio doors there is direct access to an extra large paved back patio and lawn space (unfenced). This lower patio features a table and chairs as well as a conversational area with wicker lounge chairs and a fire pit. There are two bedrooms zones separated by the living area for privacy. One side features a bedroom and private bath and the opposite wing has two bedrooms and another bathroom. All of the downstairs bedrooms have over-sized closets. Even though it is on the lower level it is a full daylight walkout on a downhill slope so it gets a lot of light. The ceilings are 9’ high which in addition to the natural light creates a very bright and airy space. It's definitely NOT a "basement". The house with 4 bedrooms sleeps 8 comfortably on regular beds and mattresses. There is room for more, utilizing the options of: a new queen sofa bed in the upstairs den with privacy doors, a queen air mattress and a full size floor mattress. The preferred maximum occupancy is 10 but if you have extra people, especially children, check with me. Based on pre-approval only. The house is designed for you to be outside. The patio and deck options provide outdoor living fun day and night. The neighborhood is excellent for walking options with many public spaces. You'll enjoy the cathedral-ceilinged living room with a 55" Roku TV and electric fireplace, perfect for hanging out in the evenings. The spacious kitchen has a massive kitchen island and is ideal for cooks and guests. The dining room is part of the living room and kitchen area; it seats 10, plus 3 at the kitchen island. Enjoy the vintage midcentury modern stereo cabinet with record player for fun! Also on the ground floor is the den/game room with 65" Roku TV, game table, and leather sofa and loveseat which folds out into queen-sized bed. Enjoy the movie theater sconce lighting! Just outside the den/game room is the entertainment deck with hot tub. Enjoy the 4-person hot tub while others are lounging on the comfortable outdoor furniture, complete with fire table and umbrella. This charming 1902 Queen Anne home is perfect for a getaway with family or friends, a romantic trip, or whatever suits your travel needs. Ideally located, it's just a five minute walk to downtown and fifteen to the University—both of which can be accessed via the bikepath three blocks away. Five minute walk to the historic “hip strip” where you’ll find restaurants, cafés, breweries, and shopping. Two major bus lines (free in Missoula!) are both within two blocks. Grocery store one block away. The space Experience the charm of this historic home built during the height of the roaring 20’s. As you walk up the stairs and into the hallway of this private second story apartment, you’ll notice the original light fixtures, door knobs, and ornate details of the time. Upon entering the living room, you will experience the high ceilings, hardwood flooring, and abundant natural light while surrounded by mature Norway maple trees that line the boulevard. Note: stairs leading to the apartment are somewhat steep but have handrails on each side. Use caution! The apartment has three bedrooms, each of similar size, with the southern-most a couple feet larger and closer to the full bathroom.
