Life is better at the lake!!! Our Hyco Home is located in the most convenient part of Hyco Lake. The house is right across the water from the Hyco Lake Marina and the camp-ground. In June 2021 we remodeled almost every aspect of the home starting with the kitchens and bathrooms and down to the door hinges and outlet covers. Every design decision was based on what would provide our guests the best possible experience. We brightened up the home with new lighting, painting, and opened up the home anyway we could. The home was designed by remote workers to be for remote work. Along with high-speed internet (only a few homes on the lake have this fast of the internet), 3 bedrooms have private desks and there is plenty of room in the common areas to work. We brought in high-quality furniture that is both comfortable and stylish. Most of the beds are gel memory foam. We upgraded to the best possible internet (speeds up to 1000 Mbit/sec). We will continue to upgrade the home over time as well! The home is very spacious with 6 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. **NOTE: There is no refund if the jacuzzi is not working. We will try our best to make sure it is working and in good condition at all times but are NOT responsible for a refund if it isn't working or is offline for repairs or maintenance. There is plenty of room to sleep comfortably. Hyco Haven has two floors that both have large living rooms and patios. The top floor has two king master bedrooms. The main master has an attached private bathroom with a double vanity, shower, and jacuzzi tub. There is a desk in the master, a 42" tv, and a large walk-in closet. The second master that we call the "auxiliary master" has a king bed, a reading nook, and an attached bathroom that has a shower tub. The main area has a remodeled kitchen and island with 4 bar stools. The 6 person dining room table is right off the island The main floor is attached to the garage. For the time being, guests are not permitted to use the garage. Each upstairs bedroom and the main area have both sheer and black-out curtains. Both master bedrooms, as well as the living space, have easy sliding door access to the spacious back deck. The back deck has a covered patio with a large 10 person picnic table. Right off the back deck is the grilling patio with a grill and another table with seating. The downstairs area is a fully-equipped entertainment zone with a pool table, a spacious TV area with a sectional couch, and a large 55-inch TV. For added convenience, a bathroom is located just steps away. Four bedrooms surround the downstairs living area. Three of the bedrooms have queen beds. Two of them have a desk. Two of them also have sliding doors that walk out to the basement patio and have sheer as well as black-out curtains. The fourth bedroom has a bunk-bed with a full-on the bottom and twin bed on the top. There are also two chairs that can be pulled out and turned into queen beds. Here's a quick summary of the sleeping arrangements: Upstairs: Master Bedroom 1: King bed Auxiliary Master Bedroom 2: King bed Downstairs: Bedroom 3: Queen bed Bedroom 4: Queen bed Bedroom 5: Queen bed + pull-out twin bed Bedroom 6: Bunk bed (full bed on the bottom + twin on the top) Common Area: Pull-out twin bed All the lake house essentials are covered! Linens and bath/lake towels are included. Washer/dryer units in the laundry room with soap and dryer sheets. The dock area has a newly renovated bar area with four bar stools and a tv. We provide 2 paddle-boards with paddles in addition to two kayaks. We provide assorted life jackets but do not guarantee we have perfect sizes for every single group of guests. The home is a straight-shot from both Roxboro (15-20) minutes away) and Danville (about 20-25 mins). Both of which have several restaurant and grocery store options. Hyco Lake is close to the triangle area (Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill). Also close to the NEW Caesars Virginia Casino in Danville. The road leading to the house is completely paved (this is a rarity on Hyco). The mural is gone due to a recent storm. The dock is completely repaired. Guest access We have been working to remodel the home and using the garage as our work-shop. Do not enter the garage. There is plenty of space to park in the driveway. The neighborhood has very nice homes and is peaceful. The road is very well paved. However, it is a windy road. Please drive very slowly and carefully on the way into the neighborhood. Please be respectful of our neighbors as there are full-time residents in this neighborhood. No loud music or noise! Especially at night. Large Family Lakehouse w/ Dock, Deck, Patio, Views

Spacious lake front home with a huge dock and expansive views! Relax with friends and family in a 5 bed/4 bath waterfront property that sleeps 14. 2500 Sqft dock has a beautiful patio area, 2 boat lifts, and a jet ski lift. Kayak and SUP use included. Main house has a large deck with sweeping sunset views, a patio that seats 15, 2 full kitchens, and a game room. Relax on the lake with lawn games, a hammock, and a fire pit. Come make memories! The space Our property is about 1 acre with lots of parking space. Our five bedrooms are ample in size. Three rooms are upstairs and two are down and three bedrooms have King beds. We have a sidewalk to the lower level bedrooms and the dock in case steps are a concern and our lower level bathroom has just a small step in to the large shower. There are two full kitchens in the home and a grilling station outdoors. We provide many of the basic needs for cooking. Our coffee bar has a regular Keurig cup dispenser and full pot, bean grinder, Vertuo Nespresso, electric kettle and loose tea pot. The dock is 2500 sqft with two boat lifts and a jet ski lift. We require an additional waiver for use of the lifts and a brief how-to review. In our bar on the dock we have a mini fridge and many different sized life vests. We are located on a fresh water lake and therefore you will see wildlife and insects. We do spray for insects but cannot keep them back entirely and are sensitive to pollinator populations. They can be particularly aggressive during mayfly season and July and August. Please drive with caution approaching the last 2-3 miles before our home as wildlife are prone to cross those quieter roads more in our observation. Available to our guests free of charge with waiver is the use of our kayak and SUP. Please care for them like they are your own and lock them up as you found them. Our home internet is lightning fast, Starlink. The best you’ll find in the area! Bring your remote work and take your meeting with a view! Guest access You’ll have access to the whole home and yard with the exception of a few locked supply closets and the garage. You will also have access to everything on the dock. Please take care and require little ones and non-swimmers to wear a vest. It’s about 7 ft deep off the end of the dock. Other things to note Our home is not child-proofed but we do welcome children. Our children are young and have done fine in the home but be aware there are no baby gates or childproof devices. A single pet is permitted. No large breed dogs please. The deep water is perfect for fishing, swimming, and boating! The space We like to think that our home is a casual and comfy place to get away and relax. White Noise machines are in 4 of the 5 bedrooms for those that may need them. Our family enjoys it here and we want our guests to as well! The area has a lot to offer if you want to stay busy(see Guidebook) or you can just simply chill on the lake and around the house. With 1 boat slip available in the boathouse you are welcome to bring your personal watercraft with you. It will accommodate a boat up to 24 feet and 4000 lbs. Please make sure to notify us if you are bringing your own watercraft. If you are interested in renting a boat we can refer you to several people that rent pontoon boats here. For your outdoor use while you are staying at Hycotherapy we provide the following: -2 Kayaks with paddles -2 Paddle Boards with paddles -Lilly-pad(swim pad) for use around dock -assorted fishing poles(limited tackle) -Hammock -firewood for fire pit -gas grill -an abundance of outdoor seating -badminton set -miscellaneous life vests in various sizes(recommend you bring your own if needed) Please note that you will need to get a permit for your personal watercraft from the Lake Authority if you choose to bring it. Also, if fishing you will need to have a fishing license; available at the Marina. You can also get bait and additional fishing tackle there. Other things to note Regarding the gas grill… I am unable to guarantee that the propane tank will always be full, so I’ll leave that up to our guests. If the tank runs out you can drive to the local Dollar General or most convenience stores in the area and do a tank exchange. We do provide firewood; however, not kindling. I usually gather some small twigs and sticks from the wooded area around our driveway and use that to start the fire.

Other things to note Things to Note We live on on a well and have a septic system. Please do not flush anything down the toilets but toilet paper. We have beach towels available for use, so no need to bring your own. All linens are included. We have left for you 1 paper towel roll in each kitchen, 1 toilet paper roll in each bathroom, dish washing soap, as well as dish detergent, washer pods and dryer sheets. Please note that supply is limited and for extended stays you will want to shop accordingly. Our house is a short-term rental, but we do not live next to short-term rentals. Please be respectful of our neighbors. Keep noise levels down to a minimum and respect the house noise rules. We offer the outdoor speakers because we know how much we like to listen to music while outside, but please do not be blasting the music at any hour of the day. Please do not be playing music outside past 10:00PM. **Our neighbors allow their dogs to peacefully wander the neighborhood. If they come onto the property please do not feed them or allow them in the house. **Most neighbors are friendly, respectful, and keep to themselves while enjoying the lake. One neighbor is not as friendly and may attempt to interact with you in a negative manner from their property. The space The ground floor includes an open kitchen dining and living room so the entire family and spend time together. Off the dining room is a screened in porch with another dining table and propane fire table. The king bed primary suite is also on the ground floor. Upstairs are two more bedrooms. One has a queen bed and the other has a full bed, sleeping couch and twin trundle. This bedroom also has a Nintendo Wii. Also upstairs is a 4th bedroom-gameroom combo. This room has 3 built in twin beds and also a comfortable couch. The kids will love this room on a rainy day with a mix of old school video games. We also have a regulation size private lakeside pickleball court. Guest access Guest have full access to the house with the exception of two closets. Other things to note The Hot tub Guests will have access to the hot tub all year. There may be times when it is unavailable due to a mechanical issue. We will attempt to correct any problem however, there is no refund if the hot tub is not available. Please follow instructions upon check-in for maintaining hot tub chemicals during your stay. Lake Access A nice gradual (170 foot) walk from the house to the lake. You will have access to a private boat dock and storage room. We have a variety of water toys including: 3 kayaks, 2 adult paddle boards, 2 youth kayaks, fishing poles, life jackets (variety f sizes), lake inflatables. Use of the kayaks, paddle-boards, and other water toys are at guests' own risk and liability. NO jumping or diving off the dock the water depth varies from 0-6 feet around the dock. Location We are very close to Virginia International Raceway (VIR), Hyco Marina, Roxboro Country Club, several wineries, and other area attractions. Pets We do not allow pets.

We’d like to share the entire lower level of our 7,000 sqf new house (Oct’22). You will have your privacy without anybody staying upstairs or anywhere on the entire property, including the pool and boat house. This level has ten-foot ceiling and 3 bedrooms with lake view and 1 with garden view, full kitchen, dining table, tennis table, foosball table, a lot of TV’s as well as a projector (simply connect your iPhone for a movie night!), and a huge outdoor living space with a bar with a TV. The space You are renting the lower level of the house only (not the entire house), which can be accessed by the concrete walkway to the left of the garage. All 4 bed rooms have windows (3 with lake view). There is nobody else besides you and your guests at the house so you will have your privacy around the property. Our house is on the north side where water is clearer, in one of the biggest cove, close to the marina and the oversized boat house with Brazilian chestnut decking has deep water (10 ft) and a screened section. Hyco's Lux Cottage on Little Duck Cove.

Relax in a comfortable two-story home with three bedrooms and three full bathrooms. Bedrooms on are on the upper level and the kitchen and family room are on the lower level. Downstairs has multiple large windows and two sliding glass doors that open to huge patio with dinner seating, propane grill, Adirondack chairs, and a fire pit. Gently sloping backyard (with NO STAIRS) leads to a dock with afternoon shade and a perfect view of stunning sunrises. Super relaxing and great for making memories.

Enjoy a lake retreat in a cozy log cabin with three levels overlooking a quiet cove off the main channel of Hyco lake, north of the marina where the water is clearer and calmer than the southern side. A boat lift, a jetski lift and two kayaks are available for use. The basement stairs are not protected (see photo) so this place is not for very young children. We have reliable and fast Spectrum internet. New decking boards were installed everywhere including boat house in Nov 2024. The space Our place is a cute log cabin with a great view of the lake and deep water in a big quiet cove close to the marina. It has 3 bed rooms plus 3 baths on 3 different levels. The cabin has a large deck, a patio underneath it, and a outdoor sitting area around a fire pit with wooden steps leading to the boat house, all with new decking boards installed in 2024. It is 10 minutes to Virginia Intern’l Raceway and 30 minutes to the new Caesars Casino in Danville.

Our property spans about 1 acre with ample parking space. Main Floor The main floor features the kitchen, dining, and main living room areas. Large picture windows allow for gorgeous views of the lake from every room on the main floor. French doors lead to a large, wrap-around deck with options for comfortable seating in a covered area, or in the open air. The kitchen is well-appointed with an air fryer, oven, crockpot, toaster, Keurig & regular coffee maker, blender, microwave, dishwasher, along with plenty of dishes, cookware, and utensils to make cooking a breeze. Also on the main floor is one bedroom with a king bed, a private bathroom with a walk-in shower and double vanity. The main floor also has an additional full bathroom with a walk-in shower. You’ll also find fishing gear, floats, kayaks, paddle boards, and various sizes of life vests. Ample seating options are available in both covered and open air areas. Internet and Remote Work Our home offers lightning-fast Spectrum internet, the best you'll find in the area. Bring your remote work and enjoy meetings with a view! Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home and yard, except for a few locked supply closets. Keypad entry will be provided with check-in information prior to your arrival. You'll also have access to everything on the dock. Please ensure little ones and non-swimmers wear a life vest, as the water can be around 10 ft deep off the end of the dock. We have beautiful sunsets that can be enjoyed from the house or from the boat dock. The house is beautifully landscaped with a fire pit built for relaxing. Guest access You will have access to the entire house which has three bedrooms and two baths. One of the bedrooms is the master suite with the bathroom attached. It is the perfect spot for a quiet getaway to relax and recharge in all seasons. The private dock is your launchpad to Hyco Lake. As a floating dock - it offers connection and proximity to water whatever the level of the lake. Climb in/out of the water using the swim ladder or just jump right in! The floating dock is the perfect place to relax, fish, swim/float, stargaze or launch a canoe, kayak or paddle board (provided!). The views from the dock are peaceful and lovely - looking out onto a largely undeveloped portion of Hyco Lake. Trees provide shade in the late afternoon. The cove also offers protection and quiet from the passing boats during high season. It is a favorite for hyco lake fishermen, due to underwater structure provided by fallen trees. Dock has deep water access and cleats that provides ability to tie up your boat (even large pontoons) for your entire stay. This home is perfect for a couples get away, looking to recharge away from the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives. Roxboro is about 25 minutes away from the home. The space The kitchen is located on the top floor with one bedroom offering a queen bed, a bathroom as well as the laundry units. Downstairs you will enter in the game room with a entertainment table, dart board and relaxing couch. Downstairs you will find an additonal bedroom with a queen bed and second bathroom. The home has a beautiful deck with outdoor siting and gas grill as well a relaxing patio downstairs. The property is 10 minutes to Buoys Bar and Grill.

A lakeside retreat to call your own (at least for a little while). This two bedroom, one bath scenic cottage sits on approximately 250 feet of waterfront where you have a lake view from the huge screen porch. An open floor plan with fully furnished kitchen, beds, and full bath will make this an exceptional getaway. Nestled deep in the forest, the dock is accessible by a path that is steep in places or staircase plus steep timber steps with no handrail. Water depth at dock is shallow. The space Our cottage has several smart home features that require a minimal amount of basic modern technology knowledge. If you are not comfortable using a keypad door lock, touchscreen, thermostat, smart TVs without cable, or know how to connect your personal devices to our Wi-Fi network, this is probably not the place for you. The lake and dock are not at all handicap accessible and the path as well as staircase with timber steps are steep with no handrails. If you are still reading, I know you will love the home's open floorplan with living, dining, and kitchen all together, and bath plus bedrooms on other end of house. There is a huge screen porch down the full length of the house plus a covered front porch. The boathouse is screened and has a light/fan/electricity and dining area. There is also a hammock and swing up by the house with a fire pit, small charcoal grill, and outdoor seating. There are timber stairs leading down the hill to the water or a path around the woods but no handrails to the water. We have most needs for babies/ small children included so no need to bring your pack-n-play, high chair, potty, hiking backpack or toys. We have 2 smart TVs, DVD player, and WiFi but not cable. We upgraded our hot water heater and HVAC units recently and washer/dryer are on-site. Other items available by request are strollers, additional hiking backpacks, baby floats and more toys. Pedal boat and floats are included for free; kayaks are available for rent. Early/late check in/checkout acceptable when available. Please note- this cottage is in the forest and next to water and comes with all the normal perks of nature.. this includes mosquitoes, spiders, and ants.. we do our best to make your stay as pest-free as possible (regular service) but please understand the environment you are choosing. Message with any other questions! Guest access Our home is your home. You are welcome to use anything in the house but please leave it in the same (or better) condition as you found it. If you use all the shampoo, bug spray, sunscreen, etc, please let us know so we can replace it for our next guests. If you break something, please let us know about that too. Kitchen items, linens and towels are all provided. We have 2 smart TVs, DVDs, and wifi as well as board games and puzzles. We ask that if you have a large group or used most of the towels/sheets provided that you throw your linens in the washer and start a load drying if possible (no need to fold) before you go. Please be careful about leaving food out, this year we haven’t had any problems but sugar ants have been an issue in the past! Also note that we try to clear the spider webs on the porch and dock before you arrive but those guys are so fast at making new ones that you will likely see a few. If you plan to complain about being in nature, this isn’t the place for you! Other things to note We have a pedal boat that you are welcome to use as well as random older fishing gear located down at the dock/boathouse. Let us know if you would like to bring your own boat so we can check the water level needed for yours. Kayaks are available for rent with waiver of liability.

PLEASE NOTE: The house is in the woods next to a lake and any stay will include encounters with nature, bugs and weather. If you are not comfortable with this then you will want to seek alternative accommodations. The space The house is ~600 square feet and includes two small bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and a main living area with kitchen. There is a screened in porch with a table perfect for dining, chairs overlooking the lake and a peaceful hammock. Bedrooms have curtains in place of doors to open up the space. This is a small rustic home located in the woods and near a lake - guests should be aware that they share the space with plants and animals. Other things to note Our home is a great place for the casual traveler and families. If you prefer luxury accommodations this is not for you. There is no dishwasher and we request that guests clean their dishes as best as they can prior to leaving to avoid a high cleaning fee. The home is a simple older home. There are a few places where the wall paneling can come loose and where age has resulted in a few cracks. We enjoy these rustic nuances and hope you do too.

Our private guesthouse is the perfect spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. It's cozy, comfortable and accommodates four people. You have access to a private dock where you can swim, fish, boat, or just lounge in the sun. If you love the serenity lake life offers, then this is the place for you! The space The space you will be staying is a private guesthouse which is in a separate building on an acre property. You will have access to our dock and are welcome to tie your boat up if you have one. The first floor consists of a game room, which has a pool table, ping pong table, air hockey, dart board, and poker table. Also on the first floor is a living area containing a trundle bed which has two twin mattresses. Located upstairs is the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. The kitchen has a sink, keurig, kettle, double cast iron burner, mini toaster oven, and mini fridge. It does not have a full oven. We also provide plates, cutlery, pots and pans, and anything else you might need. The bathroom has a single sink, shower/tub with a curved shower rod for added space. The bedroom has a queen sized bed, 2 wicker chairs for a sitting area, a dresser, and large television. There are several cubbies in the room which allow for storage of your items. There is a covered area outside the guesthouse which has a swing, table, and gas BBQ grill. Feel free to use any of these items. Please note there is no direct view of the lake from the guesthouse. It’s a short (100 yard) walk to enjoy the dock, the lake, and everything it offers. The Virginia International Raceway is a mere 15 minutes (11 miles) away! ******Last but not least, We love traveling with our dogs and welcome yours at our rental. If you do plan on traveling with your fur baby, please let us know. There is a $100 fee if you do not notify us. Guest access The main house and porch is off limits to guests. Other things to note We love our dogs and know you do to. This is why we allow up to two dogs on the property during your stay. We ask you be respectful of our neighbors and if your dogs need to be on leash, then they are kept on leash. Please pick up any waste made by your pets.
