Quiet Country Views

Enjoy a quiet get away on the bayou. You can enjoy kayaking, a camp fire, fishing, or sunrise on the deck. Enjoy watching the local wildlife around the cottage. Minutes away from Saugatuck, Douglas, Fennville, and Holland. Multiple local beaches and places to go hiking less than 30 minutes from the cottage. There is plenty of places to go shopping and activities for the family. Kayaks and camp fire wood will be provided. The space It is a two bedroom one bathroom cottage that can sleep up to 6 people comfortably. The bedrooms are not large but comfortable to sleep in. There is a queen size bed in the master bedroom, full size bunk bed in the second bedroom, and a pull out queen size couch in the living room. The bathroom in the cottage is small and can only fit one maybe two people at a time. There is a shower and no bathtub. The shower is smaller than the average shower. A full size kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, and the basic pots and pans to cook with along with a washer and dryer for those that need to use it. Guest access You will have full access to the cottage, deck, and fire pit area. The barn on the property is not available for use. Other things to note You will be provided 6 kayaks and some fire wood at no additional charge. Fire wood is on the black rack by the barn. There is a little wagon next to it that you can use to take wood over to the fire pit. Please reach out to the host if you would like to use a paddle board or need additional fire wood. Additional fees may be associated. Brinks Bayou does have some friendly pet ducks that stay around the cottage and may visit you. Please do not feed them or chase them. Now complete, this one-of-a-kind house was built with sustainable materials to look like a giant tire, a nod to the tires that are now hidden in the walls. The cottages at the Chapel #2, garden unit

This 2 bedroom 1 bathroom was remodeled in 2017 with spectacular views and access of the Kalamazoo river. This secluded cottage will make you feel like you are far from everything yet only few minute drive to downtown Saugatuck! This cottage is located on a very private setting with amazing views, indoor gas fireplace, outdoor fire pit, and charcoal grill. Take the stairs down to the river and launch your kayaks for a paddle on the kalamazoo river to town or try your luck at fishing. The space (There currently is not a dock at the property and the stairs are steep) The master bed has a therapeutic adjustable bed with a TV. The second bedroom has a queen bed and also has a tv. Note: you do have to walk through the master to access the second bedroom. The second bedroom has windows with no shades. The full bathroom is outfitted with a shower. Note: The shower is a smaller stall tiled shower. The cottage does have a mini split AC system.  By renting this cottage you are agreeing to the following rules:  (All rules are strictly enforced)  1.) All of our rentals are non-smoking. 2.) You and your guests are using our home at your own risk. We nor the owner of the property will be held responsible for any injuries that occur at the vacation rental or for any lost or stolen items.  3.) No boats or trailers are to be parked at our rental properties. Tents of any kind are not allowed. There is parking for 3 cars in front of cottage.  4.) Do not move the furniture. 5.) Each cottage has a maximum number of guests that is listed on this contract you must verify that it is correct. That number is not to be exceeded - this includes children and adults. For fire safety, we are required to limit the number in each home. If additional people are found to be staying at the cottage the entire group will be asked to vacate with no refund. Our glamp site is a great place to get cozy with your favorite book or person around the campfire after a day of sightseeing or touring local attractions. The River Depot

This historic jewel overlooks the river bend at New Richmond on the Lower Kalamazoo River. Riverman's dream come true! Stocked fire pit in yard. Sleeps 2 comfortably with futon in main room plus 1 bedroom and dresser, dining area. Shower and kitchen sink with hot running water (10 gal) and electric! Kitchen has pots/pans and dinnerware, dorm style fridge, microwave, coffee pot and disposable dinnerware. Outside there is a charcoal grill and picnic table in private yard. Port a jon on site. The space Historic location on the lower Kalamazoo River surrounded by nature and nostalgia. The cabin is approx 400 sq. ft. Tight quarters inside but all the fun and splendor is outside! Our 3 acre property hosts our Glamping Sites as well as our Kayak & Canoe Rental down the hill from cabin, leaving plenty of privacy for cabin guests to enjoy the splendid riverbend view. Nearby winery tours, shopping & dining experiences. Plenty of hiking trails and outdoor exploration in the immediate area. 7 miles East of Saugatuck Lakeshore 3 miles North of Fennville 12 miles South of Holland Guest access Allegan State Game Area. Our 13' diameter Cabana Bell Tent on our private river bank is comfortably furnished with 3 air mattresses, linens, throw rugs. Outside you have a picnic table, fire ring stocked with wood and small grill, charcoal provided for the first meal. (bring xtra charcoal). 5 gal water jug with hand pump. This is a great spot to retire after a day of fun and excitement touring our natural river or the local wineries and attractions. The space Our property is located on the Lower Kalamazoo River at the New Richmond river bend at the end of 57th Street . The nostalgic aire of this historic village trestle crossing provides a tranquil place to relax after a day of adventure. The swing bridge , now a pedestrian walking bridge, is the centerpiece of our beautiful walking park and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Locations. Great spot for morning walks and fishermen. Our village was once a bustling center of commerce on the Kalamazoo River, but now sits quietly on the New Richmond Riverbend. Drive or paddle in to where concrete ends and the fun begins!! Guest access No check in necessary. You may find a cable across the gravel drive if we are not present when you arrive. If you arrive late evening, drop the cable and come on in! Just follow the drive past the blue and green office trailer back to glamp site at rear of property. You are the first platform tent you will see. Your site is well equipped for your stay with an additional 1300 feet of accessible riverbank scenery and open space.

Welcome to Riverbend Aframe, a stylish A-frame cabin perched on a wooded bluff above the tranquil Kalamazoo River in Southwest Michigan. The space An open concept first floor includes a coffee bar, dining room and kitchen. The large family room and parlor boasts 30 ft. vaulted, pine ceilings, glass sliders and 7 ft. windows that highlight the surrounding natural beauty. Two queen bedrooms, one full bathroom and a stacked washer/dryer closet round out the first floor. Up one flight of stairs from the foyer, guests enter the game loft that looks below to the family room. One step up into the east dormer is a private office with a large picture window. On the west side of the loft is the master bath wetroom. The vaulted cedar ceiling and skylight compliment the rainfall shower and separate soaking tub. The master features one king bed, a reading nook, large picture windows, and 20 ft. vaulted ceilings. The exterior space features a deck overhang, patio hot tub, outdoor sauna and firepit. A private trail takes you to your own floating dock on the river/ boaters welcome. Guest access The house is located on over 3 private wooded acres and sits on the bank of the Kalamazoo River. New for 2024 is a private trail that leads down to a floating raft on the river. It’s a great spot to tie up your boat or kayak, or just fish off the raft. Other things to note Nearby towns of Saugatuck and Douglas as well as Lake Michigan are accessible from the river. Kayaking and fishing are very popular on the Kalamazoo River plus we are located next to the 50000-acre Allegan State Game Area. New Richmond Bridge Park has a boat launch and is located near the house. ORV riders? Our county has opened up the majority of its roads and trails to ORV's. Snowmobilers? Trail LP 594 is only 2 miles away and accessible right from the house.

On a wooded lot but only a short drive into downtown Saugatuck/Douglas, the Dunes, and Holland too, you have the best of all the area has to offer. The space Cabin is a standalone structure with own private outdoor space. We (the hosts) have a home on the same property so we can be helpful when needed but will otherwise leave you alone! Guest access Guests will have their own firepit, front porch and yard to spend their time in. Other things to note We do have an indoor/outdoor cat who can be a little nosey at times and may come meowing at your door. We ask that you drive slow and safely while driving on the property.

Of course, friends will want to know where you found a renovated, 12-acre farmhouse just under 2 miles from town and a five-minute drive to the beach. BUT damned if you're saying a word. They don't need to know THE ZOO offers the best of both worlds...the private, RUSTIC, country setting with star-filled nights or the crowds awaiting you in town. Nothing fancy, just fun! The space The Zoo was willed to me in 1976. My summers on grampa's farm were great. You'll get a chance to relax in an old farmhouse provided with the luxuries of today. Stream your favorite shows after days in town or at the beach. Or end each day around the firepit. Memory making at its best. Other things to note Only dogs are allowed... sorry no cats. There is not central air conditioning but three window units. It’s a 90 year-old farmhouse originally heated with oil. The Airbnb boarding process only lists central air under air conditioning options.

The space Welcome to Fennvilla! The main house at Fennvilla is a perfect place to enjoy the nature that surrounds it. Set on a peaceful, wooded, 22-acre sanctuary, the house is a perfect combination of rustic charm and modern amenities. It is cozy, yet spacious. The main floor has an open lay-out: kitchen, living room, dining room, so it’s perfect for cooking and hanging out together. There is a large screened-in porch for summer, and a toasty wood-burning stove for winter. There is also a large back deck, with a 6-person hot tub to enjoy in all seasons. The main floor has living/dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms and a renovated bathroom. Sliding doors on the main floor open to large screened-in porch. The lower level has a spacious living room (with an Apple tv, dvd player and large dvd collection), a large bedroom with a queen bed and full-sized futon, and a renovated bathroom. There is also a sliding door that opens onto the back deck/yard.  Beginning in October 2025, there will be a second guest house on the property available for rent. This unique round house, the "Tire House", has two bedrooms and a full bathroom. The Tire House is about 100 yards from the main house, and is set into the woods, providing a private and cozy feel. Both houses have their own fire pit, hot tub and deck/outdoor space. If you have a large group, the houses can be rented out together. The space Two guest suits across the hall from one another, cute and cozy, rent this one or both. Lovely shared back patio area with a fire pit if a fire is desired. Grill are also available for your use. Guest access Please note there are 6 steps that bring you down to the suites. There are two and they are across the hall from one another and they do share a wall. Other things to note Although there is a small kitchen, it does not have a stove or cooktop. Coffee is offered but please bring your own creamer. Towels, toilet paper and sheets are included, however, toiletries are not included.

If you notice any evidence of pests indoors, please notify our office promptly so we can address the situation. - Exploring the adjacent woods may look fun, but this area is filled with poison ivy. Please stick to the areas of the lawn that have been mowed for your enjoyment. - Use of the bicycles is at your own risk. We do not guarantee the upkeep or service of the bicycles. If you use any of the recreational items in the garage, please put them back where you found them before your departure. - The loft area, which includes a queen sofa sleeper, does not have window coverings. - While this is a secluded, country location, the driveway is shared and you can see 1 neighboring house from the property.  - The pond is private and is not available for swimming or fishing. - Well Water: The home uses well water filtered through a reverse osmosis system. Though the water is safe to drink, those who are accustomed to city water may wish to bring bottled water for drinking. The naturally high mineral content in the area can sometimes leave an orange tint on white surfaces, including tubs, toilets, and linens washed at the home. This is normal and not harmful. We know you will enjoy your stay at our beautiful 3800 sq. ft. Saugatuck home on 3.3 acres just 8 minutes from downtown. This home features vaulted ceilings, a grand front porch, and a basement full of activities for all ages, including billiards, pop-a-shot, air hockey, theater, work out room, and a hot tub. This home sleeps 16, and for bigger groups, you can rent our home next door to sleep 14 more. The space COVID-19 We are actively working with our local cleaning service to ensure that enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols are in place for all changeover days including targeting high touch areas like door handles, remote controls, and light switches for disinfection. All laundry is already done on-site in the home to reduce the possibility of contamination. Additionally, our cleaning service never brings in their own equipment such as vacuums, brooms, etc. which reduces the possibility of cross contamination between properties. Close enough to Saugatuck but far away so that you can have a peaceful nature feeling. The space There are two rooms downstairs and three upstairs. The space As you enter through the front door, you will be greeted by the breathtaking view. You will also get a glimpse of just a few pieces of the contemporary art collection found throughout the entire house. The entryway is open on 3 sides. To the right once you stroll through the disco ball adorned glass hallway, you will enter the unique large gathering room that is surrounded by glass & a balcony. Straight ahead of the entry is another comfortable living area that is in the main house off the kitchen. The left side of the entry leads to the kitchen, passing the stairway that leads to the bedroom loft and full bathroom that can accommodate 4. The doorway off the kitchen leads to the updated garage where you will find a ping pong table and ring game. Past the kitchen on the main floor is a conveniently placed powder room. Another glass hallway leads to the one-of-a-kind main level primary en suite bedroom. Keep in mind when planning sleeping arrangements that this bedroom is surrounded by floor to ceiling glass that does not have window coverings. Those who enjoy the sunrise will love this room. You and your guests are using our home at your own risk. We nor the owner of the property will be held responsible for any injuries that occur at the vacation rental or for any lost or stolen items. Any boats (if available) used on the property require life jackets be worn and are used at your own risk. 3.) No boats or trailers are to be parked at our rental properties. Tents of any kind are not allowed.  Arrangements for trailers need to be made. There is parking for 6 cars in the driveway. Parking on the road is prohibited. 4.) Do not move the furniture. 5.) Each cottage has a maximum number of guests that is listed on this contract you must verify that it is correct. That number is not to be exceeded - this includes children and adults. This goes for DAY OR NIGHT. For fire safety, we are required to limit the number in each home. If additional people are found to be staying at the cottage the entire group will be asked to vacate with no refund. Inflatable mattresses or alternative sleeping other than pack n plays or cribs are not allowed. Tents are also not allowed on the property. 6.) Pets are not permitted. If a pet is on the property then there will be a $1500 fee and it will be required that the owner board the pet immediately.  7.) Damages are to be reported during your stay. If we find damage after you vacate, you authorize the charge to your credit card for replacement or repair or provide another credit card number, pay by cash or check. Damages reported upon arrival will not be guests' responsibility. 8.) Cleaners will come to the cottage after you have departed - they will not visit to clean, change linens, or replace towels during your stay. Please contact the office should you need assistance during your stay regarding any cleaning items. 9.) Grills are to be cleaned after each use.  10.) Quiet time is after 10pm nightly. We do not tolerate loud groups and college like parties anytime of the day or night. Drinking games are not allowed on the property. Neighbors must NOT hear you inside or outside the cottage after 10pm. 11.) You are at least 25 years old and will be able to verify with valid identification during your stay if needed. 12.) Weddings and formal events are NOT permitted on our properties, if there is found to be a formal event on the property the entire group will be asked to vacate the property with a no refund. The maximum occupancy of this Property is 16 DAY OR NIGHT due to fire code. 14.) The pool table is to be used properly and children who are not old enough to play or do not know how to play are not allowed to use the equipment. Please do not use the pool table to set drinks or ANYTHING. Guest will be responsible for any damage caused by misuse of equipment. 16.) No more than 5 people in the hot tub at a time. Please rinse of all oils and lotions before entering the hot tub as the filter will not be able to keep up. KIDS CAN NOT BE IN THE HOT TUB WITOUT AN ADULT! 17.) There may be wood for the fire pit that you are welcome to use but it is not provided. You can get firewood at most all local gas stations and stores. Please Do NOT ever leave fireplace on when unattended. 18.) The garage may or may not be available for use. 19.) Fireworks are prohibited on the property at all times. *Disclosure: There may be cameras with sound at outside entrances of cottages ONLY.  These rules are strictly enforced due to NEW city and township ordinances. If any rules are not followed all local fines, security deposits and any other charges will be charged to guest and the entire group will be asked to vacate the property.
