Although we do regular pest control and have stellar cleaning service, even the newest homes can have uninvited pests. If you already know the site of one will ruin your stay, take this opportunity to rebook your vacation in a setting not surrounded by wilderness. Otherwise, you are accepting in this agreement that you understand that occasional wildlife and insects not ordinarily seen in other settings may be on the property. Guests are expected to be prepared with aws / 4wd or chains to handle driving in inclement/ winter weather. Guests are expected to be able to manage common home operations such as resetting a breaker, unclogging a toilet or using the fireplace. Guests understand that internet and power outages are beyond management's control and although management can help report such outages, ongoing updates and resolutions come from the utility companies directly.  -Neighbors All our homes feel private, often surrounded by thick trees and wilderness, and hot tubs are all private- just for you- and situated so that you will feel like there is no one else around so guests return home feeling relaxed and refreshed. But- we are just an hour from Seattle and population continues to grow, so keep in mind that most of these homes are in communities with neighboring houses. "Secluded" in our area usually means off-grid with no power or water which are amenities we would prefer to provide!   -Utilities Our homes are all on wells or have systems that bring water from the river. It is then thoroughly filtered and all systems have been tested to assure it is potable water. However, minerals in the ground often may add an orange taint that can stain spas, toilets, sinks and tubs. Do not be alarmed, it is just something that happens when the water table changes.   Power outages may happen and are often resolved quite quickly unless caused by inclement weather. If your life depends on constant electricity or internet access, staying in the wilderness in a national forest is not advised. Well pumps are also run by electricity so in case of power outages, the water will also be out. We provide emergency lighting, some emergency water, water from spas can be poured in a toilet to flush and most homes have firewood for heat, so guests have the option to wait it out or depart and receive a 30% refund of the nights impacted as per Airbnb’s Extenuating Circumstances policy. We highly recommend purchasing trip insurance, especially during the months of inclement weather when outages can be frequent.  -River The river changes with the seasons, and each year banks and access points may change as well, so we are unable to make any guarantees on what the condition of the river or access will be but we do our best to maintain access during warmer months. Many of our homes are set between waterfalls. If you plan on navigating the river in boats or floats, please be sure you know the river well or contact someone that does (us, Alpine Adventures, or Outdoor Adventure Center). Children should never be unattended at the river (or in spas). Life jackets are recommended, especially for children, but not provided. The spring months of April - June/ early July tend to be the most dangerous because the weather gets hot, the river looks cool, and everyone wants to swim- but at these times the river is swift and cold from snow melt and the undercurrent is deadly. Please use caution! Please also make sure to check current fishing regulations if you plan on fishing.  -Usage Owners are sharing their private homes with you, so please honor this privilege by being a respectful guest and neighbor. Events, parties, or gatherings with non-paying guests are not allowed and occupancy is strictly enforced. Pets need to be kept on a leash when out and about and clean up your pet waste. Firearms and fireworks are strictly forbidden!! It is important we all follow these easy rules so counties and neighborhoods will continue to welcome vacation rentals and their guests. Thank you!  -Make sure you've received your "Final Arrival Instructions" link before you go A week before your arrival, we will send your "Final Arrival Instructions" link via text or Airbnb, and this will have all the information you need to get to, and into, the cabin including access codes and directions. We encourage you to follow our detailed directions, not gps.   -Make sure your guest and pet count are correct Double check your details, including guest and pet count, to be sure we have the correct information. If you wish to have visiting guests, please let us know in advance so we do not assume they are unauthorized nightly guests. Pets are welcome for just $50 each. We expect pet waste to be picked up and properly bagged in outdoor trash bins. Pets absolutely cannot be left in homes unattended unless they are crated!

The cabin by May creek is the ideal place to get in touch with nature, relax, and enjoy a getaway. A comfortable and spacious house set in a 5.5-acre property crossed by a creek, and with heavy woods around. The constant murmuring of the water passing by the creek will ensure a restful night sleep and the chirp of birds will greet you good morning while you sip a coffee overlooking the mountains from the covered porch. The space An open concept layout that allows you to entertain with your group while indoors: Lit up a fire in the wood-burning stove and play some family games and stories. Share a meal by the large table in a holiday fashion way. If you need to stay on your own for a bit, retreat to the cozy nook that overlooks the mountains through a round window and enjoy a good reading or a glass of wine. The covered porch is the perfect place to have your morning coffee or an evening soirée, overlooking the mountains, hearing the birds chirp, and the occasional train whistle in the distance. Eagles like to fly over the area, so don't be surprised to spot them, or the family of deers that live in the neighborhood and sometimes come to eat our growing vegetables. Take a walk through the 5-acre property, enjoy a healthy snack of wild berries, or a freshly picked fruit (apple, pear, apricots, and cherry trees in the property). Enjoy the amazing sounds of the rushing Skykomish River and breath taking views of the Cascade Mountains right from the backyard. Our backyard is equipped with everything you need to maximize the fun — including yard games, corn hole, a horse shoe pit, and ring toss. The backyard also includes a large fire pit (BYO firewood), which is perfect for roasting marshmallows with friends and family. After a long day of skiing or hiking, relax and unwind in our hot tub. In the morning, enjoy a hot coffee from our riverside lounge chairs and wave to the kayakers floating by! We provide a fully stocked kitchen with everything from pots/pans to spices in order to give you all the comforts of home! You can even make yourself a backyard picnic with our state-of-the-art grill located on our BRAND NEW massive deck. Both the indoor and outdoor dining tables are perfect for the entire group, seating up to 8 people each. Our master bedroom features 1 queen size bed with a cozy comforter and plenty of throw blankets to make sure you stay warm during ski season! The second bedroom also features 1 queen bed and a smart TV. Our 3rd bedroom includes a bunk bed with 1 double bed on the bottom and 1 twin bed on the top. Our home is equipped with high speed wifi, which is perfect for those working from home or streaming from several devices at once. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home and backyard. Your private paradise awaits! At this time, although the views are spectacular, there is no path currently down to the river from our backyard. There is access to the river within walking distance (0.2 miles) at Big Eddy Public Water Access. Other things to note You are more than welcome to bring your furry friends, but there is a pet fee ($175) due to extra cleaning that is required. Please note, we do require a rental agreement to be signed to ensure that you're aware of all house rules.

If interior doors are kept open, it will keep the property cooled down during heat waves. Heat: There are several heat sources to choose from. A mini split and a wood burning fireplace (firewood provided) in the main space and several baseboard / wall heaters throughout the property. Housekeeping fee: It's easy to feel put off by a cleaning fee. But rather than being stuck in a hotel room, you get a whole property to yourself, and that takes a little more effort to care for between reservations. We have a handful of amazing humans that come and freshen the hot tub, clean the grill, remove garbage & recycling, clean & sanitize the home as well as the costs of restocking fresh linens, toiletries, coffee bar items, firewood, etc. Wildlife: We feel fortunate to share this space with so much wildlife. Please do NOT feed the animals and keep an eye on your pets and small children. Store food indoors, keep grill clean and keep lids on garbage cans to avoid attracting bears. Keep door shut, screens on windows and food stored properly to avoid uninvited rodent friends. Power outages: Staying in the wilderness does sometimes come with an occasional power outage. This is out of our control. We provide flashlights and firewood for heat. You are welcome to text us to let us know and we'd be happy to follow the outage map and provide updates. Internet outages: Internet outages are out of our control but you are welcome to text us and we'd be happy to investigate! Water: The lodge is on a well with a filtration system. Please be gentle on it by not flushing anything but toilet paper down the toilets. Usage: Please be a respectful guest and neighbor. Maximum occupancy is strictly enforced. We do not allow parties. (Sorry cats, we love you!) We charge a flat pet fee and allow a maximum of 3 dogs. We do not have any restrictions on pet size but we do not allow high shedding breeds as it truly impacts our cleaners preparing the property for the next guests. Excessive dog hair will result in an extra cleaning fee. We appreciate dogs staying off of the furniture and they must be crated if you leave them in the home unattended. Please discard waste in the outdoor trash bins. Pooper scooper located on the deck. Waste bags, dog towels and dog bowls are provided. Please bring your own dog bed/blanket. Guests are expected to be prepared with aws / 4wd or chains to handle driving in inclement/ winter weather. Guests are expected to be able to manage common home operations such as resetting a breaker, unclogging a toilet or using the fireplace. Guests understand that internet and power outages are beyond management's control and although management can help report such outages, ongoing updates and resolutions come from the utility companies directly.  -Neighbors All our homes feel private, often surrounded by thick trees and wilderness, and hot tubs are all private- just for you- and situated so that you will feel like there is no one else around so guests return home feeling relaxed and refreshed. But- we are just an hour from Seattle and population continues to grow, so keep in mind that most of these homes are in communities with neighboring houses. "Secluded" in our area usually means off-grid with no power or water which are amenities we would prefer to provide!   -Utilities Our homes are all on wells or have systems that bring water from the river. It is then thoroughly filtered and all systems have been tested to assure it is potable water. However, minerals in the ground often may add an orange taint that can stain spas, toilets, sinks and tubs. Do not be alarmed, it is just something that happens when the water table changes.   Power outages may happen and are often resolved quite quickly unless caused by inclement weather. If your life depends on constant electricity or internet access, staying in the wilderness in a national forest is not advised. Well pumps are also run by electricity so in case of power outages, the water will also be out. We provide emergency lighting, some emergency water, water from spas can be poured in a toilet to flush and most homes have firewood for heat, so guests have the option to wait it out or depart and receive a 30% refund of the nights impacted as per Airbnb’s Extenuating Circumstances policy. We highly recommend purchasing trip insurance, especially during the months of inclement weather when outages can be frequent.  -River The river changes with the seasons, and each year banks and access points may change as well, so we are unable to make any guarantees on what the condition of the river or access will be but we do our best to maintain access during warmer months. Many of our homes are set between waterfalls. If you plan on navigating the river in boats or floats, please be sure you know the river well or contact someone that does (us, Alpine Adventures, or Outdoor Adventure Center). Children should never be unattended at the river (or in spas). Life jackets are recommended, especially for children, but not provided. The spring months of April - June/ early July tend to be the most dangerous because the weather gets hot, the river looks cool, and everyone wants to swim- but at these times the river is swift and cold from snow melt and the undercurrent is deadly. Please use caution! Please also make sure to check current fishing regulations if you plan on fishing.  -Usage Owners are sharing their private homes with you, so please honor this privilege by being a respectful guest and neighbor. Events, parties, or gatherings with non-paying guests are not allowed and occupancy is strictly enforced. Pets need to be kept on a leash when out and about and clean up your pet waste. Firearms and fireworks are strictly forbidden!! It is important we all follow these easy rules so counties and neighborhoods will continue to welcome vacation rentals and their guests. Other things to note Please note: We love our pet guests and do not have any extra pet fees (being pet owners ourselves we get so frustrated with crazy pet fee add-on's!) The barrel sauna is now only exclusive to the main cabin guests to use at their leisure, no reservations required and no sharing with other rentals! The beds: the primary bedroom is a queen, twin bunk bed set in the second bedroom, and a queen-sized couch bed in the living room. we provide a mattress topper for additional comfort if needed. We ask as part of check-out that you wash any remaining dishes and set them out to dry, and to put garbage and recycling into our outside bins. Smoking/vaping is prohibited anywhere on the property, both inside and outside. We and the guests after you would appreciate it if you follow our rules. If our rules are abused, we may ask for additional reasonable cleaning fees via Airbnb. The HOA also has reasonable rules which are posted in the cabin; any fees incurred for violating HOA rules are the responsibility of the guest. Please do NOT feed the animals and keep an eye on your pets and small children. Power outages: Staying in the wilderness during inclement weather does sometimes come with an occasional power outage. Usually they are resolved quickly. We provide a flashlights and lanterns, and a selection of blankets to keep you warm. We also have a wood stove! If the power is out for an extended time and you'd like to end your stay early, we will refund you the nights you could not stay. Emergency kit: There is a well-stocked emergency kit in the cabin, in a large red crate. The kit can sustain 6 people up to 3 days. The fee for access, use, or removal of the kit outside of an emergency is $500. Water: The water for the cabin is municipal and is safe for drinking. Septic: The cabin is on a septic system. Please be gentle on it by not flushing anything but toilet paper down the toilets. Usage: Please be a respectful guest and neighbor. The yard is great for small gatherings, but ask that you treat our home as you would your own and let us know how many people will be staying during your reservation. Fireworks and firearms are strictly forbidden. The entire property is non-smoking. Pets: We welcome well-behaved dogs. Please do not allow pets on the furniture. Please discard pet waste in the outdoor trash bins. An outdoor pooper scooper is available, and pet disposal bags and a leash are located in the hall closet.

Gold Bar was originally occupied by the native Skykomish people to whom we honor as the original stewards of the land. Western prospectors later came in 1869 after miners found trace amounts of gold in the river gravel. Over time, Gold Bar became an offbeat getaway spot for those seeking to fish and hunt in the area. The property itself has evolved over many owners and renovations since first being constructed in 1956. The inquisitive eye might even notice the oddly placed electric panel located by the dining table. In an earlier stage of the property, that space was simply the garage and the entire wing of the cabin where the primary bedroom now resides did not exist. Somewhere on the property itself is also a buried concrete bunker from the Cold War era! In the more recent past, previous owners have attempted to use the property to live off the land with subsistence farming and raise horses, goats, and chickens. Prior to becoming the game room, the detached garage space was at various points used as an illicit marijuana farm, a boat parts ecommerce business, and a more traditional garage shed full of tools and dirt bikes.

Although we do regular pest control and have stellar cleaning service, even the newest homes can have uninvited pests. If you already know the site of one will ruin your stay, take this opportunity to rebook your vacation in a setting not surrounded by wilderness. Otherwise, you are accepting in this agreement that you understand that occasional wildlife and insects not ordinarily seen in other settings may be on the property. Guests are expected to be prepared with aws / 4wd or chains to handle driving in inclement/ winter weather. Guests are expected to be able to manage common home operations such as resetting a breaker, unclogging a toilet or using the fireplace. Guests understand that internet and power outages are beyond management's control and although management can help report such outages, ongoing updates and resolutions come from the utility companies directly.  -Neighbors All our homes feel private, often surrounded by thick trees and wilderness, and hot tubs are all private- just for you- and situated so that you will feel like there is no one else around so guests return home feeling relaxed and refreshed. But- we are just an hour from Seattle and population continues to grow, so keep in mind that most of these homes are in communities with neighboring houses. "Secluded" in our area usually means off-grid with no power or water which are amenities we would prefer to provide!   -Utilities Our homes are all on wells or have systems that bring water from the river. It is then thoroughly filtered and all systems have been tested to assure it is potable water. However, minerals in the ground often may add an orange taint that can stain spas, toilets, sinks and tubs. Do not be alarmed, it is just something that happens when the water table changes.   Power outages may happen and are often resolved quite quickly unless caused by inclement weather. If your life depends on constant electricity or internet access, staying in the wilderness in a national forest is not advised. Well pumps are also run by electricity so in case of power outages, the water will also be out. We provide emergency lighting, some emergency water, water from spas can be poured in a toilet to flush and most homes have firewood for heat, so guests have the option to wait it out or depart and receive a 30% refund of the nights impacted as per Airbnb’s Extenuating Circumstances policy. We highly recommend purchasing trip insurance, especially during the months of inclement weather when outages can be frequent.  -River There is NOT river access from this property, community access is within walking distance. The river changes with the seasons, and each year banks and access points may change as well, so we are unable to make any guarantees on what the condition of the river or access will be but we do our best to maintain access during warmer months. Many of our homes are set between waterfalls. If you plan on navigating the river in boats or floats, please be sure you know the river well or contact someone that does (us, Alpine Adventures, or Outdoor Adventure Center). Children should never be unattended at the river (or in spas). Life jackets are recommended, especially for children, but not provided. The spring months of April - June/ early July tend to be the most dangerous because the weather gets hot, the river looks cool, and everyone wants to swim- but at these times the river is swift and cold from snow melt and the undercurrent is deadly. Please use caution! Please also make sure to check current fishing regulations if you plan on fishing.  -Usage Owners are sharing their private homes with you, so please honor this privilege by being a respectful guest and neighbor. Events, parties, or gatherings with non-paying guests are not allowed and occupancy is strictly enforced. Pets need to be kept on a leash when out and about and clean up your pet waste. Firearms and fireworks are strictly forbidden!! It is important we all follow these easy rules so counties and neighborhoods will continue to welcome vacation rentals and their guests. Should there be a snowstorm, AWD is recommended, as the highway and neighborhood snow can get deep. Wildlife: We feel fortunate to share this space with so much wildlife. Please do NOT feed the animals and keep an eye on your pets and small children. Power outages: Staying in the wilderness during inclement weather does sometimes come with an occasional power outage. Usually they are resolved quickly. We provide a flashlights and lanterns, and a selection of blankets to keep you warm. If the power is out for an extended time and you'd like to end your stay early, we will refund you the nights you could not stay. Water: The water for the cabin is maintained by a community well and is safe for drinking. Septic: The cabin is on a septic system. Please be gentle on it by not flushing anything but toilet paper down the toilets. Usage: Please be a respectful guest and neighbor. The yard is great for small gatherings, but ask that you treat our home as you would your own and let us know how many people will be staying during your reservation. Fireworks and firearms are strictly forbidden. The entire property is non-smoking. Pets: We welcome well behaved dogs. Please do not allow pets on the furniture. Please discard pet waste in the outdoor trash bins. Pooper scooper located on the deck and pet disposal bags and a leash are located in the living room closet.

However, floods have taken out the permanent stairs, so access to the river is sketchy from the deck. The rocks below the cabin are dangerous when wet and I have warnings posted on the gate to the stairs. It's really not safe, so use the river access from the beach or the county property at either end of the community. Other things to note Please respect quiet hours after 11PM-8AM outside due to neighbors living on either side.

Welcome to our mountain oasis on 17 acres. Enjoy breathtaking views from every room! There’s so much gorgeous nature to explore in our area, but you may find yourself not wanting to even leave the property. - Steven's Pass ski resort, 45 min - Wallace Falls, 10 min - Skykomish river access, 5 min - Mountain views from the 6 person hot tub - Pool table, poker table, and fire pit We are open to events but would require special pricing. Note: We live in a separate home on the property. The space The house is 5 beds / 3.5 bath and a spacious 4400 sqft! Upon entry you're met with a huge great room and open kitchen + breakfast nook on the first floor. One wing consists of the full master suite while the other holds 2 bedrooms and a full bath. The basement has a massive den, a full extra kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 1 full bath. Enjoy plenty of outdoor space. The upstairs has a wrap-around balcony including an eating area with a view to die for. The basement walks out to a truly massive patio with a hot tub and 2 grills to feed an entire family (or two). There’s a fire pit available for guest use as well. This property is on a private 17 acres with a vineyard, apple trees, ponds, woods, etc. We (the owners) live in a separate house on the property. We are working on building a small but productive family farm. We have some friendly goats, our livestock guardian dog in training, and some working barn cats that you may see or hear. You may also see us around, tending to the animals or the land- although we are good at giving our guests privacy and space :) You are also likely to see wildlife when you're here! You may catch a glimpse of some interesting birds at our bird feeders, the local deer family that eats our grapes, bobcats, coyotes, or even black bears. Guest access Guests will have the chalet and the back patio and balcony all to themselves. Guests have access to our fire pit, herb garden, vineyard, and the path around our ponds, although they may see us (the owners) taking care of things in those areas from time to time. Guests should be aware that we have (well marked) electric fencing on the property.

A deck 20 feet up offers elevated creek views, and private trails connect to thousands of acres of wilderness. A 9’ folding glass wall and full-glass shower open the cabin to nature. Smart projector, convertible couch, and a king-short loft bed make every inch of this small footprint comfortable. Small space, big adventure. The space The extra bed is the couch that folds out into a flat bed. Heat and AC is provided via a mini-split and propane fireplace. The home is a very efficiently designed 200 square-foot floor plan. There are private trails to a beautiful creek with a small waterfall and a wading pool for those adventurous enough to find them! If you are sensitive to morning light please bring sleeping eye mask :) Guest access Private parking with separate property entrance and lock box for key access. Other things to note The neighboring cabin can be rented to accommodate up to an additional 5 guests. See photos for Airbnb link. Please note: This is a tiny home experience! The treehouse is 200 sq. ft (not including the large deck area) The treehouse does NOT have a microwave, only a two burner stove top and toaster for cooking. This cabin retreat is 20 min to Stevens Pass & minutes to Wallace Falls State park, Lake Isabel, Lake Serene, and more, offering all year activities such as snowshoeing, skiing, kayaking, and hiking. Air mattress available for up to 4 guests total. Check-in at 4PM or later and Checkout by 11AM. Please also pick up after your dog out of respect for other guests! Other things to note There is a train that goes by a few times / day. If you're a light sleeper, it may bother you. We do no accommodate early check-ins. Please check in at 4PM or later. There will be a $25 fee for every 15 minutes per late check out. Our cleaners are on a schedule and it takes a few hours to clean up each and every time. Out of respect for other guests and out cleaners, we ask that checkout is on time. There will be a $35 fee for every extra set of linens used. This is because we have to take them to the cleaners and pay for the additional time and cost to clean extra linens. For every stay, we make sure to set aside enough linens for the # of guests staying with us.

Although we do regular pest control and have stellar cleaning service, even the newest homes can have uninvited pests. If you already know the site of one will ruin your stay, take this opportunity to rebook your vacation in a setting not surrounded by wilderness. Otherwise, you are accepting in this agreement that you understand that occasional wildlife and insects not ordinarily seen in other settings may be on the property. Guests are expected to be prepared with aws / 4wd or chains to handle driving in inclement/ winter weather. Guests are expected to be able to manage common home operations such as resetting a breaker, unclogging a toilet or using the fireplace. Guests understand that internet and power outages are beyond management's control and although management can help report such outages, ongoing updates and resolutions come from the utility companies directly.  -Neighbors All our homes feel private, often surrounded by thick trees and wilderness, and hot tubs are all private- just for you- and situated so that you will feel like there is no one else around so guests return home feeling relaxed and refreshed. But- we are just an hour from Seattle and population continues to grow, so keep in mind that most of these homes are in communities with neighboring houses. "Secluded" in our area usually means off-grid with no power or water which are amenities we would prefer to provide!   -Utilities Our homes are all on wells or have systems that bring water from the river. It is then thoroughly filtered and all systems have been tested to assure it is potable water. However, minerals in the ground often may add an orange taint that can stain spas, toilets, sinks and tubs. Do not be alarmed, it is just something that happens when the water table changes.   Power outages may happen and are often resolved quite quickly unless caused by inclement weather. If your life depends on constant electricity or internet access, staying in the wilderness in a national forest is not advised. Well pumps are also run by electricity so in case of power outages, the water will also be out. We provide emergency lighting, some emergency water, water from spas can be poured in a toilet to flush and most homes have firewood for heat, so guests have the option to wait it out or depart and receive a 30% refund of the nights impacted as per Airbnb’s Extenuating Circumstances policy. We highly recommend purchasing trip insurance, especially during the months of inclement weather when outages can be frequent.  -River There is NOT river access from this property, community access is within walking distance. The river changes with the seasons, and each year banks and access points may change as well, so we are unable to make any guarantees on what the condition of the river or access will be but we do our best to maintain access during warmer months. Many of our homes are set between waterfalls. If you plan on navigating the river in boats or floats, please be sure you know the river well or contact someone that does (us, Alpine Adventures, or Outdoor Adventure Center). Children should never be unattended at the river (or in spas). Life jackets are recommended, especially for children, but not provided. The spring months of April - June/ early July tend to be the most dangerous because the weather gets hot, the river looks cool, and everyone wants to swim- but at these times the river is swift and cold from snow melt and the undercurrent is deadly. Please use caution! Please also make sure to check current fishing regulations if you plan on fishing.  -Usage Owners are sharing their private homes with you, so please honor this privilege by being a respectful guest and neighbor. Events, parties, or gatherings with non-paying guests are not allowed and occupancy is strictly enforced. Pets need to be kept on a leash when out and about and clean up your pet waste. Firearms and fireworks are strictly forbidden!! It is important we all follow these easy rules so counties and neighborhoods will continue to welcome vacation rentals and their guests.
