It's the perfect cozy and welcoming space to rest and relax whether traveling for work, visiting family, or exploring the beautiful surrounding area. The space This property is convenient to lots of amenities yet surrounded by a quiet neighborhood. It is also walking distance to Altoona Penn State campus and only 45 minutes from State College. A small plaza is across the street for easy access to various shops. Another plaza with full grocery store is less than a mile away. Community playground with ball field is less than half mile away. We have incorporated numerous features into the home to make it easy to settle in and be comfortable. Two are located at each end of the upper level for maximum privacy and comfort. The third is located on the lower level and features a small sitting area with fireplace. Bathrooms are new with tiled showers, rain head/hand held fixture combos, and LED mirrors over the vanities. Shower bench also available as well as two luggage racks. In the morning enjoy a cup of french pressed coffee from local roaster while watching the antics of the chickens and turkeys while they graze. Cook a wonderful meal in the newly renovated kitchen. It has a full-size refrigerator, gas stove, Keurig coffee maker, French pressed, toaster oven, blender, stick blender and crock pot. It also is well stocked with pots and pans, utensils, dishes and a small table. A washer and dryer are also in the guesthouse. Guest access You will have access to the whole guesthouse which is detached from our house. It is VERY private. Separate parking area and private entrance. Other things to note The guesthouse is ideal for people wanting a quiet getaway, traveling for work, visiting family traveling nurses, medical students or anyone who needs a comfortable clean place to stay. We use Rustic Strength laundry detergent, softener, body soap, shampoo and conditioner. Our hand soaps are from Blueland. both companies' products are clean, non-toxic and earth friendly. We have a dog, two cats, chickens and our Tom named Beam, who live on the property. You might get a visit from Ollie the black and white cat. Our dog is Maisie, Beam, the tom, and the chickens may greet you! Don't worry there is a fence separating you from the animals. While the guesthouse IS treated for pests the Orchard is not. Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. Close enough to the civilization to feel safe yet in a little world of its own. Relax and rejuvenate while surrounded by peaceful nature and wildlife. Yet find many options to shop, attractions, hiking trails, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. just mere minutes away. The space This property is the old kettle nursery location. The brick house on the hill is the owners residence. The gravel driveway to the left leads to the cabin. In the cabin there is a nice sized main area with a small kitchen and sofas. Down a hallway is a door to the outside and a laundry. To the right is the bathroom and bedroom which are adequate size considering the smallness of the cabin. Guest access You will have access to the whole cabin. Feel free to take walks outside. Other things to note Great hiking, shopping and many other attractions nearby. Many State Gameland trails to choose from. Railroad museum, Horseshoe Curve, Altoona Curve, Boyers Candy, DelGroso Amusement Park, Raystown Lake, Shawnee State Park, Prince Galitzan and The Arboretum at Penn State and more are less than an hours drive from The Little Cabin.

Welcome to your home away from Home, located on the outskirts of Altoona, just 1 mile off of i99. We are a 12 min Drive to both Upmc Altoona, Penn state Altoona & any shopping you could want! Also an easy 30 min Drive to Beaver Stadium & PSU state College. We are located on a private lane, & altho there are other houses in close proximity, we are a quiet neighborhood! The space Cozy up next to the fireplace and kick up your feet at your home away from home located in Altoona PA. We are minutes away from UPMC and PSU Altoona and all the shopping you could want! The space This log cabin is very peaceful and secluded. Guest will be sleeping in the master bedroom on the 2nd floor with a king bed and single bed. Enjoy the open floor plan on the first floor. You will love the view from the loft area on the 2nd floor! Mountain view from the front porch and the private back yard. Guest will have the entire property to themselves. Guest access This property is located in an area where there is an abundance of outdoor activities available. Canoe Creek State Park is only 5 minutes away in which you can fish, swim, cookout, or go boating. There are stocked trout streams within 3 minutes of this property. There is the "Rails for Trails" biking and walking path that is only minutes away. Only 10 minutes from Hollidaysburg Pa and 15 minutes from Altoona where you can find restaurants and local pubs.

Other things to note More info on the area: Canoe Creek State park is a hidden gem in central Pennsylvania, offering year round activities such as kayaking on the 155 acre lake, swimming, day, night and ice fishing, ice skating, hiking, horse-friendly trails, disc golf, and birdwatching. **Update: Lower Trail currently has a bridge closure about 7 miles from Flowing Springs Trailhead. Expected to be repaired by July, 2026.** The Lower Trail is a 17-mile rails-to-trails stretch from Canoe Creek State Park to Alexandria, PA, following along the Frankstown Branch of the Juniata River. It passes through the quaint town of Williamsburg where you can find Lower Trail Creamery, Biddle's Coffeehouse & Bakery, and a playground next to the river. The trail features a very easy grade and well maintained fine crushed limestone (except for a few miles of pavement at the beginning and in Williamsburg). Part of The Station Inn, the cozy Lehigh Valley suite welcomes you to a small mountain town, with plenty of local amenities. Next to a busy mainline railroad, train enthusiasts come to stay from far and wide. Great for skiers, bicyclists, and Penn State fans. Accommodates 6 guests. Breakfast not included. The space Our simple, unassuming suite has its own entrance, 3 bedrooms with 2 XL twin beds each, and two small private baths each with shower. The entry includes a desk and breakfast nook, including a Keurig machine, mini fridge, and microwave. Guest access This suite has its own private entrance on the right side of our large front porch. During your stay The rest of our building is a traditional B&B, our on-site innkeeper will be available as needed. Full breakfast is available for an additional charge.

I host a total of 3 bedrooms currently. I have a art studio, wood working shop, sewing room, formal dining room, large back deck, front porch, foyer, oversized kitchen that is fully stocked with every gadget you could ever want. My home offers close proximity to everything including shopping, hospitals, the highway and many things to do in the area like hiking, biking, hunting, fishing, exploring, baseball, skiing, you name it. It is 35 mins to State College, and 1.5 hrs. to Pittsburgh. There are 2 additional airports close by as well. I offer hi-speed WIFI, washer and dryer, private off-street parking, security system along with a huge yard with 2 firepit areas, multiple seating areas and cornhole for my guests to enjoy. Guest access Guess are able to access the whole house except for other bedrooms. Basement and craft room can also be accessed upon approval. During your stay I am a professional who works full-time and love to meet new people and give recommendations about the area or anything else if you'd like to interact. If you like your peace and quiet I can respect that as well. Other things to note 2 small breed very friendly dogs will be sharing the space. One of six available rooms in a large, stately home in central Hollidaysburg. Bright with big south-facing windows. Queen bed, private full bath. Big, mostly organic breakfast with good European coffee. No TV, but there's high-speed Wi-Fi. Ceiling fan, window AC. The space This enormous Second Empire home is full of nooks & crannies to explore. There are six bedrooms to choose from, each with a private full washroom. There is a large dining room, a parlour and an even larger "great room", with 12-foot pier mirrors and a baby grand piano, that we use for receptions and recitals. Guest access There's no TV on offer here, but we have high-speed internet. Plenty of books and periodicals, too, with interesting places to sit and read. We also have many folk instruments - guitars, banjos, mandolins, dulcimers - around the house that guests are welcome to play. During your stay We have two kids of our own to look after, so we won't be in anyone's hair. We will serve guests a very nice breakfast, better than you'll find anywhere else in the area. We use fresh ground Quartermaine coffee, turkey bacon, fresh fruit and organic free range eggs. Other things to note We are multilingual. We can communicate in French, Mandarin and Hindi. Our breakfast is made from mostly certified organic ingredients. Most basics like milk, eggs and butter are organic. Sourcing things like organic cheese, turkey bacon and bread is more difficult where we are, but we do our best to ensure quality. We do not serve any processed food. We don't eat beef or pork and don't serve them, but do serve a variety of other meats and seafood. The house has many folk instruments, especially mountain dulcimers, that guests are welcome to play.
